Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to determine the basics of the appeal to Mustafa Kemal Attaturk founded the secular state in Turkey, as well as the position of Islam as the secular post-modernization. A number of policies taken by Mustafa Kemal may be said so frontal and radical that invited a number of reactions. Religious consequences of the Kemalist reforms has always been a matter of debate that continues even to this day. Nevertheless secular reforms played a pivotal role in the rise of Islam back in Turkey and spawned a number of students from the class of intellectuals.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to determine the role of Madrasah Chief in developing teacher’s performance, so that the recearch’s centre point was the existence of trust and responsibility held by Madrasah Chief, along with all influencing factors to all teachers’ performance at Madrasah Aliyah of Ma'had Darud Da'wah Wal-Irsyad in Pangkajene, Sidrap Regency. The research used quantitative method, started with collecting data archives and documentaries and followed with an interview. Data collection from the research were then percentaged cumulatively. Then reseacher used questionnaire to get inferrential data from all respondents consisted of teachers. The results showed a quite good teachers’ performance at Madrasah Aliyah of Ma'had Darud Da'wah Wal-Irsyad in Pangkajene. The Madrasah Chief had also showed a good and optimal role to develop more performance. So the results from interview were expected to give a solution to all stakeholder from each departement to develop educational quality in the future. I do hope this research will be a referrence and barometer about teacher’s performance against the role of Madrasah Chief of Madrasah to develop the education level at Madrasah Aliyah of Ma'had Darud Da'wah Wal- Irsyad in Pangkajene Sidrap Regency.

Abstract

Abstract Advances in information technology had been expected to assist in the processing and preparation of information quickly and accurately in order to support the decision-making process. Therefore this study was aimed to determine the implementation of management information systems in decision making at Baranti District Office in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. This research was a descriptive quantitative type, held at Baranti District Office. The population was the entire employees as many as thirty (30) people, and all of them were accounted as sample. Datas were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results showed that the implementation of management information systems in decision making at Baranti District Office in Sidenreng Rappang went well, judging from the data collection was good (63,33%), as well as the classification and processing of the data (70%). While the affecting factors, namely District Head’s leadership was good (50%), poor support facilities (56.66%), and unfavorable human resources (63,34%).

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to determine the improvement of bureaucracy service quality at Watang Pulu District Office in Sidenreng Rappang, along with the influencing factors that. The method used was qualitative descriptive method, that aimed to provide an overview about the efforts to improve the quality of bureaucracy services in governmental support at Watang Pulu District Office in Sidenreng Rappang using a survey approach. The population in this study were all apparatus at Watang Pulu District Office and its people, to conclude 45 people and all of them were accounted as sample. The results obtained from the calculation of factors that affect the service quality were (1) awareness factor was rated 3,06, (2) rules factor was rated 3,02, (3) organizing factor was rated 2,68, (4) ability factor was rated 3,08, and (5) service facilities was rated 2,66. These results concluded the improvement of bureaucracy service quality at Watang Pulu District Office in Sidenreng Rappang was in good category at a rate of 2,9.

Abstract

Abstract This research was aimed to determine The Parliament’s supervising function effectivity on the performance of Pare-Pare City Local Government, along with all influencing factors. The study was a type of descriptive-qualitative. Data were collected by using observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Then those data were analyzed using frequency tables and percentages. The results showed that The Parliament’s supervising function effectivity on the performance of Pare-Pare City Local Government had not yet optimally achieved, meaning that Pare-Pare legislators had not yet a high sense of responsibility in carrying out their role and function, and the discipline level of board members, as well as an understanding of duties and authority, also the rights and obligations of Pare-Pare legislators. However, in majority the education level of Parliament Parepare was quite adequate at bachelor level, and also had a fairly young age. Basically there were two main influencing factors against the ability of Pare-Pare legislators in order to increase supervising function effectively. The internal factors concluded the human resources of board members, facilities and infrastructure availability, leaders’ policy, and each Pare-Pare legislators’ attitudes. While external factors concluded carrying capacity of other institutions, political parties, the electoral system through national election and community organizations such as NGOs and the press.

