Abstract

EnglishThis study describes the pilot project of religious education in the form of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) in Hong Kong. The findings show that Islamic Religious Education in HK has developed both in the form of organizations and Islamic teaching circles (Majelis Taklim). However their roles are considered limited, for they only provide religious education for adults and for children. This situation is due to the lack of competent teachers of Islamic subjects. Islamic Religious Education for children is available at the Consulate General office although the supporting factors are still limited. To boost further development, a stakeholder committee of the madrasah has been formed by taking into account all potentials and opportunities. IndonesiaStudi ini mendeskripsikan rintisan pendidikan keagamaan Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah (MDT) di Hong Kong. Temuan penelitian menunjukan bahwa perkembangan Pendidikan Keagamaan di HK cukup menggembirakan terbukti banyaknya lembaga Pendidikan Keagamaan baik dalam bentuk organisasi maupun Majelis Taklim yang kegiatannya cukup semarak. Namun peranannya dalam pendidikan keagamaan Islam masih terbatas, baik untuk orang dewasa maupun untuk anak-anak. Karena kurangnya tenaga ustadz yang memiliki kompetensi di bidang agama. Walaupun Pendidikan Keagamaan Islam bagi anak-anak telah tersedia di KJRI, namun kondisinya masih terbatas. Oleh karena itu berdasarkan peluang dan potensi yang tersedia, telah disepakati adanya rintisan Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah yang diikuti komitmen (agreement) dengan terbentuknya stackeholder atau tim penyelenggara rintisan Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah di Hong Kong.

Abstract

English This paper is the result of a case study in 2016. The study was overshadowed by the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in Islamic Senior High School (Madrasah Aliyah). It was conducted in several Madrasah Aliyahs in the Province of West Kalimantan. The data and information were collected using qualitative-evaluative study through qualitative and descriptive approach. The study is mainly based on some accounts of various parties involved in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum (K.13), such as the primciples, teachers, supervisors and madrasah committees. The findings of this research indicate that the implementation of K.13 in the provincial office of Ministry of Religious Affairs as the pilot project in 19 MAs is a priority, but the second policy after the issuance of the General Director of Islamic Education Regulation no. 482 Th. 2015 on the peer Madrasah for the implementation of K.13 in the academic year 2014/2015. However, this initiative needs to consider the level of readiness among the MAs in the province due to the unavoidable local obstacles. Indonesia Tulisan ini merupakan hasil studi kasus tahun 2016. Latar belakang dari studi kasus ini adalah adanya persoalan implementasi kurikulum 2013 di Madrasah Aliyah, yang menuntut perbaikan. Studi ini mengambil kasus di beberapa MA di Propinsi Kalimantan Barat. Data dan informasi diperoleh melalui studi kualitatif evaluatif, dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan deskriptif. Hasil studi ini, merupakan penilaian atau pendapat dari berbagai pihak yang terlibat dalam implementasi kurikulum 2013 pada beberapa MA di Propinsi Kalimantan Barat, seperti kepala MA, guru, pengawas, dan komite madrasah.Temuan penelitian ini menyebutkan bahwa kebijakan implementasi K.13 di Wilayah Kementerian Agama Kalimantan Barat, untuk pilot project terhadap 19 MA, adalah prioritas, namun kebijakan kedua setelah diterbitkannya Peraturan Dirjen Pendis Kemenag No. 482 Th. 2015 tentang Penetapan Madrasah Pendampingan K.13, maka Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015 memberlakukan K.13 namun keberadaanya perlu ditopang kesiapan yang matang mengingat dalam implementasi K.13 se Kalbar banyak ditemui kendala.

