Abstract

This paper investigates the impact of peer pre-trusted probability on the performance of Eigen's trust and reputation model in distributed wireless networks. Design and develop models for rigorous Eigen Trust assessment and reputation models. In addition, we evaluate our model from performance-based factors namely: accuracy, resource utilization and energy consumption. Finally, the results obtained from our investigation are suggestive of implementation for real-time distributed wireless applications. our proposal.

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a server structure proposal and automatic performance verification technology which proposes and verifies an appropriate server structure on Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) cloud with bare metal servers, container based virtual servers and virtual machines. Recently, cloud services have been progressed and providers provide not only virtual machines but also new metal servers and container based virtual servers. However, users need to design an appropriate server structure for their requirements based on 3 types quantitative performances and users need much technical knowledge to optimize their system performances. Therefore, we study a technology which satisfies users' performance requirements on these 3 types IaaS cloud. Firstly, we measure performances of a bare metal server, Docker containers, KVM (Kernel based Virtual Machine) virtual machines on OpenStack with virtual server number changing. Secondly, we propose a server structure proposal technology based on the measured quantitative data. A server structure proposal technology receives an abstract template of OpenStack Heat and function / performance requirements and then creates a concrete template with server specification information. Thirdly, we propose an automatic performance verification technology which executes necessary performance tests automatically on provisioned user environments according to the template.

Abstract

In this work, we mainly apply the cloud infrastructure (IaaS) and virtualization technology to provide the construction services of a green energy management system. First of all, we used MySQL Cluster database technology to build a data storage system which can solve the challenge of large demand. Digital electricity meter data and environmental information are collected efficiently and quickly in the proposed green energy management system. Next, a virtualized user-interface is provided by graphical presentation to facilitate data analysis. Finally, we control the electricity equipment to reduce Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and the overall power consumption target-based on this virtualized user-interface of the data analysis.

Abstract

This paper presents the research study which explores the variables influencing the learning effectiveness of the students taking an online introductory information technology course in cyber education in a bilingual higher education institution in Hong Kong. These variables are: (1) student's English proficiency, (2) instructor's guidance in an online discussion forum and (3) peer students' collaboration in an online discussion forum. Correlation analysis was adopted to identify whether any of these variables could be potential factors on the students 'learning performance while multiple regression analysis was performed to explore the combined effect of these variables on the students' learning performance. Validity and reliability of this research study are highlighted in this paper. Finally, the research findings are discussed.

Abstract

Online social network is one of the biggest phenomenon of the Internet, which has attracted many marketers and psychologists to understand social network users' behavior. Recognizing lack of theoretical and empirical attention has been given to this field especially in Vietnam market, this study is conducted to examine the relationships among social benefits, online social network dependency, satisfaction and youth's habit formation in the context of Facebook. The findings of the study of 200 Facebook users indicate that the interrelationship among four factors of social benefits, online social network dependency, satisfaction and habit formation are affected each other. Indeed, online social network dependency among the youth whose age range from 16 to 24 years old is significantly affected by social benefits factor and also lead to the formation of habit. In addition, satisfaction plays a role in determining the habitual use of Facebook. This paper contains a discussion of theoretical and practical implication in marketing and psychology field.
