Abstract

This research’s purpose is to identify and analyze how Lawang Sewu as a Dark Tourism Destination towards domestic tourists’ motivation. So it can explain that Lawang Sewu is indicated as a dark tourism destination towards domestic tourists’ exoerience. The research design used in this research is qualitative descriptive, by making use of the secondary and primary data. The data collection methods that used are observation in Lawang Sewu, interview with the Dinas Pariwisata Kota Semarang, Lawang Sewu Manager, Lawang Sewu tour guide and domestic tourists, documentation, and purposive sampling which is the technique in determining the informants. The results of this research show that the attraction that is dark tourism indicated in Lawang Sewu is the underground room and domestic tourists’ experience who visit Lawang Sewu varies, before visiting, the tourists felt curious and when they are at Lawang Sewu they experience shock.

Abstract

In this current era, many villages in Indonesia carry the concept of Tourism Village. One of them is a creative village located in Dago Pojok Bandung, West Java. This study aims to find out about tourism products and identify how the application of creativity based tourism in the Dago Pojok creative village. Data collection is done by descriptive qualitative method with observation and interview techniques. The variables used are the concept of tourism products consisting of tourist attractions and activities, accommodation facilities and services, other facilities and services (supporting facilities), transportation facilities and services, infrastructure and other institutions, and the concept of creativity based tourism consisting of local artists, ideas/knowledge and interaction. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that tourism products in Dago Pojok creative village are tourism products based on culture, creativity, and art. Dago Pojok creative village is a tourism that is based on creativity, because the elements of Local Artisan, Idea or Knowledge, and Interaction have fulfilled the requirements in implementing tourism with the concept of creativity, but there are some thingsthat need to be improved, namely in the part of interaction it hasn't been carried out optimally.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian music tourism ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi eksisting Jazz Gunung serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendorong dan penarik wisatawan terkait Jazz Gunung Bromo sebagai atraksi music tourism di Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, dengan memanfaatkan data primer dan sekunder. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, penyebaran kuesioner, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kondisi eksisting Jazz Gunung Bromo sudah memenuhi indikator atraksi dari Walsh-Heron dan Stevens dalam Swarbrooke. Faktor pendorong yang paling dominan dalam mendorong wisatawan untuk menghadiri event Jazz Gunung Bromo adalah motivasi fisik, dan faktor penarik wisatawan yang membuat wisatawan tertarik untuk menghadiri Jazz Gunung Bromo adalah tempat serta pengisi acara.

Abstract

Bogor Barat Culinary Area is a culinary area with the most restaurants in the cityof Bogor. It can be known that currently there are approximately 65 restaurants in North Bogor. This area is quite strategic and islocated on the trade route that has been planned by the Bogor City Government, this is the big opportunity for North Bogor Region as the biggestculinary area in th ecity of Bogor. In this study the concept of culinary tourism was used to analyze several restaurants with the concept of culinary tourism seen from the Menu, Food Production Strategy, Service, Price and Room Decor / Atmosphere by taking a sample of 10 restaurants in North Bogor, including : Ayam Geprek Istimewa, Bakso Misterius, Bumi Aki, Foresthree Resto, Gurih 7, Lemongrass Resto, Teras Dara, Whatever Resto dan Warung Urban.The purpose of this study is to analyze the existing conditions of culinary tourism in North Bogor and analyze the selection of restaurants in North Bogor. The design of this study uses a descriptive approach with qualitative methods. For the selection of culinary tourism area, it uses AHP analysis to find out which culinary tourism concept is more desirable and what restaurant is the priority. To find out the development strategy of North Bogor culinary area with a SWOT analysis.