Abstract

English This paper discusses reading materials on religious topics consumed by the teachers of Islamic Religious Subject (Pendidikan Agama Islam [PAI]) in Senior High School (Sekolah Menengah Atas [SMA]) in Tangerang City, Banten Province. The teachers seem not to take benefit from Religious books as enriching literatures for the teaching of Islamic education materials. To glean the data, the study used questionnaires and interviews. The respondents of the study were 28 teachers of PAI. The study found that there were mainly two titles of the religious literatures commonly used by the teachers: Fiqh Sunnah, by Sayyid Sabiq, was mentioned 10 times, and Fiqh Islam, by Sulaiman Rashid was mentioned seven times. The study disclosed the facts that the teachers have no sufficient literatures on the studies of Qur’an, Hadith, Aqidah, Morals, and History of Islamic Culture. These areas were only mentioned once at average. The issue of “reading interest,” may be “low” in the context of enriching the subject materials, but it was “quite high” when associated with religious knowledge enrichment for everyday life. Indonesia Tulisan ini membahas tema bahan bacaan keagamaan guru mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) SMA di Kota Tangerang Banten. Buku bacaan keagamaan sebagai literatur pengayaan bagi para guru PAI SMA, khususnya di Kota Tangerang Banten tergolong masih sedikit dimanfaatkan. Metode pengumpulan data digunakan angket dan wawancara. Jumlah responden sebanyak 28 orang guru PAI. Dari data yang diperoleh diketahui bahwa buku bacaan keagamaan yang relatif sering disebutkan hanya dua judul, dan keduanya untuk materi pembahasan fikih, yaitu Fiqih Sunnah, karya Sayyid Sabiq, disebutkan 10 kali, dan Fiqih Islam, karya Sulaiman Rasyid disebutkan tujuh kali. Temuan lain adalah minimnya referensi untuk materi-materi Al-Qur’an, Hadis, Akidah, Akhlak, dan Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam (SKI), rata-rata hanya disebutkan satu kali. Persoalan “minat baca”, bisa jadi “minim” dalam konteks memperkaya wawasan untuk menambah materi pembahasan mata pelajaran PAI, tetapi “cukup tinggi” jika dikaitkan dengan penambahan pengetahuan agama untuk kehidupan sehari-hari.

Abstract

English This qualitative study on Outstanding Madrasah with bilingual classes is aimed to reveal how the implementation of Bilingual class programs is conducted at State Primary Madrasah (MIN) I South Tangerang City. The findings indicate that: (a) the implementation of bilingual class program is projected to prepare the generation with foreign language profeciency, (b) bilingual program is supported by collaboration with Cambridge International Institute, the roles of madrasah committee and the support of madrasah headmaster in the quality of education, (c) the inhibiting problem of bilingual class with cooperative model is time consuming and sufficient infrastructure and learning resources, (d) Ministry of Religious Affairs should pay attention to the madrasah facilities that apply a bilingual class program for a better learning process. Indonesia Penelitian Madrasah Berprestasi dengan kelas bilingual bertujuan mengetahui pelaksanaan program kelas Bilingual di MIN I Kota Tangerang Selatan dengan metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (a) penyelenggaraan program kelas bilingual menghasilkan generasi penerus yang berkualitas dan menguasai bahasa asing, (b) faktor pendukung program bilingual adalah adanya jaringan kerjasama dengan Lembaga Cambride International, peranan komite madrasah dan dukungan kepala madrasah terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan, (c) faktor penghambatnya yakni pembelajaran bilingual dengan model kooperatif membutuhkan waktu yang lebih banyak, belum lengkap sarana prasarana dan sumber belajar, (d) Kementerian Agama harus memperhatikan kebutuhan sarana prasarana madrasah penyelenggara program kelas bilingual sehingga dapat menunjang pembelajaran menjadi lebih baik.

Abstract

English In line with this, this research then aimed to evaluate the training programs and whether or not the trainings had effect on the teachers’ pedagogical competence. To collect the data, this study used a questionnaire and a test to measure the pedagogical competence. The questionnaire was distributed to 104 teachers at MORA Training Institute in Palembang. Some findings showed that the implementation of teachers’ training by the committee was in “good” category, but the aspect of curriculum and syllabus was in “not good” category; the trainers’ roles in the learning process was in “very good” category; the teachers’ pedagogical competence before and after the training significantly improved but the indicator of students’ potential development was in less good category. This study suggested that the curriculum designer should improve the quality of curriculum based on teachers’ needs and take into account the students’ potential development for the training materials. Indonesia Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi program diklat guru madrasah dan dampaknya terhadap kompetensi pedagogik guru, menggunakan metode studi kasus terhadap 104 guru pada Balai Diklat Keagamaan Palembang dengan instrumen kuisioner, test pengetahuan pedagogik dan observasi performa pedagogik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi diklat guru dari aspek penyelenggara dinilai baik namun salah satu indikatornya yaitu kualitas kurikulum dan silabus (kursil) dinilai kurang baik; implementasi diklat guru dari aspek widyaiswara dinilai sangat baik; kompetensi pedagogik guru pasca diklat dilihat dari praktik mengajar dinilai baik namun satu indikatornya yaitu pengembangan potensi peserta didik kurang baik dan terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan pedagogik guru pasca diklat seperti yang ditunjukkan pada uji T dari pre dan post test. Direkomendasikan pada para pengembang kurikulum diklat guru untuk meningkatkan kualitas kursil sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru dan memberikan penekanan substansi pengembangan potensi peserta didik dalam diklat-diklat teknis substantif pendidikan.

