Abstract

This study aims to identify improving students' math reasoning abilities through learning problem posing in problem solving at students of Mathematics Education Department of FPMIPA IKIP Mataram. The lack of basic knowledge and reasoning ability of mathematics teacher candidate in solving school math problem become the main factor of this research. Therefore, one of the learning methods that can be applied to solve the problem is through problem posing method. This research is Quasi Eksperimen research with Time Series design. The subject of this research consists of 35 mathematics teacher candidates consisting of 18 science students and 17 non-IPA students. The research instrument used consisted of questionnaire, written test (pretest and postest), observation and interview. The validity of the written test description is done through field trials and two validators. Field test results will be used to determine the differentiation, difficulty, validity, and reliability of the test. The data of the writing test were analyzed by using t-test. The result of this research shows improvement of students' reasoning ability in solving problems involving geometry material after applied problem posing (problem solving) method. This increase in reasoning is derived from the problem-solving process of student teacher problem in a structured way.

Abstract

Knuth (2002), Healey and Hoyles (2000) have studied on teachers and students? concept on prooving. However, those studies did not yet discover on case ?how does student?s thinking process on fragmentation proofing?.?The Information Processing Theory is one of the theories that focus on one?s thinking process. It is one of the members of cognitive learning type theory which digs detail and deep on the relationship between subdivisions of information since it has been received from its surrounding until it permanently saved in someone?s mind. The aim of this study was describing thinking process of ikip mataram students in mathematic prooving based on information processing theory.

Abstract

Based on the research that has been done in VII grade student of MTs Asy-Syafi'iyahBendung found a problem that has an average mathematics value low. This iscaused  by learning  mathematics is still conventional and monotonous. So, there needs to be an effort to improve student learning outcomes. One of them is by applying the ELPSA framework learning. The purpose of this action research is to improve the learning outcomes at VII grade student of MTs Asy-Syafi'iyahBendungin academic year 2017/2018. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research consisted 4 stages of CAR (Planning, Implementation, Observation and Reflection). The subject of this research are30 student at VII grade.The study was conducted within 6 weeks. The instruments in this research are daily tests, evaluation tests, and LKS. The results of research showed that student learning outcomes improved after applying ELPSA framework. Student?s completeness scor in cycle I is 30,76% increased to 86.7% in cycle II. Then it can be concluded that the implementation of ELPSA frame work on subject matter statistic can to improve student learning outcomes at VII grade student of MTs Asy-Syafi'iyah Bendung academic year 2017/2018.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) menghasilkan cara pengembangan soft skills di SMK Negeri 3 Kota Bima, (2)  menghasilkan model soft skills yang dapat digunakan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMK Negeri 3 Kota Bima, (3) menghasilkan model soft skills yang efektif menanamkan soft skills bagi siswa. Dalam merancang model soft skills ini, peneliti menggunakan model pengembangan Borg and Gall,Produk pengembangan yang dihasilkan adalah Model Soft skills EDYS (Education Development for Young Soft skills) beserta buku panduan model, modul-modul soft skills, dan perangkat evaluasi. Penelitian pengembangan ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 3 Kota Bima. Siswa kelas X (Sepuluh) dijadikan subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini yakni 4 orang siswa pada ujicoba one to one, 10 orang siswa pada ujicoba kelompok kecil serta 20 orang siswa pada ujicoba lapangan, 1 orang guru dan 2 orang pengamat. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah observasi,  dan angket atau kuesioner. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh adalah model soft skills EDYS (Education Development for Young Soft skills) ini telah memenuhi syarat kevalidan, praktis dan efektif. (1) valid berdasarkan penilaian validator,(2) praktis, karena seluruh aspek sintaks dan pembelajaran terpenuhi, (3) efektif karena mendapat respon positif dari siswa dan meningkatkan soft skills siswa. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah (1) peneliti selanjutnya dapat melanjutkan hingga tahap diseminasi; (2) masih perlu di sempurnakan agar lebih efektif, (3) di manfaatkan dengan baik agar dapat membantu meningkatkan soft skills siswa di sekolah.

Abstract

Masalah yang ada dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya aktivitas dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Mengatasi permasalahan tersebut peneliti mengimplementasikan pembelajaran CORE,yaitu model diskusi yang dapat mempengaruhi perkembangan pengetahuan dan berfikir reflektif yang memiliki 4 tahapan pengajaran yaitu connecting,organizing, reflecting, extending. Dengan memperhatikan karakteristik matematika yang rasional yaitu memuat cara pembuktian yang valid,rumus-rumus atau aturan yang umum atau sifat penalaran matematika yang sistematis memerlukan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang mampu mengaitkan peristiwa yang terjadi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, dengan suatu teori atau pernyataan dalam matematika yang diterima kebenarannya bila telah dibuktikan secara deduktif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas IX IPA1 SMA Negeri 1 Jerowaru sebanyak 26 orang.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus,dengan masing?masing siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan tindakan, tahap observasi, dan tahap refleksi. Adapun instrument yang digunakan peneliti berupa tes evaluasi berupa soal essay untuk mengetahui sejauh mana kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah dan angket observasi aktivitas siswa dan guru untuk mengetahui tingkat keaktifan siswa di dalam kelas. Dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata skor tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa meningkat, yaitu skor pada siklus I adalah 67,47 dan pada tes siklus II yaitu 73,47 dengan kategori baik, sedangkan skor rata-rata aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan yaitu 2,075 dengan kategori cukup aktif pada siklus I sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat dengan nilai rata-rata aktivitas siswa sebesar 2,99 dengan kategori aktif. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi pembelajaran CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) pada materi turunan fungsi mampu meningkatkan aktivitas dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa kelas XI IPA1 SMAN 1 Jerowaru .

