Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is how to use mobile library services in growing interest in reading early childhood. The purpose is to find a solution to the problems experienced by the community now about how to foster interest in reading for early childhood. Especially among schools, in an effort to overcome the low interest in reading. Interest in reading alone has a big role in the progress of a nation. Now when we see the fact that our country is a country that is still very low in reading interest compared to other countries, especially neighboring countries. So that interest in reading is the key to advancing a nation, it is important to know that mastery in the knowledge of technology and communication can only be enjoyed by a high interest in reading. And those who participated in the foremost role in fostering reading interest included family, community, and educational institutions in the community. The presence of a mobile library will make children interest in reading. Kelilign library has several benefits for readers, namely: a) the library itself is able to grow a variety of knowledge in children. b) and with the library there will be a love for books and reading in children. c) with the library intelligence in children will increase. d) libraries can enrich children’s insights and experiences. e) disputes can be used as a tool in the child’s learning process. f) and with the library there will be a sense of responsibility for children.

Abstract

The development of the internet has made it easier for people to get information,spread information, and work using social media. Vlog is one of the social mediathat can earn income if it is consistent in its use. This study aims to compare the wayof vloggers in delivering video blogs. This study used descriptive qualitative method.The results of this study indicate that the vlog made by Ria SW with Arief Muhammadhas different content where they are both vloggers who are looking for income byattracting people to see the videos they upload. Suggestions and recommendationsfrom this study are that anyone can disseminate their work to the wider community,besides earning income by uploading videos such as Ria SW and Arief Muhammad ifthe public wants to use the internet media well.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the selection of the collections in the library Al Izzah LPMI Batu, East Java. With the benefit of providing research solutions to do the selection collection in the library Al Izzah LPMI Batu City in East Java in overcoming obstacles faced about the selection of the collection. The type of research used in this study is a qualitative research technique of observation and interviews.Based on observations and interviews direct to the Library Manager Al Izzah LPMI stone town, East Java can be summed up as follows. First, the selection process for the collection activities (fiction) does not do any procurement of collection. This selection process was conducted using three tools of seletion i.e. using Catalog for publishers, Indonesia’s national bibliography, and reviews books. Second, the obstacles faced in the activity of a selection of fiction in the library Al Izzah LPMI batu City, East Java, is the lack of human resources, the difficulty of finding fiction collection shades of Islam, and is still limited to the choice of the equipment used

Abstract

Perpustakaan desa dapat berperan sebagai lembaga pendidikan nonformal, agen perubahan, dan agen pembangunan bagi masyarakat sekelilingnya. Pendidikanberfungsi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan, membentuk watak dan peradaban bangsa yang bermartabat dalam rangka mencerdaskan kehidupan masyarakat dan bangsa. Perpustakaan desa dapat melakukan optimalisasi perpustakaan dalam mendukung program pemerintah dalam meningkatkan pendidikan masyarakat. Adapun strategi yang dapat dilakukan perpustakaan desa, antara lain: 1) optimalisasi koleksi; 2)penyesuaian jam buka perpustakaan dengan aktivitas masyarakat; 3) mengadakanpenyuluhan mengenai manfaat membaca secara berkala; 4) menyediakan taman baca di tingkat RW; 5) mengadakan lomba dengan topik kreativitas masyarakat; 6)mengadakan layanan delivery.

Abstract

Di era gadget ini membawa perubahan yang pesat dalam kegiatan membaca masyarakat.Perpustakaan perguruan tinggi sebagai sumber informasi, sumber belajar dan sumberpengetahuan dapat memperkuat perannya dalam meningkatkan minat baca dan sebagaisarana mencerdaskan masyarakat. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh PerpustakaanUniversitas Sebelas Maret antara lain : (1). melakukan pendidikan pemakai, (2).orientasi perpustakaan, (3). library tour, (4). penyebaran brosur perpustakaan, (5).menerbitkan jurnal ilmiah, (6) magang perpustakaan, (7). pengadakan berbagaiperlombaan di Perpustakaan, (8) memberikan penghargaan kepada pemustaka teraktif,(9). menambah jam layanan.

Abstract

Sejak jaman prasejarah manusia sudah mengembangkan budaya menulis, Menulis merupakan sebuah kegiatan positif bentuk aktualisasi diri dan idealisme. Generasi muda jaman now harus membudayakan budaya baca menulis agar tercipta generasi yang cerdas dan kreatif. Buku dapat memperluas cakrawala dan memperkaya pengetahuan. Pada proses belajar dan mengajar di sekolah budaya membaca dan menulis sangat penting. Keterampilan membaca dan menulis membantu ketika seseorang berinteraksi social banik antar individu maupun kelompok. Individu yang sudah terbiasa berpikiran ilmiah karena budaya ilmiah baca tulis ini akan terbiasa menggunakan akal dan logika dalam menyikapi setiap persoalan. Peradaban dan karakter suatu bangsa dipengaruhi oleh budaya ilmiah membaca dan menulis. Semakin tinggi peradaban suatu bangsa semakin banyak penduduknya yang haus akan ilmu pengetahuan

Abstract

This paper aims to understand how the collection development activities, and evaluation activities in Department of Achives and Library of Gorontalo Province. The methodology used is a conceptual theoretical approach using studies from various printed sources and scientific journals and using interviews to supplement the data. Collection development is basically an activity related to the development of library collections including selection, selection policy determination, assessment of the needs of users and potential users, collection analysis, collection user reviews, budgetarrangements, collection evaluations, identification of collections required by users, until the plan to cooperate. After analyzing the theories that have been explained with the reality in the Department of Achives and Library of Gorontalo Province, the library has conducted evaluation activities in accordance with the existing flow by determining when the evaluation activities will be implemented, determine the objectives, start theevaluation activities by selecting the techniques used in evaluating the collection. It is expected that the library can continue to implement evaluation activities correctly so that problems related to require the information can be overcome well.

Abstract

The social movement that happened was the lack of maintenance of Jogja, so that Jogjawas deemed not Jogja anymore, because the characteristic of this city had waned.Instagram @merawatjogja is used as a medium to disseminate information based onsocial movements that occur in the community, where people can interact with creatorsto share information through comments on their posts and participate in social actionscarried out by this group. The method used in this research is desktiptif-qualitativeby using literature study. The results of this study, namely creators @merawatjogja,use Instagram as a medium to disseminate information to virtual communities basedon social movements that occur in society. The virtual community in question is @merawatjogja followers who carry out information sharing, communication betweencreators and users, and participate in caring for Yogyakarta.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan pengembagan koleksikhusus Muhammadiyah Corner dan mengetahui tingkat urgensi kebijakan tertulispengembangan koleksinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif,dengan melakukan observasi langsung dan wawancara dengan petugas yang ada diperpustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah pengembangan koleksi MuhammadiyahCorner di perpustakaan Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta hanya sebatas menunggu hibah maupun hadiah dari berbagai kalangan yang berisi koleksi sesuai kriteria yang ditentukan, sehingga kebijakan pengembangan koleksi Muhammadiyah Corner dibutuhkan untuk segera direalisasikan.