Abstract

English Text analysis becomes one of many approaches to analyze the dynamics of mother tongue issues whose condition is relatively appalling. Mother tongue (language) is the earliest language acquired by a member of society starting from the cradle of family. Because of its proximity, mother language is close to local language. However, its popularity is less than Bahasa Indonesia and foreign languages. It is reflected on the related texts in media for International Mother Language Day (IMLD). This is descriptive qualitative type of research using criteria-based sampling along with content analysis technique to the related texts of IMLD in the daily printed national newspaper, Kompas. The researcher used Systemic Functional Linguistics to obtain interpersonal: transactional meanings through mood structure analysis from narration, reports, and quotations. Based on the analysis, the study investigated the attitudes presented by participants in the texts to their readers from analysis results of modalization and modulation. This research concluded that the texts were more dominated by language meanings with transaction on information rather than action. This affected on the modes of delivering messages informatively and the orientation of enriching the insights. Indonesia Analisis teks menjadi salah satu pendekatan untuk menemukan dinamika bahasa ibu yang kini dalam kondisi memprihatinkan. Bahasa ibu merupakan bahasa yang paling dekat dan awal diterima masyarakat mulai dari lingkup keluarga. Karena kedekatan itu, bahasa ibu erat kaitannya dengan bahasa daerah. Namun, kepopulerannya kalah dengan bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa asing. Kondisi ini tampak pada teks-teks di media terkait peringatan Hari Bahasa Ibu Internasional (HBII). Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dengan tehnik cuplikan berkriteria serta dikaji dengan tehnik analisis isi terhadap teks-teks terkait HBII pada koran harian cetak nasional, Kompas. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan Linguistik Sistemik Fungsional untuk memperoleh makna interpersonal: transaksional melalui analisis struktur mood pada narasi, pelaporan, dan kutipan. Dari analisis tersebut, dieksplorasi juga sikap yang dihadirkan pelibat teks kepada pembacanya dari hasil analisis modalisasi dan modulasi. Penelitian ini menemukan kesimpulan bahwa teks-teks tersebut didominasi oleh makna bahasa dengan transaksi informasi daripada tindakan. Hal ini berdampak pada penyajiannya yang secara informatif dan berorientasi pada menambah wawasan.

Abstract

English Improving the quality of technical staffs of religious affairs or teachers has been an essential factor in the Human Resources development at the Ministry of Religious Affairs. An effective education and training programs can lead to the positive results that are concomitant with the intended goals. This study aimes to measure the effectiveness of education and training programs for English teachers at Religious Training Center Padang in 2017. It is based on descriptive quantitative method utilizing questionnaire and documentation techniques to collect the data. To analyze the effectiveness of education and training programs, Kirkpatrick’s theory is used to investigate responses, learning and behavior. This study found that the basic training for English Teachers which was by the Religious Training Center of Padang City from 14th up to 26th of September 2017 was conducted effectively at the success rate of 86,87%. Indonesia Peningkatan mutu tenaga teknis keagamaan atau tenaga pendidik menjadi poin penting dalam pengembangan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia Kementerian Agama. Efektivitas dalam pendidikan dan pelatihan adalah suatu kegiatan yang dapat menghasilkan pengaruh yang tepat, akurat, dan sesuai dengan tujuan yang ingin dicapai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pelaksanaan Pendidikan dan pelatihan Guru Mata Pelajaran Bahasa Inggris MTs Tingkat dasar Tahun 2017 di Balai Diklat Keagamaan Padang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui Angket dan Studi Dokumentasi. Pengukuran efektivitas pendidikan dan pelatihan menggunakan metode/teori Kickpatrick yaitu reaksi (reaction) atau tanggapan, pembelajaran (learning) dan prilaku (behavior). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Guru mata pelajaran bahasa Inggris MTs Tingkat Dasar Tahun 2017 yang dilaksanakan di kampus Balai Diklat Keagamaan Padang mulai tanggal 14 sampai dengan 26 September 2017 telah terlaksana dengan kategori efektif dengan persentase keberhasilan efektivitas 86,87%.

