Jurnal Panangkaran merupakan jurnal Assosiasi Peneliti Agama-agama yang bekerjasama dengan Pusat Penelitian dan Penerbitan LP2M UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta sebagai media komunikasi hasil penelitian para peneliti, ilmuwan dan cendekiawan. Tujuannya adalah untuk mewadahi, menyebarluaskan dan mendialogkan wacana ilmiah di bidang penelitian sosial keagamaan. Naskah yang dimuat dalam jurnal berasal dari hasil-hasil penelitian maupun kajian-kajian kritis para peneliti agama atau akademisi yang berkaitan dengan permasalahan kehidupan sosial keagamaan, kelekturan, pendidikan dan keagamaan, agama dan sains. Jurnal terbit setahun 2 kali pada bulan Juni dan Desember.

Abstract

Lately, Sunni-Shia relation gets a negative response in the Indonesian community. This article based on the research results “The Relation of Sunni-Shia in Bangsri, Jepara, Central Java”. This studyused a descriptive qualitative approach, and data collected with observation,depth interview, and document review. The sosial relation between Sunni-Shia is very harmonious, because it’ssupported by religious tolerance highly. It can be seen in the attitude of both sides to understand and aware toward doctrinal differences which believed. In addition, it can be seen too at the culture of ‘gotong royong’ community that is institutionalized in the associations “jamaah Muawanah” and “Jamaah Manakib”. Both these associations becomea medium of muslim in maintaining the harmony and peace of the religious community.

Abstract

Statistical data shows that Yogyakarta Special Region (Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta – DIY) has the largest number of elderly in comparison to other provinces throughout Indonesia. As a province headed by a sultan, there is a tendency for residents of Yogyakarta to serve as courtiers to the Yogyakarta Sultanate for life. More than 50% of the 2200 courtiers are over 60 years old (elderlies). These elderly courtiers willingly serve for decades without pay as they only expect to be afforded “peparingan” (charity contributions) from the Sultan. With the implementation of the Law on Privileges of Yogyakarta as a Special Region year 2012, the wages for courtiers have since multiplied compared to the Sultan’s previous peparingan. The object of this research is to find a tendency in the work value of elderly courtiers in the Yogyakarta Sultanate and examine whether changes in work value before and after the issuance of the Law on Privileges of Yogyakarta occurred. Data collection was conducted through interviews with 12 punokawan courtiers working in the Yogyakarta Sultanate. Results show that elderly courtiers tend to possess work value relating to comfort, altruism, and status. No difference in these three work values were observed before and after the implementation of the Privileged Fund that lead to additional income, this is because added income is considered as a blessing for their continuous whole-hearted services.

Abstract

The term readability index is essentially related to understandability in reading and its core is in the quality of the reader’s reading capacity, not the quality of the text. In this research index is connected to the term text readability, which is readability that is linked to text only i.e. a book and then linked to index. This research aims to describe the index of book readability, that is the level of cohesiveness between the core material and the entire book on Faith-Virtue of Grade XI Islamic Senior High School (MA) of the 2013 curriculum for Exact Science, Social Science, and Language interest classes which were organized by sub-chapters. The main point of this research is answering the question: what is the readability index/level of the book being analyzed, that is the level of appropriateness or cohesiveness of the core material with the entire content of the text book on Faith-Virtue for Grade XI MA from the 2013 curriculum for Exact Science, Social Science, and Language interest classes as organized by sub-chapters? And what are the response of the teachers regarding the substantive content of the book?Research results show that, firstly, the readability index of the Faith-Virtue Lesson is at 25%. The readability level of the analyzed book shows a level of appropriateness or cohesiveness between the core material with the entire content of the textbook on Faith-Virtue for Grade XI MA from the 2013 curriculum for Exact Science, Social Science, and Language interest classes. The value of readability index had a percentage of 82.3 (very high), with an average index acquired at 81.36, which shows that the readability index according to the readers at the Islamic Senior High School was very high. Secondly, regarding the quality of response according to the teachers, when comparing the K-13 (2013 curriculum) with the KTSP (Education Unit Level Curriculum), they thought that it was better when they were using the KTSP. The reason being the K-13 textbook seemed to be lacking in substantive depth. Hence an assembly for teachers of similar subject matter (MGMP) was held to compose a student work sheet (LKS) for this subject with the strongest reason, according to the teachers, being it is more practical and in-depth. Thirdly, there are discrepancies between the standard competence (KD) and the core material, there are inconsistencies of chapters – subchapters wherein the table of contents, technique in scientific writing, and book composition were not undertaken thoroughly and carefully. There were many notes acquired from the teachers’ reading results regarding corrections to complete the book.

