Abstract

This research is motivated by the low academic quality of Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Kebumen Regency. One of the causes of low academic quality is due to low teacher performance. To improve teacher performance, the role of the Madrasah Tsanawiyah head, both as a leader and supervisor, is very necessary. The objectives to be achieved through this research are to find out: (1) the influence of the MTs head's leadership on the performance of MTs teachers throughout Kebumen Regency; (2) the effect of clinical supervision on the performance of MTs teachers in Kebumen Regency; and (3) the influence of the leadership of the madrasa head and clinical supervision on the performance of MTs teachers in Kebumen Regency. Data collection using a questionnaire. The population in this study, namely teachers who teach in 88 MTs both public and private, totaling 1,484 teachers. Samples were taken using probability sampling technique or random sampling from 9 MTs. Furthermore, to determine the number of samples, the Herry King Nomogram table was used with a 5% degree of freedom to obtain a sample of 143 respondents. The technique used in analyzing the data through three stages. The three stages are: First, data description. Second, homogeneity and normality tests as prerequisite data before being analyzed. Third, test the hypothesis. The descriptive results showed that the leadership criteria for the head of Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Kebumen Regency were 67.1% very good, 31.5% good, 1.4% good enough, while clinical supervision criteria 7% very good, 39.8% good, 37 .8% sufficient, 14.7% less, and 0.7% not good. The teacher performance criteria are 21% very good, 71.3% good, 6.3% sufficient, and 1.4% less. Through the homogeneity test it is known that the data is not homogeneous because the significance value is 0.000 or less than 0.05. Through the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test it is also known that the data for the principal leadership variable and teacher performance are not normal, while for the clinical supervision variable the distribution is normal. The results of the research analysis show that the probability number is 0.000 or less than 0.05, both the relationship between the leadership of the madrasah head and teacher performance, the relationship between clinical supervision and teacher performance, and the relationship between the leadership of the madrasah head of clinical supervision and teacher performance. This means that there is a significant influence between the leadership relationship of the madrasa head and teacher performance, the relationship between clinical supervision and teacher performance, as well as the relationship between the leadership of the madrasa head and clinical supervision and the performance of Madrasah Tsanawiya teachers.

Abstract

Fairy tales or folktale are part of the story of rayat (folklore). Every region in Indonesia has many stories of folklore and fairy tales that contain aspects of culture, education, character and high moral values. In order to safeguard and inherit the value of local wisdom and the value of education to the next generation, fairy tales are very feasible to be used as a medium for learning Indonesian language and literature at the basic education level, especially in Elementary Schools (SD) and Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI). This article aims to discuss and explain: (1) The potential for diversity of tales as part of folklore spread in various places is the socio-cultural wealth of the community. (2). Fairy tales can be used as a medium for learning Indonesian language and literature in elementary and MI basic education. (3) Fairy tales can be a means of improving literacy culture among elementary and MI students.

Abstract

General Psycholinguistics is the study of how the observation or perception adults of the language and how it produces language also regarding underlying cognitive processes when a person uses language. This article focused on language acquisition and language development of children. There is problem that faced in language teaching Psycholinguistics. As psycholinguistics is a core of language, knowing the language acquisition and language development of children is one of solutions to solve the problems in language teaching. It is divided two kinds of languages, Language Acquisition of Children and Language Development of Children.

Abstract

The leadership of the Madrasah Principal is one of the factors that influence teacher performance improvement. Madrasah heads through transformational leadership are expected to be able to improve teacher performance at MA Al-Iman Bulus Gebang Purworejo. This study aims to determine the behavior of the madrasa head in improving the performance of MA Al-Iman Bulus Gebang Purworejo teachers, especially transformative behavior in their leadership. This research was conducted with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were school principals, teachers and students. Data collection techniques from this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the head of MA Al Iman Bulus Gebang Purworejo has implemented the four dimensions of transformational leadership. This is evidenced by the results of the study, namely: 1) the Madrasah Head provides ideal influence; 2) The Head of Madrasah provides motivation that inspires teachers in improving teacher performance at MA Al-Iman Bulus Gebang Purworejo; 3) The head of the Madrasah provides scientific stimulation to the teacher so that the performance of the MA Al Iman Bulus Gebang Purworejo teacher increases; 4) The head of the Madrasah as a leader pays close attention to individual teachers so that the performance of MA Al-Iman Bulus Gebang Purworejo teachers is increasing.

