Abstract

Abstract. This research was motivated by the understanding of mathematical concepts class VIII SMPN 3 Pasir Penyu still low. This study aims to determine student’s understanding of mathematical concepts using time token learning model is better than the students understanding of mathematical concepts using convensional learning in class VIII SMPN 3 Pasir Penyu. This study design was randomized control group only design. This study population was students all class VIII, the sample is class VIII3 and VIII4. Data were analyzed using test-t, analysis result obtained tcount ttable is 2.995 2.002, it can be concluded that the understanding of the mathematical concepts of student with the use of time token learning model better than an understanding of the mathematical concepts of students with the use of convensional learning in class SMPN 3 Pasir Penyu.Keywords: Time token, understanding of mathematical concepts.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of Mathematics students in grade IV SD N 101212 Padang Bujur. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) type of collaboration with steps of planning, action, observation, and reflection consisting of two cycles. Data collection techniques used are test, non-test, and documentation. Adapaun indicator of success of this study is 85% of all students got a value of ≥ 75. The results of the study were analyzed by completeness analysis. In the teaching and learning process using the cooperative type NHT learning model, in cycles 1 and 2 Mathematics learning outcomes increased. Of the students with 15 children, when the pre-cycle students were completed there were 5 (33.33%). Whereas 10 students (66.66%) did not complete. After conducting classroom action research using the NHT cooperative learning model in the first cycle the students who completed the study numbered 8 students (53.33%) while the incomplete ones in the study were 7 students with an average score of 73.66. In the second cycle, students who completed learning were 13 students (86.66%), while those who did not complete the study were 2 students (13.33%) with an average score of 81.33. The results of this study indicate that through the NHT cooperative learning model can improve Mathematics learning outcomes for students in Class IV SD N 101212 Padang Bujur.Keywords: Cooperative learning model Number Head Together (NHT) type, Mathematics Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the trade a problem learning model by rewarding students' mathematical communication skills. This type of research is quasi-experimental research by determining one class of research samples taken randomly as the experimental class. In this study the method of data retrieval is carried out by applying to an experimental class a treatment condition. The population in this study were all VII grade students of SMP N 1 Gunung Malelala. The results show a strong relationship between the Trade A Problem learning model and reward for students' communication skills. Based on the results of the calculation of the regression equation the equation ????̂=27,87+0,64???? is obtained. In this equation the regression direction coefficient (b) = 0.64 is positive, which means that the two variables have a positive linear relationship.Keywords: trade a problem, mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This research which is entitled as a grade X of Senior High School by applying variations of cooperative learning model on each presented material. The research method used is a research development method which is used to produce a developed module and to test the effectiveness.  The validity of module in this research is based on the feasibility of the standard of the media and material. The media feasibility standard of the module consists of aspects of both in graphs and language. The module eligibility standart includes the feasibility aspects of the contents, presentation and contextual assessment. The average score for the aspect of feasibility in graph value is 3.95, the language value is 3.93, the content value aspect is 3.99, and the aspect of valuation of contextual is 4. Thus, the mathematics module for grade X of Senior High School which is developed in this research is valid.

Abstract

Abstract. This research is based on by the student mathematical conceptual understanding still low. The application of brain based learning approach with hypnoteaching method could be expected to overcome the problems. The purpose of this study is to determine student mathematical conceptual understanding using brain based learning approach with hypnoteaching method is better than student mathematical conceptual understanding using convensional learning. This reseach is an experimental a research which use posttest only control design. By selecting a sample class of VII-B as a class experiment and Class VII-A as a class control. Based on the hypothesis test result is obtained that tcount= 3,56 and ttable = 2,02. The conclution is “student mathematical conceptual understanding using brain based learning approach with hypnoteaching method is better than student mathematical conceptual understanding using convensional learning. Keywords: Brain Based Learning Approach, Hypnoteaching, student mathematical conceptual understanding Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pemahaman konsep siswa masih rendah. Penerapan pendekatan brain based learning dengan metode hypnoteaching di duga dapat mengatasi permasalahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemahaman konsep matematika siswa menggunakan penerapan pendekatan brain based learning dengan metode pembelajaran hypnoteaching lebih baik dari pada pemahaman konsep matematika siswa dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ekperimen dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Posttest Only Kontrol Design. Dengan memilih sampel Kelas VII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII A sebagai kelas kontrol. teknik analisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian diperoleh t hitung = 3,56 dan harga t tabel = 2,02. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pemahaman konsep matematika siswa menggunakan penerapan pendekatan brain based learning dengan metode hypnoteaching lebih baik dari pada pemahaman konsep dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Kata Kunci: Brain Based Learning, Hypnoteaching, Pemahaman Konsep Matematika