Abstract

This paper relooks at how most people are vulnerable in facing plural society. Within multi-culture community project in which all religions have equal right and the raising of religious exclusivism, this paper attempts to show how religious plurality maintained in the plural community. One of prominent issue in this context of plural communit is blasphemy. Beside in order to maintain religious harmony in plurality, the law of blasphemy was also purposed to protect any religious issues that despised another religion. Here, blasphemy occurs for some reasons, first is massive understanding about religion is still monolitic and much affected from religious exclusivism, secondly the law about blasphemy is still unfamiliar among plural community. In order to overcome this issue, this paper will unpack the blasphemy law and how it is affected among plural community. Through the paradigm about Maqashid Syari’ah, this paper will argue that the law about blasphemy should be introduced toward communityintensively and massively. Beside it is emphasizing religious plurality; it could be also as medium for communicating the issues of religious blasphemy.[Paper ini melihat kembali bagaimana kebanyakan orang rentan dalam menghadapi masyarakat majemuk. Dalam masyarakat multi-kultur, di mana seluruh agama memiliki kebenaran yang sama dan meningkatnya eksklusifitas agama, paper ini mencoba memperlihatkan bagaimana kemajemukan agama dijaga dalam masyarakat yang plural. Salah satu isu yang menonjol dalam  konteks masyarakat majemukadalah penistaan. Selain untuk menjaga keharmonisan agama dalam kemajemukan, hukum penistaanjuga dituju untuk menjaga berbagai masalah agama yang memandang rendah agama lain. Di sini terjadinya penistaan agama terjadi karena beberpa alasan.pertama, adalah pemahaman yang masif mengenai agama masih monolitis dan banyak terpengaruh dari eksklusifitas agama.kedua, hukum terhadap penistaan masih kurang familiar di antara masyarakat majemuk. Untuk mengatasi isu ini, paper ini akan membongkar hukum penistaan dan bagaimana itu mempengaruhi di antara masyarakat majemuk. Melalui paradigma Maqasid Syariah, paper ini akan membahas bahwa hukum tentang penistaan harus diperkenalkan kepada masyarakat secara intensif dan masif. Di samping itu, paper ini menekankan kemajemukan agama; itu juga bisa menjadi medium untuk mengkomunikasikan isu-isu penistaan agama.]

Abstract

The local traditional ritual of 1st of Syura in Loka Muksa Sri Aji Joyoboyo Menang Pagu Kediri in East Java, is a tradition that is held in honor of their ancestors, which is inseparable from the figure of Sri Aji Joyoboyo. This tradition remains as proand contrain the community.Data from this research shows that the implementation of the 1st of Syuraritual in LokaMuksa Sri Aji Joyoboyo with a complete procession of offerings, ritual behavior, and certain preconditions, negative reactions from a number of people who cannot accept the syura local traditions. They are originally from the modern NU group, the Muhammadiyah elite, and the Salafi congregation. They are concurrently establishing legitimate truth to their people, hen the activities concerning the 1st of Syura in Loka Muksa Sri Aji Joyoboyo have the potential to become an open conflict, if they were not managed properly.

Abstract

The discourse on religious blasphemy is one that raises a lot of polemics. In the Indonesian context, this does not only occur in the domain of positive law, but also extensively in the domain of Islamic thoughts.The underlying issue of the argument is whether the state has the right to determine that a person or particular group has conducted religious blasphemy, is it not God’s right to enact judgment instead, such kinds of of questions emerge in discussions regarding the matter of who is most eligible and authorized in making legal decisions pertaining to cases of religion. This article specifically attempts to study and trace the roots of the Muslims’ rally movement that occurred on the 4th of November, 2016, particularly through the perspective of Islam and the Philosophy of Pancasila. This study analyzed how the debate on the presumed religious blasphemy that instigated a massive rally a year ago by a group of social organizations and Muslims demanding justice for Ahok’s controversial statement at Seribu Islands had taken place by specifically tracing the roots of the rally movement at the legal, religious, and political levels. This research employs a descriptive-interpretative approach wherein I critically examined how the roots of the rally came to be and what caused the rally to occur by conducting a thorough review through the perspective of Islam and the philosophy of Pancasila.[Wacana tentang penodaan agama merupakan wacana yang banyak menimbulkan polemik. Dalam konteks Indonesia, hal ini tidak hanya terjadi dalam ranah hukum positif, namun secara luas juga dalam ranah pemikiran Islam. Masalah yang menjadi polemik adalah apakah negara berhak memutuskan bahwa seseorang atau kelompok tertentu telah menodai agama, bukankan yang berhak memutuskan hanya Tuhan, pertanyan-pertanyaan semacam ini sering muncul dalam hal perbincangan mengenai masalah siapa yang paling berhak dan memiliki wewenang dalam memutuskan perkara hukum terkait dengan kasus seputar agama. Penelitian ini secara khusus mencoba mengkaji dan menelusuri akar gerakan demonstrasi umat Islam yang terjadi pada 04 November 2016 lalu, khususnya dalam tinjauan Islam dan filsafat Pancasila.Penelitian ini menganalisis tentang bagaimana polemik dugaan penodaan agama yang menimbulkan demonstrasi besar-besaran tahun lalu oleh sekelompok ormas dan umat Islam yang menuntut keadilan atas ungkapan kontroversial Ahok di Kepulauan Seribu, dengan secara khusus menelusuri akar-akar gerakan demonstrasi pada tataran hukum, agama, dan politik. Atas dasar tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan desktiptif-interpretatif. Peneliti membedah secara kritis bagaimana akar demonstrasi tersebut muncul dan apa saja yang memicu terjadinya demonstrasi tersebut, dengan secara cermat melakukan peninjauan dalam perspektif Islam dan filsafat Pancasila.]