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of unsatisfactory teacher performance. In this regard, this study aims to determine the influence of the principal's leadership, organizational culture, and work motivation on teacher performance at SMK Ma'arif 2 Gombong Kebumen. This research is a quantitative study. The population in this study were all teachers at SMK Ma'arif 2 Gombong Kebumen, and the sample in this study was 40 people. Data collection using questionnaires, and data analysis using simple linear regression analysis techniques and multiple linear regression analysis. This study resulted in the following conclusions. (1) The Principal's Leadership has a fairly positive influence on Teacher Performance at Ma'arif 2 Gombong Kebumen Vocational School, as evidenced by the value of Sig = 0.028 < α = 0.05. The value of the correlation coefficient (r2) = 0.347 or contributes 34.7%. (2) Organizational Culture has a strong positive and significant influence on Teacher Performance at Ma'arif 2 Gombong Kebumen Vocational School, as evidenced by the value of Sig = 0.000 < α = 0.05. The value of the correlation coefficient (r2) = 0.725 or a contribution of 72.5%. (3) Work Motivation has a strong positive and significant influence on Teacher Performance at SMK Ma'arif 2 Gombong, Kebumen, as evidenced by the value of Sig = 0.000 < α = 0.05. The value of the correlation coefficient (r2) = 0.631 or contributes 63.1%. (4) Principal Leadership, School Culture, and Work Motivation Together have a strong, positive and significant influence on Teacher Performance at SMK Ma'arif 2 Gombong Kebumen, as evidenced by the value of Sig = 0.000 < α = 0.05. The value of the correlation coefficient (R2) = 0.787 or a contribution of 78.7%.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research. The population and sample in this study were all teachers at SMK Ma'arif 9 Kebumen, namely 21 people. Data collection using questionnaires, and data analysis using simple linear regression analysis techniques and multiple linear regression analysis. This study resulted in the following conclusions. (1) Academic Supervision has a positive and significant influence on the Quality of Learning at Ma'arif 9 Kebumen Vocational School, as evidenced by the value of Sig = 0.048 < α = 0.05. The value of the correlation coefficient (r2) = 0.191 or a contribution of 19.1%. (2) School culture has a positive and significant influence on the quality of learning at SMK Ma'arif 9 Kebumen, as evidenced by the value of Sig = 0.007 < α = 0.05. The value of the correlation coefficient (r2) = 0.324 or a contribution of 32.4%. (3) Teacher performance has a positive and significant influence on the quality of learning at SMK Ma'arif 9 Kebumen, as evidenced by the value of Sig = 0.000 < α = 0.05. The value of the correlation coefficient (r2) = 0.668 or a contribution of 66.8%. (4) Academic Supervision, School Culture, and Teacher Performance together have a positive and significant influence on the Quality of Learning at Ma'arif 9 Kebumen Vocational School, as evidenced by the value of Sig = 0.000 < α = 0.05. The value of the correlation coefficient (R2) = 0.673 or contributes 67.3%.

