Abstract

Leaders are servants for those they lead, a leader must be able to carry out their duties, fulfill the aspirations and needs of those they lead, while the nail philosophy is a new paradigm in Islamic education leadership to shape the personality of a leader who is ready to carry out his duties and can understand his position. and society, in Islam it is explained that a leader must have characteristics, namely a) knowledgeable, creative initiative, sensitive, open-minded and always responsive, b). Act fairly, honestly and consistently, c). Responsible, d). Selective of information, e). Always give a warning, f). Able to provide instructions and directions, g). Likes to discuss, h). Istiqomah and tough stance, i). Happy to do good, j). Always willing to lighten the burden of others, k). Creative and trusting, l). Have a competitive spirit, m). Aesthetics, good personality and neat appearance, n). Always harmonious and professional in action, o). Disciplined and productive. A leader will face various types of wood (society), which cannot be forced. Leaders must be able to be the mediating nail, the binder or binder between different communities.

Abstract

A leader is very influential in the course of the educational process. The leadership of the head of SMA A. Wahid Hasyim Tebuireng can be categorized as a democratic leader. This can be seen, one of which is from the way he makes decisions, he always includes his subordinates or staff in every decision-making process. Involvement of subordinates or staff in decision-making, it is expected that they feel they have a sense of responsibility in carrying out decisions. The quality of education is in accordance with national education standards. The supporting factor in improving the quality of education is the fulfillment of qualified human resources (HR). While the inhibiting factor is the lack of funds for quality improvement.

Abstract

The main role of the principal as an educational leader is to create a teaching and learning situation so that teachers can teach, and students can learn well. In carrying out the role of the principal, the headmaster has a dual responsibility, namely carrying out school administration to create a good teaching and learning situation and carrying out supervision so that teachers increase in carrying out teaching tasks and in guiding the growth of students. Principals who can carry out their functions as educators, managers, administrators, supervisors, leaders, innovators, and motivators can be said to have good leadership abilities. Teachers are one of the factors that affect the quality of education. To improve teacher competence, it is necessary to conduct a testing system for teacher competence. In line with the regional autonomy policy, several regions have conducted teacher competency tests, they do so mainly to determine the ability of teachers in their area, to increase their ranks and positions, as well as to appoint school principals and deputy principals.

Abstract

Education is something strategic and fundamental to the intellectual life of the nation. Improving the quality of education is one of the main pillars in building education in Indonesia. Quality education is education that is able to produce graduates who have the ability or competence, both academic competence, and vocational competence, which are based on personal and social competencies, as well as noble moral values, all of which are life skills. produce a complete human being (a complete human being) or a human being with an integral personality (integrated personality) capable of integrating faith, knowledge, and charity. Abstract

Monitoring the process or ar-riqobah in every form of leadership is something that must exist and must be implemented. The accentuation of this activity is to research and check whether the implementation of planning tasks is really being carried out or not. This is also to find out whether there are deviations, abuses, and deficiencies in its implementation. If there is, then it needs to be revised. The function of supervision or control is one of the activities to make improvements, not activities to find faults. To be able to carry out supervision properly, the planning concept must exist and be clear. Without planning it is difficult to detect deviations and without knowledge of deviations, the control function will be very blurry. This paper aims to examine the concept of control, the term Controlling in the Qur'an and hadith, the function and purpose of Controlling, controlling requirements, steps in the process of supervision, implementation of controlling in Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This paper will reveal the role of pesantren in shaping traditions in Indonesia. it has a distinctive pattern, which is the result of creativity in translating the heritage of two traditions at once, the West and the Middle East. The focus of the problem will be directed at Islamic boarding schools and Kyai. The formulations discussed are First, what are the roots of Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia, which make them cultural brokers? Second, how can pesantren become an established educational institution in the contestation of education in Indonesia in this modern era? Third, what is the form of the Islamic boarding school cultural broker in responding to the phenomenon of modernity in Indonesia? The approach used in discussing the formulation of the problem above is Postcolonial using the concept of Edward Said. From Said's approach and theoretical concept, the formulation of the problem above can be concluded first, the scientific root of pesantren is Islam during the Walisongo period. Second, Islamic boarding school education has become stable and established due to the emergence of the nation-state century. Third, there are two forms of cultural brokers from pesantren, namely pesantren and Kyai figures.