Abstract

Abstract. The aims of this research is (1) to know there is the diffrentiation of students' mathematical problem solving who teach between Kooperatif Think Pair Share and Think Pair Square, (2) to know there is the diffrentation of student’s attitude Kooperatif Think Pair Share and Think Pair Square, and (3) describe the process problem solving between cooperatif Think Pair Share and Think Pair Square. The research is kuasi eksperiment. The population of this research are all of students in SMP N Pematangsiantar, and the sample chosen  is random, SMP Negeri  9 and SMP Negeri 3 Pematangsiantar with VII-4 and VII-5 as the eksperiment class 1 and VII-5 and VII-7 as eksperimen class 2 with 68 students every class eksperiment. This research uses two ways ANACOVA test. The results of this research shown that: (1) there is diffrentation in mathematical problem-solving from students who teach between Kooperatif Think Pair Share and Think Pair Square, (2) the atttitude of students who teach with kooperatif Think Pair Share better than the students who teach with Think Pair Square, and (3) the process of students answers who are taught with the Think Pair Share better than Think Pair Square. Keywords: Think Pair Share, Think Pair Square, Problem Solving Mathematical Ability, and Student’s Attitude

Abstract

Abstract. Student activity will affect effectiveness for student learning outcomes. The effectiveness of learning consists of four indicators, namely the quality of instruction, the suitability appropriate level of instruction, incentive, and time. The purpose of this study is to: (1) Know how the effectiveness of student learning outcomes in variable calculus subjects after getting learning with discovery learning learning models. (2) Knowing whether there is an increase in student learning outcomes in many variable calculus subjects after getting learning with discovery learning learning models. The data analysis techniques are carried out from the data description test stage, then the prerequisite test is the normality and linearity test, then test the hypothesis. The steps in the study are as follows: (1) The researcher provides a stimulus for the sample class, namely the discovery learning model; (2) At the time of the learning process the partner lecturers see the activity, student learning; (3) Provide essay tests to see the level of success of students in learning; (4) Perform statistical tests to see the effectiveness of student learning outcomes using discovery learning learning models. The results of this study are that there is an effect on the effectiveness of mathematics learning using the discovery learning model of student learning outcomes in many variable calculus subjects, and there is an increase in student learning outcomes after learning with discovery learning models of many variable calculus subjects as much as 20.53.Keywords: Discovery Learning, Learning Outcomes, Calculus

Abstract

Abstract. This study discusses the influence of the scientific approach to mathematical learning outcomes. The type of research used in this writing is quasi-experimental, with scientific approach data collection on students' mathematical learning outcomes. Data analysis used with Simple Regression Analysis Test. Based on the analysis obtained by the results of the study, namely: the relationship or correlation between learning approaches with student learning outcomes with regression , with . The values for testing the data can use the Anova table   and the significance level of 0.000 0.05. So that it can be said that the values of the two data are different. Thus, it can be concluded that there is the influence of the scientific approach to students' mathematical learning outcomes. This shows that the learning approach has a significant effect on students' mathematical learning outcomes. The coefficient of determination is   means that the contribution or influence of the santifik approach (X) on the students' mathematical learning outcomes (Y) is . Thus, the scientific approach is better at contributing to students' mathematical learning outcomes.Keywords: Scientific Approach, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to improve the results of mathematics learning on the subject of summing in integers through Buzz Group method along with media Kelereng on the students of class I SD Negeri 020580 Binjai. And how the creativity and ability of teachers in implementing learning in the classroom. The result of this research concludes that the result of student learning in learning through Buzz Group method is On cycle I the good categorization value reaches only 20%. That means that a small part of the first cycle is more increased than before the improvement of learning. Nevertheless, the less categorized students are still in the most process that is 40% and the categorized is as much as 40% that finally in the second cycle the number of students who are categorized moderate and less should decrease. In cycle II, good categorized value is much more and melngalami significant achievement increase that reaches 80%. then the students who get the category is 20%. After the main problems in the improvement of learning on the cycle I and II implemented, the authors were satisfied with the increase in student value on the implementation of improvement learning in cycle II seen in the moderate category decreased and the absence of students who got less value

Abstract

AbstrakTulisan ini bertujuan untuk membahas salah satu kemampuan dalam matematika yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran matematika yang direkomendasikan NCTM yaitu kemampuan koneksi matematik. Dalam tulisan ini dibahas mengenai bagaimana pentingnya kemampuan koneksi matematik dalam pembelajaran matematika dan bagaimana pembelajaran matematika ynag dapat membangun kemampuan koneksi matematik siswa. Salah satu diantaranya adalah dengan menerapkan paham konstruktivisme di dalam proses pembelajaran matematika disekolah. Kata KunciKoneksi Matematik, Pembelajaran Matematika, Konstruktivisme.