Abstract

The principal has a great responsibility in organizing educational activities. Therefore the principal is required to be able to manage the existing management in the institution he leads. However, the progress and decline of schools is not only influenced by the role of the school principal, but the results of the joint activities of various parties, including school committee officials. The school principal as an education manager is required to find and implement a new management strategy that can encourage quality improvement in schools. SBM is one of the government's efforts to achieve excellence in the nation's community in mastering science and technology. The aim of implementing SBM is to improve the quality of learning, curriculum, human resources and school services in general. This research seeks to reveal the principal's strategy in implementing SBM at SMP N 16 Purworejo. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection was carried out on research sources using interview, observation, and documentation techniques. The collected data is processed by data reduction activities, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity test was carried out using source triangulation techniques to ensure that the data obtained is valid. The results showed that the strategy used by the principal in implementing SBM at SMP N 16 Purworejo used the principles of autonomy, flexibility, participation and initiative. The principle of autonomy includes the principal's understanding of his role as an organizational leader who is independent and has autonomy in schools, teachers' understanding of changes in their role in SBM which affects the implementation of the learning process and the establishment of school programs, the understanding of school committee members of their role in managing schools according to the school's procedures manage MBS. The principle of flexibility includes the principal's understanding of his role as a flexible organizational leader, the teacher's understanding of the principal's flexibility in implementing SBM, the school committee's understanding of the principal's role as a flexible leader in implementing SBM. The principle of participation includes the participation of school principals and stakeholders, parents, teachers and administrative staff in decision making and other activities at school. Initiative principles include planning, curriculum management, process management such as teaching and learning activities, staff management, facility management, student services, school and community relations, school climate management, and evaluation.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) identify and analyze the technical skills of school principals in improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 9 Purworejo, (2) identify and analyze the human skills of school principals in improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 9 Purworejo Regency, (3) find out and analyzing the conceptual skills of school principals in improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 9 Purworejo. This study uses a qualitative approach with the main data source being humans and the research results in the form of words or statements that are in accordance with the actual situation. The research subjects were school principals and the informants were vice principals and teachers of SMP Negeri 9 Purworejo. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data using data triangulation techniques. Data analysis using data collection techniques, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show: (1) The technical skills of the principal of SMP Negeri 9 Purworejo Regency in improving teacher performance have gone well. Technical ability is a skill in using knowledge, methods, techniques, and equipment to complete certain tasks. Technical skills include the application of knowledge about classroom management, the use of teaching methods, student evaluation techniques, techniques for making learning program units, techniques for managing educational facilities and infrastructure, as well as techniques for directing and coaching teachers in schools. (2) The human skills of the head of SMP Negeri 9 Purworejo Regency in improving teacher performance are going well. Human ability is the ability of school principals to work together, communicate with school personnel in order to create an atmosphere of mutual trust in school programs and can provide motivation to improve teacher performance. Manifested by providing motivation, opportunities for self-development, appreciation, family attitude, good communication, and in delegating tasks. (3) The conceptual skill of the principal of SMP Negeri 9 Purworejo Regency in improving teacher performance has gone well. Conceptual ability in the form of the skills of the school principal to determine strategies, plan, formulate policies, and decide what happens within the organization, including schools as educational institutions listed in the vision, mission and goals of the school, plans for school activities for the short and long term.

Abstract

This research is based on the importance of human resource management in a school. In this regard, this study aims to determine Human Resource Management in Efforts to Improve Teacher Quality at SMK Maarif NU 1 Kembaran Banyumas. This research is a qualitative research. Data collection used interviews, observation, and documentation, and the validity of the data used triangulation, and data analysis techniques included data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This research resulted in four conclusions: (1) Human resource planning carried out at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Kembaran Banyumas, namely by analyzing the volume and workload, then analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of the school's workforce. The school's financial capacity for operational costs, infrastructure and monthly expenses such as electricity, infrastructure maintenance and honoraria are also important things to consider. (2) Recruitment, selection and placement of human resources at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Kembaran Banyumas are divided into 2, namely recruitment, selection and placement of workers from internal and external sources. (3) Training and Development of Human Resources at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Kembaran Banyumas, namely by using two approaches, namely training carried out in the workplace (On The Job Training) and Training carried out outside the workplace (Off The Job Training) . (4) The evaluation or assessment carried out at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Kembaran, Banyumas Regency is an annual system, namely an evaluation that is carried out once every year. The evaluation implemented at SMK Ma'arif NU 1 Kembaran Banyumas is supervision activities (class to class visits) by the school principal and the team appointed as the assessment team, namely the deputy principal.

Abstract

In general, the purpose of this research is to get a descriptive picture of the implementation of management that focuses on management of improving the quality of the results of the National Examination (UN) scores at MTs Negeri 1 Kebumen. By tracing the planning, implementation, evaluation. follow-up to improving the quality of National Examination (UN) scores at MTs Negeri 1 Kebumen. Research using qualitative methods. The process of collecting data for researchers, in order to better understand the following, will describe the procedure for collecting data in this study as follows: Observation, Interview, Study of Documents. Technical analysis of data in a qualitative research can be used descriptive narrative, through three paths, namely: Data reduction, Presentation data, and conclusion/verification. Based on the research findings, the authors can inform that: (1) Planning is making targets to be achieved or achieved in the future. Planning for improving the quality of education at MTs Negeri 1 Kebumen is carried out with various considerations. The planning function carried out at MTs Negeri 1 Kebumen includes setting up funding sources, madrasah resources or personnel and efforts to foster them, and curriculum development. Formulation of plans to improve the quality of education at MTs Negeri 1 Kebumen through deliberations or madrasah meetings involving the Madrasah head, teachers, staff and Madrasah committees. (2). Implementation or direction as a plan to improve the quality of education at MTs Negeri 1 Kebumen is implementation as a process of controlling educational institutions that run according to predetermined paths and reach their goals effectively and efficiently.