Abstract

The world of education from time to time began to experience rapid development, therefore, to manage and develop education in schools requires management knowledge and a leader/head, therefore the principal is in charge of improving the education system so that education is more efficient and effective. And the principal serves as a supervisor, as a manager, as an educator, and as an entrepreneurship developer, in carrying out his duties the principal needs teaching staff who have different logic, personality, social, and professional potential. Professional teachers have personal, social, intellectual, moral, and spiritual responsibilities, and can carry out their duties as teachers. Professional teachers have adequate professional education qualifications, have abilities following their fields. because management science is one of the most important aspects in managing an institution or agency, including educational institutions.

Abstract

The library is the most important part of an institution because the library is very far from the ancient system with now, so the use of this library is very urgent in the world of education in general and in the world of students in particular. With a library system that is used in a professional way, superior and outstanding students will be formed. This study focuses on how the model of student empowerment in reading, library management in increasing reading interest, supporting and inhibiting factors of library management in increasing students' interest in reading at MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Bandung Diwek Jombang. This research is qualitative research. While the data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data reduction, data display, and data verification. The model of empowering students in reading at MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Diwek Jombang can be simulated with several points, namely programming for reading, motivating, and coaching the reader. In the management of the library at MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah Diwek Jombang there are several things that are carried out as functions of management, namely planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising. The inhibiting factor for library management in increasing students' reading interest is that it can be influenced by several factors, namely management management is still not carried out optimally, collections of books or library materials have not been maximized, human resources or librarian staff, and facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Educational supervision by some teachers is considered frightening, finding faults and fulfilling administrative documents only. This cannot be separated from the lack of supervisors in properly planning and understanding the objectives and principles of supervision. Educational supervision aims to provide supervision and guidance to teachers to improve their skills and professionalism in building good teaching and learning situations. The principle of educational supervision is based on the development of teacher potential, coaching, cooperative, constructive, realistic, and far from authoritarian. Supervision planning is the activity of preparing teacher assistance documents, starting from the objectives, programs, time allocation, and targets, as well as managing existing resources so that monitoring activities can achieve the expected. Aspects that need to be considered in supervision include; 1) Coaching, meaning that supervisors must be able to develop a coaching program in terms of processes, assessments, and targets to be achieved in the implementation of supervision. 2) Monitoring, this area should not be outside the provisions of applicable education standards. 3) Assessment, carried out objectively based on the teacher's performance and the teacher's transformation process towards his students. 4) Teacher coaching is a follow-up to the implementation of educational supervision.

Abstract

Indonesia's Human Development Index (HDI) belongs to the lower middle class in Southeast Asia, marked by the slowing growth of HDI, so that all elements of society are required to improve their skills and competencies. One way is through the field of education, through knowledge management in an educational institution that aims to improve the competence of the teacher council, MI Nurul Huda 2 Mojokerto City is one of the educational institutions that links the role of knowledge management as a step to improve organizational performance, through the implementation of the KKG (Group Group). Teacher Work) together with the Sister School namely MI Muslimat NU, Pucang, Sidoarjo they collaborated in creating learning innovations, which were then disseminated by KKG participants to all teachers in the educational institution, but in its implementation it was inseparable from obstacles, ranging from the lack of attendance, lack of enthusiasm and lack of enthusiasm for teachers, that's what happened, but all can be overcome by giving rewards for those who are active in activities. while there is also punishment (coaching) for those who are not active in activities, all of which are aimed at achieving the mission and goals of the organization, and the implementation of knowledge management is going well with the result of local wisdom.