Abstract

Abstract This research was a type of descriptive-quantitative and qualitative to provide an overall comprehensive picture of the studied object, which was the role of village government in suppressing early marriage in Tiroang village. The samples used were saturated samples, the entire population was taken as a sample, especially when the population size was relatively small of eighty-five (85) people, and by using instruments such as questionnaires and interviews. The results showed that the role of village government in suppressing early marriage in Tiroang village was instrumental, to name a form of active counseling (63,53%), and active guidance (52,94%). As for the highly influencing factors were education (50,59%), the community (50,59%), and the cultural factor (60%).

Abstract

Abstract The concept of public service had been at all times subjected to change in accordance with public perception. Providing excellent service was important to be the government’s goal. Excellent service in general could be realized if the quality of public services were also good. This should be specifically recognized by the government of Panca Rijang District in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. Community’s satisfaction was one indicator to acknowledge the quality of public services. The purpose of this study was to determine how public relations services related to the government bureaucracy in Panca Rijang District. This study uses a basic survey research using quantitative-descriptive research type. The sample in this study amounted to 50 people. The data were collected through questionnaires, observations, field interviews, and library research. The results of this study indicated that the public service in Panca Rijang District had a good tangibility at a rate of 68%, responsiveness was good at 64%, reliability was good at 74%, assurance was not appropriate at 66%, and empathy was very friendly at 48%. While from bureaucracy point of view, namely the division of labor was unfair at 62% rate, discipline and supervision wasn’t good at 66%, systematic regulation was good at 70%, position hierarchy was good at 50%, officials tied to a single formal assignment was disagreed by 70%, technical terms was strongly agreed by 68%, and position as a career was strongly agreed by 58%. The influencing factors such as education was good at 56%, working experience was unfavorable at 58%, and infrastructure was also unfavorable at 60%.

Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the role of sub-district head in coordinating the development and improvement along with the influencing factors about development improvement at Tiroang District in Pinrang Regency. The population took 31 persons, consisted of 21 Tiroang District Office employees, the head of five (5) villages, and another five from the chairman of the village social institutions (EHS). The whole population were taken as samples, and as an informant was the secretary of Tiroang District. Data collection methods used were observation, questionnaires, interviews, and technical literature. The collected data was then analyzed by means of qualitative analysis techniques with a table percentage. The results showed that the role of district head as coordinator in improving the development of three sub-indicators were rated very well with a score of 3,40. Whereas the influencing factors, namely district head’s capability were rated very well with a score of 3,32, responsibility factor was also rated very well with 3,65, participation factor was rated 3,16, and finally excellent cooperation at 3,35 score.

Abstract

Abstract This research aimed to determine the role of Village Consultative Corporation (what we call BPD) on the implementation of village autonomy in Allakuang Village along with all influencing factors. This research was a descriptive type using a case study approach, held in Allakuang Village at Maritengngae District of Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The population was 704 heads of family and 70 samples. Datas were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaire with BPD members and community of Allakuang Village. The results showed that the role of Village Consultative Corporation on the implementation of village autonomy in Allakuang Village was not run optimally. From the legislative function, the role was rated good at 75,71%, a very good representation of 80%, and a good 61,42% rate in functions control. The influencing factors were the poor education at 47,14%, unfavorable experience at 50%, and an adequate infrastructure at 61,42%.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Secretariat District Office of Sidenreng Rappang Regency, arguing several interesting phenomenons to study, primarily in terms of leadership style. The goals of this research was to provide an overview of the relationship between leadership style and organizational climate at Secretariat District Office of Sidenreng Rappang Regency, along with the influencing factors. Data collection methods used in this research were (1) Observation, (2) Interview , (3) Questionnaire, and (4) Library research. The collected data was analyzed using frequency tables and percentages. The population in this research took 158 people, and 32 of them accounted as samples. The results showed that relationship between leadership style and organizational climate at Secretariat District Office of Sidenreng Rappang Regency was good, consisting directive, consultative, and participatory, which gained 80%.