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on material eksponensial using mathematical dominoes in the ELPSA framework. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were students IX-1 grade of  SMPN 2 Praya Barat Daya, Central Lombok District TP. 2017/2018 there were 28 people consisting of 15 female students and 13 male students. The research data collection instruments were Observation Sheet and Test Sheet. Indicators of research success are determined based on KKM 70 as a determinant of individual completeness with Classical Completion (KK) of 70%. The results showed that the average pre-action learning achievement was 30.71. After the action in the first cycle increased to 60.18. Student learning achievements in the first cycle increased by 29.47. In the second cycle the average student learning achievement was 76.07, which means an increase of 15.89 from the first cycle. Mastery learning / classical completeness in pre-action by 14.29% increased in the first cycle to 42.86%, and also increased in the second cycle by 71.43%. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the use of mathematical dominoes in the ELPSA framework on material eksponensial can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study was aimed to find out the effectiveness of using Realistic Mathematic Education (RME)towards students? mathematics result learning at the eight students? of  SMP Negeri 7 Mataram in academic year 2016/2017. In this research, the researcher used quasy experimental research method. The population were all of the eight students of  SMPNegeri7Mataram. the researcher divided into two classes. A class is as control group with 45 number of the students.and B class is as experimental group with 45 number of the students. To collect the data,  the researcher used posttest esay that had been tested the validity and realablity. Based on the result of analysis, the data of posttest was obtained from the students? score  of expereimental group was 78,58 and control group was 70,04. The data was analyzed by using t-test with significant level 5%. T-test was 2,86 and t-table was 1,99 with degree of freedom (df) = 88. The result of the data showed that  t-test was higher than t-table. It means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Therefore, the researcher can concluded that the effectiveness of using Realistic Mathematic Education (RME)towards students? mathematics result learning was effective at the eight students? of  SMP Negeri 7 Mataram in academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas pelaksanaan pendampingan berbasis MGMP dalam upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru mata pelajaran dalam penulisan soal pilihan ganda yang baik dan benar, yang bermanfaat bagi Kepala Sekolah dalam rangka melaksanakan pendampingan berbasis MGMP bagi guru mata pelajaran/guru sasaran dalam menulis soal pilihan ganda yang baik dan benar. Hipotesis tindakan: jika pendampingan berbasis MGMP dilaksanakan dengan baik maka profesionalisme guru mata pelajaran dalam menulis soal pilihan ganda yang baik dan benar bagi guru SMA Negeri 6 Mataram semester II Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 dapat ditingkatkan.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus, masing-masing siklus dua kali pertemuan. Tahapan setiap siklus adalah perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Indikator keberhasilan dalam penelitian ini adalah; 1) Hasil observasi Kepala Sekolah  maupun observasi guru selama proses pembimbingan telah memperoleh skor rata-rata >  4,0 (Kategori baik), 2) Hasil kerja guru dalam menulis soal pilihan ganda secara klasikal  memperoleh prosentase > 85% tuntas, dan secara individual memperoleh  nilai rata-rata > 85,00. Hasil penelitian pada siklus I observasi Kepala Sekolah rata-rata (3,58), observasi guru rata-rata (3,54) dan hasil kerja individual rata-rata nilai (76,29) dengan prosentase ketercapaian (16,67%). Pada siklus II observasi Kepala Sekolah rata-rata (4,42) observasi guru rata-rata (4,11) dan hasil kerja individual rata-rata nilai (94,47) dengan prosentase ketercapaian (94,44%). Indikator keberhasilan telah tercapai, penelitian di nyatakan berhasil dan dihentikan pada siklus II. Sistem pendampingan berbasis MGMP sangat efektif dalam upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru mata pelajaran di SMA Negeri 6 Mataram dalam menulis soal pilihan ganda sesuai dengan kaidah yang berlaku. Disarankan agar Kepala Sekolah lainnya mencoba untuk mengadakan pembinaan, pembimbingan, dan atau pendampingan bagi guru mata pelajaran di sekolahnya dalam upaya meningkatkan kompetensi, kualitas, dan profesionalisme guru dalam bidang pedagogic terlebih khusus bagi kompetensi/kemampuan menulis soal pilihan ganda yang baik dan benar sesuai dengan kaidah yang berlaku.

Abstract

Problems encountered in mathematics at  SMP  State 3 Batukliang is low motivation and problem solving skills in mathematics. Therefore this study is to describe the application of problem solving learning method that can increase motivation and problem solving skills mathematical subject matter circle in class VIII B of SMP  State 3 Batukliang in the academic year  2015/2016. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The instrument used in this study is the observation sheet activities of teachers, students' learning motivation questionnaire and evaluation test. Based on the analysis of data obtained by the results of analysis activities of teachers in the first cycle Quite good and well, while on the second cycle well. Analysis of motivation in the first cycle Says gori high motivation and the second cycle Uncategorised very high motivation, problem-solving ability evaluation test on the first cycle with an average value of 66.5 and yet get the average value that has been set is ? 70 and the results of tests evaluating the ability of problem solving cycle II, the average value reached 77.85.So the results obtained from each cycle increasing. Based on these results it can be concluded that the application of learning methods Problem Solving can increase motivation and problem solving skills math class VIII B subject matter circle in the academic year 2016/2017.p
