PASCA: Jurnal Teologi dan Pendidikan Agama Kristen
PASCA is a journal published periodically by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) of the Indonesian Baptist Theological Institute (STBI) Semarang. Published regularly twice in one year, in May and November. This journal holds scientific work and research results in theological studies and Christian religious education with the scope of: Theology Old and New Testament Studies, Missiology and Contextualization, Religious Studies, Christian Education. Only manuscripts that are deemed worthy of publication will be published. The eligibility of the paper follows the guidelines and provisions contained in the Author Guidelines.

<![CDATA[This research discusses the rationale for the emergence of Christ's limitation theory, accompanied by biblical arguments, which reject the existence of the theory and criticize it from various expert opinions. The Christ limitationtheory is a theory that denies the existence of Christ who is true God and true man. Although both the divine and the human nature of Christ are the crucial points of the theory, the skepticism of his divinity is more prominent and problematic. This paper is done with a qualitative approach, using literature sources from a number of literatures. After being tested theoretically, this research draws the conclusion that the theory of the limitation of Christ has no theological and biblical foundation so it must be rejected.]]>

<![CDATA[Tulisan ini membahas tentang munculnya ancaman yang serius dari praktik Politik Identitas di Indonesia. Sebagai bangsa yang besar, Indonesia adalah bangsa yang heterogen secara agama dan etnisitas, sehingga munculnya Politik Identitas tidak bisa dihindari. Demokrasi yang dibangun berdasarkan semangat persatuan dan kesatuan bangsa, terancam rusak dan hancur oleh karena nafsu politik yang jahat. Ancaman tersebut kemudian direspon dengan Teologi Multikultural, berupa formula teologis untuk mendasari sikap Kristen dalam relasinya dengan sesama yang berbeda religi dan etnik. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan di dalam artikel ini. Metode studi literatur dipakai dalam mengumpulkan data-data yang terkait dengan tren Politik Identitas dan Teologi Multikultural. Hadirnya Teologi Multikultural di dalam dunia politik di Indonesia, akan menciptakan proses berpolitik yang sehat dan bermartabat, dengan saling menghargai sesama apapun latar belakangnya.]]>

<![CDATA[The implementation of education which refers to the juridical foundation set by the government has an impact on the sustainability of theological andChristian colleges in their communitarians because of the consideration of theological studies according to their scientific learning outcomes. the fundamental problem to be researched is how the creation story at the beginning of the bible provides a perspective on the educational system which is understood as a theological study. This study aims to enrich the understanding of the education system based on theological and juridical studies as an educational reference for mutual realization between the two. The author uses the narrative and structural analysis method with a lexical observation approach to the structure and narrative of the text of Genesis1: 1-31 to conclude that theological and juridical studies are not contradictory but complement each other in the actualization of educationby humans with a loving attitude lev?vk? or “heart”, n?fšek? or “soul” and me'?d?k? or his power to love his Creator.]]>

<![CDATA[This article uses a literature study method that discusses the problems ofpostmodern sexual morality from the perspective of 1 Cor. 6:12-20. The corruption of secual morality from the life of the Corinthians, which is amoral and arbitrary, still occurs until this postmodern era, such as prostitution, inces (sexual relations with siblings), and homosexuality. This article aims to see the extent to which morality is a reference or value in people’s lives in the postmodern era. Hermeneutics becomes a method of study ini 1 Coronthians 6:12-20. The choice of the text 1 Cor. 6:12-20,because the text discusses in principle how sexual morality is biblical. Theresults of this research indicate that morality is a reference or value of life forsociety, including believes, so this research is expected to become a foundation for a new morality in the postmodern era.]]>

<![CDATA[Many scholars and lay people try to figure out the reasons why the Lord JesusChrist uses the title of the son of man to designate Himself. He uses the title ofthe son of man throughout the Gospels, but there are some incidents only appear outside of the Gospels. This appearance is impressing to find out the reasons why the term occurrences in the Gospel. However, the term also appears in few passages outside the Gospels. Therefore, using the method of critical analysis through the library research as the qualitative methodology in order to seek the development of the argument from beginning up today and to see how the New Testament scholars clear up the message of Jesus in using that title. Few scholars comment that term has significant for the Christological development of the New Testament due to the messianic proclamation as thesaviour of the world. Furthermore, the idea of representative between man andGod apparently introduces the idea of the high priest in the New Testamentwriting for Jesus’ Christology. This idea will bring the consumption for BiblicalTheology when scholars seek this terminology in the New Testament writing.]]>

<![CDATA[The Bible contains thousands of names in it. Every name presented in the Bible is almost always attached to the message and the meaning behind it. The onomastics biblical study is a linguistic study of the names in the Bible. The method used in this study is a comparative historical linguistic approach to the names in the New Testament text. The study in this article discovers various approaches by the original New Testament authors in reducing personal names in it, namely: transliteration, translation, absorption - Hellenization, giving epithet or cognomen, equivalence, and the usage of nickname or hypocoristic. The findings in this article are useful as references in various discourses related to personal names in the Bible, especially for the Sacred Name Movement group and its variants.]]>

<![CDATA[Multicultural theology is a theology that is built from a wealth of cultural background and contextualization of wealth for people's way of life. Thus, this theology is broad in the horizon but narrow in implementation because it is very dependent on the context in which it is located. This book explains five important aspects of building a multicultural theology namely relational, social, operational, moral, and transformational. The main problem in this theology is its position which is at odds with the understanding of pluralism, does not stand on inclusivism and exclusivity, and has a theological path that is not the same as contextualization.]]>

This research aims to understand the effect of Christian Religious Education course to christian students’ understanding on biblical soteriology. The research uses quantitative approach with one group pretest postest method. Population inthis research is 41 Christian Bachelor’s program students of 2019 takingChristian Religious Education course at Faculty of Engineering of SebelasMaret University (UNS). <![CDATA[Tulisan ini merupakan analisis teologis terhadap baptisan air dan hubungan keterkaitanya dengan keselamatan. Sebagaimana kita saksikan bahwa semua pendeta atau hamba Tuhan mengajarkan dan mengharuskan setiap warga jemaat atau orang yang masuk dalam iman Kristen untuk mereka menyerahkan dirinya dalam baptisan air, dimana keharusan ini sering tidak disertai dengan penjelasan yang sesuai mengapa harus dilaksanakan jika tidak ada hubunganya dengan keselamatan, sehingga tidak sedikit mereka yang dibaptis tanpa memahami apa hubungan baptisan airnya dengan keselamatan yang ia peroleh. Adapun metode yang penulis gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dimana data data yang diperoleh dalam bentuk penjelasan konsep atau teks dan bukan angka. Lewat analisa berbagai teks Perjanjian Baru yang berkaitan tentang baptisan air, maka akhirnya penulis menyimpulkan bahwa baptisan air tidak mengakibatkan keselamatan secarang langsung, tetapi secara teologis dan makna spiritualnya baptisan air memiliki implikasi teologis terhadap keselamatan sebab baptisan air menuntun seseorang pada penerimaan janji Allah, kesatuan dengan Kristus dan perpalingan yang sungguh-sungguh kepada Kristus, dimana pada hakekatnya aspek ini merupakan kenyataan keselamatan seorang yang percaya atau beriman.]]>