Abstract

Badau is a region in Indonesia located in the Regency of Kapuas Hulu, West Kalimantan bordering directly with Malaysia. In the Badau District, there is one luxurious border post (PLBN) used by Indonesian and Malaysian citizens to conduct interstate border crossings. Islam is a minority religion in Badau as the native residents living in Badau are the Dayak Iban tribe who are mostly Catholics and some are Protestants, with Islam being a religion embraced by locals of Melayu descent and some converts from the Dayak Iban as well as new comer ethnic groups such as Javanese, Bugis, Batakese, and others. Dakwah (proselytizing of Islam) does not easily reach Badau, due to the fact that there was no interstate dakwah conducted by ulemas from Malaysia. As a region remotely separated from the provincial capital of West Kalimantan, that is Pontianak, the dakwah efforts in Badau were confronted by numerous obstacles such as a time consuming distance of travel by land transport and very difficult terrains. Although Islam is a minority religion there, tolerance is still maintained and a mutual sense of respect among ethnicities, races, and religions has made Badau into a safe border area.[Badau merupakan wilayah di Indonesia yang terletak di Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu, Kalimantan Barat yang berbatasan langsung dengan Malaysia. Di kecamatan Badau terdapat satu PLBN megah yang digunakan oleh warga Indonesia dan Malaysia untuk melakukan penyeberangan lintas Negara. Islam menjadi Agama minoritas di Badau, karena memang penduduk asli yang tinggal di Badau adalah suku Dayak Iban yang beragamakan Katholik, dan sebagian lagi beragamakan Kristen, dan Islam menjadi Agama yang di peluk oleh masyarakat Asli yang bersuku Melayu dan sebagian mualaf dari bangsa Iban suku Dayak, dan suku-suku pendatang seperti Jawa, bugis, Batak dan sebagainya.. Meskipun terletak di perbatasan tidak membuat Dakwah dengan mudah sampai di Badau, hal ini disebabkan tidak adanya dakwah antar Negara yang dilakukan oleh Ulama-ulama dari Malaysia. Wilayah yang jauh dari jangkauan Ibu Kota Kalimantan Barat, Pontianak, menjadikan Penyiaran Islam di Badau mendapat kendala, karena jarak tempuh darat yang memakan waktu cukup lama dan medan yang masih sulit. Meskipun Islam menjadi Agama minoritas, namun toleransi tetap terjaga, sikap saling menghargai antar etnik,suku, dan agama menjadikan daerah Badau adalah daerah perbatasan yang aman.]

Abstract

  Like an adult, in general a child has several senses of humanity (spiritual, intellectual, physical, and social) that each sense should acquire proper education. This paper discusses the spiritual education should be done by the family for children. The way offered by Khalid Ahmad al-Syantut can be used as a reference for educating the children's spiritual. The aspect of spiritual ideally is placed on the main priority in educating children, as the sense of spiritual has prominent role in strengthening the other senses of humanity. A strong soul will produce positive energy. On the contrary, a weak soul will weaken the whole other senses of humanity.[Anak seperti manusia dewasa pada umumnya memiliki beberapa sisikemanusiaan dalam dirinya (ruhiyah, fikriyah, jasadiyah, dan ijtimaiyyah). Dimana setiap sisiharus mendapatkan pendidikan yang tepat dan benar. Tulisan ini membahas tentang pendidikan ruhiyah bagi anak yangseharusnya dilakukan oleh keluarga.Cara yang ditawarkan oleh Khalid Ahmad al-Syantut bisa dijadikan salah satu rujukan dalam mendidik sisi ruhiyah anak. Aspek ruhiyahidealnya ditempatkan pada prioritas pertama dalam mendidik anak,karena sisi ruhiyah memiliki peran yang sangat sentral dalam menguatkan sisi kemanusian yang lain. Ruh yang kuat akan menebarkan energi positif. Sebaliknya ruh yang lemah akan melemahkan seluruh sisi kemanusian lainnya.]
