Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increase student motivation in learning science through the implementation of the STAD type cooperative learning model in SMP Negeri 1 Kayangan. The research method used was classroom action research with 28 students as subjects. The research instrument used was an observation sheet. The analysis of the data of this research used descriptive qualitative and qualitative analysis techniques. The result of this study showed that the implementation of the STAD type cooperative learning model in learning science in the material elements, compounds, and mixtures could increase student motivation. It could be indicated by an increase in the percentage of the students’ learning mastery in cycle II in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Kayangan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of cooperative learning approach (CL) type Jigsaw in an effort to improve the activities and learning outcomes Civics Learners class VIII-B SMP Country of 18 Mataram. The benefits of this research are as a study material and findings material in the implementation the actual learning process in the classroom. For teachers to improve competence in the process learning and for learners to increase learning activities that result in increased outcomes learners learn. This research is conducted two cycles, each cycle activity is; planning, execution, observation and reflection. The final result of action in cycle II shows that results teacher observation got average score (4,18) and result of observation of student reach average score (4.22). While the result of increased learning activities of learners is the increase of the results learners achieve average score (87.15), meaning that the success indicator (> 75,00) has been exceeded. Because the success indicator has been proven that the research is successful and stopped in cycle II

Abstract

This study aims to examine the use of technology technique as a learning media and teacher innovation to overcome the problem. By library research, the researcher conducted the relevant literature study to answer the research and explained it descriptively. The results of the study indicate that optimization on the use of instructional media was done by understanding the characteristics of media and learning needs. Technology controller was the teacher, not the teacher depending on technology. Teacher needs innovation when facing the limitations or facing other technical obstacles. Teacher can maximize everything that can be used to deliver learning information, including the use of the environment. So, something real can be presented applicatively.

Abstract

Mastery of concepts is part of the important thinking skills dominated by students to be developed. Mastery of biological concepts held by students is still low. The fact that the mastery of concepts tends to come from teacher questions and student questions in finding answers to teacher questions or through learning models that attract students' attention in learning. This refers to the 2011 TIMSS (The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study) report, showing that the ranking of Indonesian children in science occupies the 42nd position of 45 countries. The TIMSS results show that Indonesian children are still unable to: among others: show some abstract and complex concepts in science. One of the efforts to improve the quality of conceptual mastery is to apply guided inquiry model. This study aims to develop inquiry based learning tools (PPBIT) and analyze its effectiveness in improving the mastery of the concept of biology of SMAN 2 Taliwang-Sumbawa Barat students. PPBIT is implemented with reference to the 4D procedure. to know the effectiveness of PPBIT then conducted quasi experimental research with pretest posttes control group design design. The sample of research is 66 people spread in two classes selected by purposive sampling technique. The results showed that PPBIT was feasible to be used with average feasibility of syllabus 78.71%, RPP 83.5, LKITS 75%, and conception mastering instrument 81.25%, and effective in improving ability mastery of biology concept of students of class X SMAN 2 Taliwang, and waste recycling with an average score of students' mastery skills from 58.82 to 94.09.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the learning by applying peer tutor learning model as an effort to improve the learning outcomes in the linear program of fourth semester students in Mathematics education study program of FKIP UM Mataram. The research method used a class action research. The research population was fourth semester students of Mathematics education study program of FKIP UM Mataram, with as many as four students taken as samples. The instruments of the study were the observation results of the learning implementation and the final test result of students study. Analysis of research data on students test results was obtained from the final test result of the learning cycle. The test was said to succeed if 85% of the total students got a value of ≥ 65. Based on the results of the study, the application of peer tutor learning models could improve learning outcomes with the observation result of lecturers and student learning activities were in good criteria. And, the final test score of cycle I had achieved a classical learning standard with a percentage achievement reached 75%.

