Abstract

The objective of this research was to analyze the effect of learning motivation on learning outcomes, the influence of learning discipline on learning outcomes, and the influence of motivation and learning discipline on learning outcomes during online learning. This research was a quantitative research with ex post facto method. The population of this research amounted to 136 students. The sampling technique used was probability sampling using a simple random sampling technique with the outcomes of 58 students. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire to collect data on student answers and documentation in order to obtain data on learning outcomes. The data analysis techniques used was multiple linear regression test. The outcomes of this research indicated that there was an influence between learning motivation on learning outcomes of 62.7%, learning discipline on learning outcomes of 37.3%, and simultaneously learning motivation and learning discipline on mathematics learning outcomes of 65.6%. The conclusion of this study shows that there is an influence between learning motivation and learning outcomes, learning discipline and learning outcomes as well as learning motivation and learning discipline on mathematics learning outcomes in fourth grade students.Kewords: motivation, discipline, learning outcomes, mathematics for elementary schoolDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v3i1.23043

Abstract

This research was motivated by the phenomenon that the learning readiness of the fifth grade students of public elementary schools in the Raden Intan cluster was low. The research aimed to determine the influence of learning motivation and parents’ attention on students’ learning readiness. In this research the writer used ex-post facto research. The population of this research consisted 132 students with a sample 56 students who was taken by using probability sampling techniques, namely proportionate stratified random sampling. The data collecting techniques used in this research were observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis used simple linear regression formula and multiple linear regression. The results showed a positive and significant influence of learning motivation and parents’ attention toward students’ learning readiness at the fifth grade of elementary school.

Abstract

DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v3i1.23234

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine student profiles and the percentage of student achievement motivation in a blended learning-based learning system in the industrial era 4.0. The sampling technique used was stratified random sampling with cluster sampling. Total sample: 120 participants (30 x 4 classes = 120). From the data analysis, it can be seen that achievement motivation data results include, 33% of students have very high motivation, 38% high motivation, 17% moderate motivation, 8% less motivation, and 4% very low motivation. Overall student motivation in digital-based learning systems is very good, it can be seen from the results of data analysis that has been carried out, learning systems that can provoke interest in learning are very influential on increasing motivation, and conversely high motivation will be able to form a personality that is ready in various situations. no exception to the adaptation of the learning system that continues to grow. Keywords: Achievement Motivation, Learning System, Blended LearningDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v3i1.23269

Abstract

Seen as a bittersweet gift to the world today, especially in developing countries, globalization has had both positive and negative impacts on Africans, and especially on the people of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Social, political and economic development are the first sectors of the country’ structural changes most affected by the latter in several aspects. Despite the resources of Congo have played an important role in globalization around the world; more so in the world outside Congo. Through the death of millions of people, socioeconomic and psychological challenges, the Congolese people have had to pay a very high price simply to sustain globalization. While expected to help address these challenges, education and gender in the Congo have struggled to face the repeated challenges of globalization effects. This study aims to explore how globalization affects the quality of education and gender when a country is constantly under the challenges of war, political and economic crises, and what is being done about it.  Qualitative analysis and documentary research method have been used for data collection and desk review. Adjustment programs suggested by external have showed that the globalization has affected women and men development differentially, with a larger costs assumed by women. Yet girls still suffer significant deprivations and inequalities, many of which result from the persistent gender discrimination faced by girls and women everywhere. To cope with this, reform measures continue to be adopted with a view to economic recovery, with special focus on open education for all by improving access, equality and equity, job creation and reducing poverty in order to improve the living conditions of each. Keywords: Globalization, Education, Gender.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v3i1.23268

Abstract

This study aims to reveal : (1) the effect of PBL on the motivation to learn; (2) the effect of STM on the motivation to learn; (3) differences on the motivation to learn between the group taught using PBL model and that taught using STM. This study was a quasi experiment with the nonequivalent comparison-group design. The data analysis used T-test and Univariate Analysis of Variance at the significance level of 5%. The results are as follows: (1) PBL improved positively and significantly on the motivation to learn; (2) STM improved positively and significantly on the motivation to learn; (3) there is a significant and positive difference on the motivation to learn between the group taught using PBL model and that taught using STM modelKeywords: Problem-Based Learning, Science Technology and Society, Motivation to LearnDOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jiip.v3i1.22277