Abstract

Bogor Regency of West Java Province that is developing the potential of its territory for tourist destination and attract the attention of local and foreign tourists to visit. The location that researcher has been choosed to do research is Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng which is located in Bogor regency. Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng located in the village of Cihideung Udik, Ciampea District has a tourism concept based on nature tourism and educational tourism. The purpose of this research are to identify the development component of the destination (factual conditions in the field), identify the tourist tipology who visit Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng and develop strategies Kampoeng Tourism Development Cinangneng based on tourist tipology. This research is a descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative research. Quantitative research is conducted to determine the tourist characteristics and tourist tipology that calculated by used percentages. Qualitative research is conducted to find out the development strategy in Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng. Generally qualitative research method is intended for research that is observed case. The collected data will be analyzed using SWOT analysis, followed by compiling alternative strategies using SWOT matrix. Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng has a good enough strength to be developed based on the tourist tipology, but the nature and culture of the existing tourism has not been maximally utilized, although it has a good accessibility, less complete amenitas, condition of supporting facilities is complete enough. The result of typology is that tourists who visit Kampoeng Wisata Cinangneng tend to mid-centric tipology. Based on the results of SWOT analysis bring out an alternative strategy that is: Invite local people to teach tourists to make souvenirs that them make, adding outbound packages to be variants that can be offered to tourists, make a places to eat in the middle of rice field with food from local community.

Abstract

Malasari village is a village located within the Halimun Salak Mountain National Park. For years, people have been using the National Park area for the sake of livelihood, especially with regard to forest products. However, in later development, tourism becomes an alternative solution for the people of Malasari Village. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of tourism potential and the direction of tourism development at Malasari Village. This study used qualitative approach with descriptive analytical method. Collecting data using interviews and observations in the field. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that the tourism potential that can be developed in Malasari Village is not only the nature-based tourism related to its existence inside Mount Halimun Salak National Park but also cultural tourism, rural tourism, educational and special interests tourism. Based on the results, hencer further research is needed to develop tourism development strategy for Malasari which includes the promotion strategy and partnership of government, private and public.

Abstract

Godong Ijo is a visitors’ attraction offering educational tourism programs with quite strong interaction with nature. The programs are designed as a means of learning, hence they are often participated by students. The purpose of this study is to describe the application of experiential marketing in Godong Ijo’s programs from visitors’ perspectives and to develop development strategy for Godong Ijo based on experiential marketing. The method used is qualitative research method using survey, interview and observation as the data collection techniques. Further, data collected were analysed using SWOT analysis. The result of this research reveals that Godong Ijo has tourism potential in terms of attraction, accessibility, amenity, and ancillary. In terms of experiential marketing, most respondents agree that all experiential marketing elements, i.e. think, sense, feel, act, and relate have been delivered to the visitors. Recommendations for development strategy include more extensive promotion, service improvement, product innovation and more product development.

Abstract

The Safe Travel app is an application developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, which contains practical information to assist Indonesian citizens when they are abroad. The application also gives suggestions and warnings regarding the country that the users are in, to ensure their safety whilst on the trip. Using tourism mobile application concept, the purpose of this research is to describe the features of Safe Travel app and investigate how the application influences the decision to travel among its users. The study used survey as means for data collection method and 60 respondents participated in the survey. Multiple linear regression was used to analyse the data collected. The findings indicate that navigation, social communication, marketing, emergency, transactions and entertainment variable do not influence the decision to travel abroad. Meanwhile, information variable has a positive effect on the decision to travel.

Abstract

Community Based Tourism is a tourism development concept that is adopted at Tanjung Kelayang Beach, Belitung Island. Through this concept it is expected that people living around the beach vicinity can participate in tourism from the planning process up to its implementation. The purpose of this research is to describe local people’s participation in developing the destination, their motivation to participate, and the form of participation. Using qualitative research method, this research employs a participant observation approach in collecting the data. The research finds that local people participate in tourism development by forming a community organization named Gerude Care Belitong. The organization develops a work program which guides them in conducting activities such as organizing event and participating in tourism service provision at Tanjung Kelayang beach.

Abstract

Grand Indonesia Shopping Town is a premium mall offering shopping experience that includes apparels and clothings including internationally renowned brands, restaurants and entertainment options. With modern architecture and design, the Mall is enjoyed by a wide range of consumers. .This study aims to look at the influence of hedonic shopping motivation on the decision to visit among the tourist shoppers at Grand Indonesia Shopping Town. The method used in this research is quantitative descriptive using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with a sample of 100 respondents. Results from this study found that out of six variables that constitute hedonic shopping motivation, only two of which have a significant influence on the decision to visit, namely, the idea of shopping (***) and social shopping (,006).
