Abstract

Community Reading Park is a non-formal education as a follow-up to government programs and continuing education in empowering the community through the literacy movement. Community Reading Park is a program to build an educational village from the Indonesian Nahdlatul Ulama University as an implementation of one of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely community service. The method used is active participation, namely; (1) Observation and Planning (3) Implementation of TBM establishment and training of tutors for TBM managers (4) Evaluation (5) Follow-up. The results of the observation found that many children dropped out of school in Candali Village. TBM as a library and alternative education in empowering the community and fostering interest in reading in the Candali Village community. The outcome of the Community Service program is sustainable TBM, continued by local youth who have been equipped with the skills and management to manage TBM. The Unusia Community Service Team is still monitoring the development of TBM through the manager's WhatsApp group.

Abstract

Pengenjek village has the potential for local resources in the form of ijuk from enau trees. Currently, the ijuk produced from this enau tree after drying is directly sold without further processing. The making of ijuk is used as a source of livelihood for the people in Pengenjek Village. The magnitude of this potential can be developed into various products that have a higher selling value. So by seeing this potential, the purpose of this service is to utilize the potential of local resources to become potted plants so that they have a higher selling value. The method used is to provide practical mentoring in the manufacture of products made from ijuk. This mentoring activity for the use of ijuk is carried out for 1 week starting from the preparation of materials to the practice of making them. The target of the activity is a group of women in Pengenjek Village, both adolescents and adults. As a result of this activity, the community's skills in processing ijuk into more useful and higher-value goods increased. It is hoped that with the products produced having a high selling value, the income of the people of Pengenjek Village will increase so that the level of welfare of the community can increase.

Abstract

The MSME population has grown rapidly after the large-scale social restriction policy was enacted. The existence of MSMEs become an alternative economic solution for the community in running the family economy which had been stopped due to the pandemic. However, of the population, only a few survive, and mostly are going bankrupt. This condition is caused by a lack of entrepreneurial concept and the inability to adapt to technological developments. This community service aims to educate one of the MSME actors in Cibokor village through repackaging, rebranding, and digital marketing strategies. This community service lasts for 4 weeks from July 26 - August 26, 2022 with the method used is entrepreneurship assistance to one of the MSME actors, who is engaged in the production of dried banana fritters, which has been running for a long time but has not experienced significant development. As a result of repackaging and rebranding, the product display has now become more attractive and elegant, meanwhile, marketing that previously only relied on conventional marketing strategies has now switched to using digital marketing through the use of social media and marketplaces.

Abstract

After the conflict between the residents of Paropo village and Rama village in 2017, the fears of the two villagers that a similar conflict would still exist. Even though in practice, the recurrence of conflicts did not occur, feelings of worry often arose among the two villagers, especially the village officials (heads of the RT and RW of the two villages). They have made various efforts to overcome these concerns, such as increasing citizen alertness, limiting curfews, and strengthening coordination between government officials. But they feel that it is still not enough. Therefore, what is then considered important to do is to equip them with the ability to manage social conflict between residents. Of course conflict between residents is something that is not expected, but if it occurs, with the provision of conflict management skills, then if the conflict that arises can be resolved immediately, so that it does not have a negative impact that is detrimental to the sustainability of the social life of the people of Paropo village and Rama village.

Abstract

Nuggets are a food that is especially liked by children. Nuggets are used as a side dish or as a snack while relaxing. Based on this, it is very necessary to develop nuggets that are healthier and more delicious. The aim of the PKM activity is to help partners solve their problems related to the management of unsold caught fish and to explain the effectiveness of training on making fish-based nuggets containing probiotics called NuggiPro which has the potential as an innovative entrepreneurial activity in the Gisik Cemandi fishing community, Sidoarjo East Java, as a solution to partner problems. The methods used in this training include (1) gathering participant knowledge information related to the aspects being trained (2) playing a video on the manufacture of NuggiPro, (3) providing information (3) demonstration of the manufacture of NuggiPro by the team, (4) practice of making NuggiPro by the training participants and (5) evaluation of results. The results of this PKM activity include that (1) partners' initial knowledge regarding processing unsold caught fish is still low (2) knowledge and skills in making NuggiPro as a solution to managing unsold fish is still low (3) after knowledge training and the NuggiPro manufacturing skills increased (4) the NuggiPro made by the trainees fulfilled the SOP (5) the participants gave a positive response to the NuggiPro manufacturing training and its potential as an entrepreneurial activity. Based on the results achieved, it can be stated that the PKM activity was successful.

Abstract

The mindset of the people during the coronavirus pandemic began to change, especially in terms of the consumption of food ingredients that can increase immunity, also called functional food ingredients. Biopharmaceutical commodities are resources that can be used and utilized to make processed products in the form of functional food. This is supported by the existence of human resources and the use of simple technology in society. Biopharmaceuticals are all natural resources (plants, animals, microbes) that have functions and properties for health or as medicine. Some of the functions of biopharmaceuticals include preventive (disease prevention); promotive (improving health status); curative (healing disease); improvement of nutritional status. To increase public knowledge about biopharmaceuticals as well as community empowerment efforts in the use of biopharmaceuticals, the Community Empowerment Program (Prodamat) was carried out. This activity was carried out online with a zoom platform which was attended by 21 participants. Participants who took part in the activity came from Magelang, Central Java, and Palasa, Central Sulawesi. At the end of the activity, an evaluation of the participants' knowledge was carried out by filling out a questionnaire on Google Forms. The level of understanding of participants about biopharmaceuticals prior to counseling was an average of 48.02%. After the counseling was carried out, the average level of understanding of the participants was 80.11%. Then the participants' understanding increased by 32.09%. Meanwhile, the level of satisfaction of the participants with the implementation of Prodamat resulted in 7.5% being satisfied, 12.5% ​​being quite satisfied, and 77.5% being very satisfied.