Abstract

English The mosque is a center for community development that needs to be well managed. This paper sheds light on the index of and the priority aspects of mosque management in Trenggalek Regency. The research takes benefit of quantitative analysis. Validity and reliability test determined 26 items in the questionnaire. The study involved 100 respondents as sample obtained by random sampling method. The management principles that are analyzed consist of planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The data were processed using excel program. The study showed that: 1) The index of mosque management in Trenggalek Regency was 70,25 at good category; 2) The Overall management principles implemented were at the category of good. Out of the four principles, the actuating principle was at the lowest category of 63.50 although it was still considered good. Therefore, the study suggested the priority of improvement without neglecting the other aspects of management. Indonesia Masjid merupakan sentra pembinaan masyarakat pemeluk Islam sehingga harus dikelola dengan baik. Tulisan ini menggambarkan indeks pengelolaan masjid dan menganalisis aspek prioritas pengelolaan masjid di Kabupaten Trenggalek. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif. Pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas menghasilkan 26 item yang valid dan reliable untuk digunakan sebagai instrumen penelitian. Jumlah sampel yang terlibat dalam penelitian adalah 100 yang didapatkan dengan metode random sampling. Aspek pengelolaan masjid yang dianalisis meliputi perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan pengawasaan. Data yang diperoleh diolah menggunakan excel. Hasil penelitian menyatakan: 1) Indeks pengelolaan masjid di Kabupaten Trenggalek sebesar 70,25 masuk kategori baik; 2) Semua aspek pengelolaan yang diteliti berkategori baik. Dari keempat aspek, pelaksanaan mempunyai point terendah. 3) Aspek pengelolaan masjid terendah adalah pelaksanaan sebesar 63,50 masih masuk kategori baik, sehingga prioritas perbaikan, tanpa mengabaikan aspek lain.

Abstract

English This paper attempts to describe how local wisdom is maintained in the ceremony of Penjaroan Rajab in Sakatunggal Mosque, Cikakak Village. The research was conducted using qualitative method with anthropological and historical approaches. This study is to identify the contestation of local wisdom in community ceremonies of Penjaroan Rajab where values are strongly planted in the community behavior, religious systems and beliefs. It finds that Penjaroan Rajab is a grave visit ritual that is conducted every 26th of the month of Rajab as a symbol of respect to the deceased Kiai Mustholih (the founder of the village). This ritual is marked by the replacement of fences surrounding the graveyard, slametan ngalap berkah (ritual meal to invoke blessing), Islamic sermons, and cultural performances. This ritual preserves the local wisdom of the Cikakak community including sincerity, harmony, religiosity and nationalism that melt people from different places and religions into the color of togetherness. Indonesia Artikel ini berupaya mendeskripsikan kearifan lokal yang ada pada ritual Penjaroan Rajab di Masjid Saka Tunggal Desa Cikakak. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan antropologis dan historis. Penelitian untuk mengidentifikasi kearifan lokal pada ritual Penjaroan Rajab melalui nilai-nilai yang terdapat pada perilaku masyarakat, sistem agama dan kepercayaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Penjaroan Rajab adalah ritual ziarah kubur setiap tanggal 26 Rajab sebagai simbol penghormatan kepada leluhur Kiai Mustholih. Ritual ini ditandai dengan penggantian pagar yang mengelilingi pemakaman, slametan ngalap berkah, pengajian, dan pentas budaya. Ritual ini melestarikan kearifan lokal masyarakat Cikakak meliputi keikhlasan, kerukunan, keberagamaan, dan nasionalisme sebagai elemen perekat lintas warga dan lintas agama yang memberikan warna kebersamaan.