Abstract

Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, kebanyakan orang Indonesia cenderung menggunakan lebih dari satu bahasa.Hal ini menunjukkanbahwa masyarakat Indonesia pada dasarnya adalah masyarakat yang bilingual (dwi bahasa) dan multilingual (beragam bahasa). Setiap orang Indonesia pada dasarnya menggunakan lebih dari satu bahasa dalam percakapan sehari-hari. Pada umumnya, bahasa yang digunakan adalah bahasa daerah sebagai bahasa pertama dan bahasa Indonesia (atau bahasa nasional) sebagai bahasa kedua. Dalam beberapa kelompok sosial, bahasa Indonesia digunakan sebagai bahasa pertama sedangkan bahasa daerah sebagai bahasa kedua atau bahasa ketiga. Interaksi sosial dan percampuran bahasa sebab ikatan perkawinan menjadikan fenomena keluarga bilingual dan multilingual semakin berkembang. Perkembangan inidi satu sisi memperkaya khazanah budaya dan bahasa masyarakat Indonesia yang plural. Namun di sisi lain,muncul tantangan-tantangan berartiyang harus dihadapi oleh para orangtua dan anak-anak bilingual dalam memilih dan menggunakan bahasa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) memaparkan pola-pola pemilihan bahasa dan penggunaan bahasa dalam keluarga bilingual khususnya dalam keluarga Jawa-Sasak, Sunda-Sasak, dan Jawa-Bima; 2) menjelaskan aspek-aspek dan implikasi yang berbeda dari pemilihan dan penggunaan bahasa dalam keluarga bilingual; dan 3) memaparkan tantangan-tantanganyang dihadapi oleh orangtua dan anak-anak bilingualdalam memilih dan menggunakan bahasa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the accuracy of lecturer's social competence in learning which includes the ability to express the opinion, the ability to accept criticism of suggestion and opinion of others, to know the students better as learners, easy to get along among the peers, employees and students, tolerance to diversity college student. The research was done by exspost facto with sampling technique using purposive sampling. Collecting and recording the scores of all aspects of lecturer's social competence from various assessors. Then analyzed statistically described the Mean and Standard Deviasinya, estimated with the level of significance (ts) 5% using the formula Mp = Mo ts. , correlated with Product Moment correlation formula is rXY =, calculated its determination with 100% formula. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that (1) Social Competence of lecturer in learning is Very Good; (2) The accuracy of lecturer's social competence in learning is high, with value 0,678 - 0,848, which is estimated at all lecturer UNSA 0,606 - 0,897, with determination value equal to 45,97 - 71,91%. From the conclusion of this analysis also found that still around 2.7 - 9.7 or 3 - 10 assessors declared the social competence of lecturers in learning-not good even very bad ". Similarly found inaccuracy of social competence of lecturers in learning 28.09 - 54.03% spread across all aspects of social competence of lecturers in learning. On the basis of the results of this study is considered necessary efforts to develop the social competence of lecturers through institutional and institutional scientific activities, as well as through the independent creativity of individual lecturers

Abstract

This research aims to compare the loneliness and hope among orphans in the Tanjung Barat orphanage, South Jakarta. The research method used a descriptive qualitative with a case study method. Data collection techniques were interviews, observations, and filling in a simple questionnaire. The sample used 36 children of Tanjung Barat orphanage consisting of elementary school, junior high school and senior high school students. This was done on site and compared to the literature that had been previously established.  Comparing loneliness and hope among orphans aimed to identify and find ways of mapping loneliness and hope among orphans who had been explored and investigated empirically, to find out the comparison and contrast with the mapping of loneliness and hope expressed among them, and to find examples of self-assessment to evaluate and encourage the mapping of their loneliness and expectations among them and present them to caregivers, parents and professionals. By comparing their loneliness and hopes they can actively engage in social interaction between themselves, others, and improve their personal, welfare and life skills.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: to know how big influence on motivation to learn humanisticcounseling on subjects Biology class X grade students of SMAN 1 Lingsar, West Lombok in the academicyear 2016/2017. This type of research, experimental method with quantitative approach. The data collectiontechnique is a method of inquiry as the principal methods and methods of documentation, observation andinterviewing methods/ interview as a complementary method. The statistical analysis used in this research isusing t-test formula. Based on the discussion can be concluded that: there is the influence of humanisticcounseling on motivation to learn in the subjects of biology class X grade students of SMAN 1 Lingsar, WestLombok in the academic year 2016/2017. It can be seen from the results of the study are: t value of 4,131dan ttable value at significance level of 5% with N = 7, is greater than the value t table (4.131> 2.365) so that thereis a relationship that is "significant" between counseling humanistic motivation to learn in the subjects ofbiology class X grade students of SMAN 1 Lingsar, West Lombok in the academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

This study is aimed to analize the influence of entrepreneurial education and family environment on the entrepreneurial interest of students at STKIP PGRI Jombang. The research method used in this research was a quantitative statistical approach. The population consisted of 6 classes with a total of 266 students who were taken by purposive sampling technique randomly so that the sample amounted to 44 students. Validity test and reliability test were used for instrument testing. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires to students at STKIP PGRI Jombang who had taken entrepreneurship courses. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis in the SPSS 20.00 program. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence between the entrepreneurial education variable (X1) and the family environment (X2) on the students’ interest in entrepreneurship (Y).