Abstract

The central government launched an independent learning curriculum which will be implemented starting in 2021. There are several school institutions trying to adapt the curriculum that is in force. Many academics, even practitioners socialize this either through seminars, training, coaching and so on. However, implementation does not necessarily go well, socialization activities related to this curriculum seem to be uneven. This causes problems for many schools. These problems include the lack of understanding and the low curiosity of the participants, that is, the trainees tend to be skeptical of the Independent Curriculum. This condition has an impact on the low understanding of educational implementers in designing modules according to the Independent Curriculum. Another problem is the adaptation of the media-based learning process used, so that the need for attention to teaching materials such as modules is very efficiently arranged in the creation of ideas that have been designed and forms effective and efficient media, while in fact there are still many participants who are constrained by this. The purpose of dissemination of coaching through this training is both by providing specific competencies in order to gain understanding and competence for participants, namely school principals and teachers in compiling modules according to the independent curriculum. So, the solution offered is to carry out a scientific design which is disseminated through training and mentoring for education implementing participants in the preparation of the P5 module (Project of Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles) using various creative media ideas.

Abstract

Guncangan pandemi Covid-19 berdampak pada distribusi pendapatan serta pengeluaran rumah tangga,warga keluarahan Pakis Kecamatan Sawahan Surabaya menjadi salah satu yang terdampak. Salah satucara untuk mengatasi permasalahan ekonomi warga Kelurahan Pakis dalam menghadapi pandemi Covid-19 adalah dengan menerapkan urban farming melalui budidaya ikan lele. Budidaya ikan lele sangat cocokditerapkan di Kelurahan Pakis mengingat terbatasnya lahan yang tersedia. Sampai dengan saat ini sudahterdapat beberapa warga dan komunitas warga yang telah melaksanakan budidaya ikan lele di KelurahanPakis. Namun karena Pandemi Covid-19 banyak warga yang merasa kesulitan khususnya dalam haloperasional (kesulitan dalam mencari pakan), sehingga dari total 15 pemilik kolam ikan lele yang ada,sekarang berkurang menjadi hanya 5 pemilik kolam ikan lele saja, oleh karena itu Tim Pengabdian kepadaMasyarakat ingin menyelenggarakan pengembangan urban farming budidaya ikan lele teknologi bioflokkepada warga di Kelurahan Pakis. Kegiatan penerapan sistem bioflok dalam budidaya ikan lele secaraorganik diharapkan mampu mengatasi permasalahan kesulitan pakan lele serta menambah pendapatansehari-hari untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup di tengah pandemi Covid-19. Metode yang digunakan untukpelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah metode pemberdayaan masyarakatpartisipatif dengan model Participatory Rural Apraissal.

Abstract

Ethics in business has become crucial in daily economic activities. However, ethical violations still occur frequently. In principle, ethics comes from our morals as human beings with the basis of thinking what is good and what is not. Ethics is not only needed in business but also professional ethics. This training event aims to provide additional insight into the professional ethics of advocates. The training expects students to learn about business ethics, professional ethics and the consequences if they do not practice ethics. The training is conducted by means of webinars in order to reach a large number of participants. This training concludes that business ethics has a positive impact on the long-term performance of the company.

Abstract

Kematian ibu (AKI) yang tinggi merupakan masalah kesehatan di Indonesia. Morbiditas dan mortalitas terkaitpreeklampsia terjadi pada 5-7% dari seluruh kehamilan dan menyebabkan lebih dari 70.000 kematian ibu dan 500.000janin di seluruh dunia setiap tahunnya. Bidan dan staf merupakan garda terdepan dalam memberikan pelayanankesehatan kepada ibu hamil, sehingga mereka berperan penting dalam pertolongan pertama. Mengetahui danmengetahui pentingnya bidan dan petugas dalam deteksi dini, pencegahan dan penanganan dini preeklampsia menjadidasar konsultasi dengan Puskesmas Kota Makassar dengan harapan dapat menurunkan angka kesakitan dankematian ibu. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini merupakan desain pre-test eksperimen nyata yang menyasar bidan dan kadersebanyak 30 orang di Puskesmas Sudiag Kota Makassar. Tujuan dari konsultasi ini adalah untuk meningkatkanpengetahuan dan keterampilan bidan dalam skrining, pencegahan dan penatalaksanaan dini preeklampsia. Evaluasitingkat pengetahuan bidan dan pegawai dilakukan secara bertahap dengan pemeriksaan pendahuluan, penyampaianmateri dengan penyuluhan dilanjutkan dengan tanya jawab dan diskusi, diakhiri dengan pemeriksaan akhir. Penelitianini mengungkapkan bahwa tingkat pengetahuan sebelum penyuluhan adalah 4,93 dan meningkat secara signifikanmenjadi 8,80 setelah penyuluhan (pandlt;0,05). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan bidan dan petugas tentangskrining, pencegahan dan penanganan dini preeklampsia meningkat. Olahraga teratur dan konseling yang baikdiperlukan untuk meminimalkan risiko dan komplikasi preeklampsia.
