Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of the Group Investigation model on students’ learning outcomes in the subject of Indonesian History to students in class XI IPS in SMAN 5 Padang in the ability to understand causality in historical events. This type of research is quantitative with the experimental method. Data obtained from the learning outcomes of students of class XI IPS SMAN 5 Padang. The study population consisted of 3 classes, the selection of samples was taken based on cluster sampling. The hypothesis proposed was there is an influence of students’ learning outcomes by using the Group Investigation model on students' abilities about understanding cause-effect in historical events. The data analysis technique is done by normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was an influence of the Group Investigation model on students’ learning outcomes in Indonesian History subjects in class XI IPS at SMAN 5 Padang. After pretest and posttest, there were differences in mean values. The average value of the experimental class pretest was 6.62 and the control class was 4,074. The average value of the experimental class posttest was 7,629 and the control class was 5,074. Analysis of the normality test showed that the two samples were normally distributed, namely Lhit <L. tab, experimental class was 0.786 and control class was 0.819 with L. tab was 0.886. The sample homogeneity test results have a homogeneous variant, namely F.hit 1.3 <1.7. The results of the t test show Thit> Ttab which is 6.8166> 2.0555 so that H1 can be stated and H0 is rejected. Based on the results of the study that there is an influence of the Group Investigation model on students’ learning outcomes in Indonesian History subjects in class XI IPS SMAN 5 Padang.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low interest of students’ learning in history subject, which was 38.73%. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementing of the Quantum Teaching model in order to increase students' learning interest in history subject. This type of research is classroom action research. The subject of this research was students of class X IPS 2. The technique of collecting data and instrument research is to use observation techniques using observation sheets of students’ learning interest. This study consisted of 2 cycles where there were 2 meetings in each cycle. The data analysis technique in this study uses percentage analysis techniques which then the results of the data are given meaning. The results of this study indicate that the Quantum Teaching model can increase students’ learning interest where in each cycle there is an increase in students’ learning activities from 38.73% in the initial observation to 66.97% in the first cycle and increase 85.96% in the second cycle. The increase occurred in each indicator of learning interest both on indicators of interest, involvement, feelings of pleasure and interest in learning history. Because of increasing the percentage in learning of each aspects of learning activities in each cycle, this research was stopped in the second cycle. It was stated that the Quantum Teaching model could increase students' interest in learning history subject.

Abstract

This research was motivated by a lack of students' understanding in history subject, especially on cause-effect point. It was evidenced by the students’ learning outcomes in Indonesian History subjects that are still under the KKM (77). This is because the teacher is still dominant using conventional learning models. For this reason, we need a learning model that can improve students' understanding on cause-effect material. The solution offered is the cooperative learning model of the Students’ Team Achievement Division. This study aims to see the effect of implementing the Student Team Achievement Division learning model on the ability of students to understand cause-effect material in history subject. This type of research is quantitative research with experimental methods. The population of this study were students of class XI IPS SMAN 3 Pariaman, in number to 150 people. The samples obtained were the XI IPS 2 class as the experimental class and XI IPS 3 as the control class totaling of 60 people. It obtained through random sampling techniques. Data collecting is done by giving pretest and posttest by using objective questions as many as 40 items. Data analysis was performed using the normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. After these two tests were carried out on the two sample classes, there were the pretest and posttest which have differences in the mean values. The average value of the experimental class pretest was 8.54 and the control class was 7.37. The average value of the experimental class posttest was 10.54 and the control class was 8.20. Analysis of the normality test showed that both samples are normally distributed, where Lhit <Ltab in the experimental class was 0.833 and the control class was 0.840 with Ltab was 0.886. The homogeneity test results showed the sample has a homogeneous variant where Fhit <Ftab was 1.374 <1.713. The results of the t test showed Thit> Ttab which was 3.163> 2.068, so that it can be declared H0 accepted while H1 is rejected. Thus, it can be concluded that there is the influences of the use of the cooperative learning model of the Students’ Team Achievement Division on the results of history subject of Indonesian History to students in class XI of SMAN 3 Pariaman.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the phenomenon of the succeed of the group in Nagari Lunang Barat, Pesisir Selatan Regency. This evidence by the high attendance list and it has been seen also by the achievements which obtained. Researchers suspect that the causes of this can be seen from the amount of people who are participated and have a motivation possessed by women who are active in PKK organization. The purpose of this study is to describe PKK in enhancing women's empowerment in Nagari Lunang Barat, Pesisir Selatan district with the relation to 1) Pancasila’s implementation and practice guidelines, 2) mutual cooperation, and 3) cooperatives. The method used in this study is descriptive with quantitative approaches. The sample in this study was taken as 50% of the total population of 25 women in Nagari Lunang Barat, Pesisir Selatan district. The sampling technique is a random sampling. It is namely as the method of selecting the sample applied to the population that is based on a particular area. The technique of collecting data by using a questionnaire. While the data analysis techniqueuses of the percentage formula. From the results of the study, the researcher found that the associations related to the guidelines for the implementation and practice of Pancasila, mutual cooperation, and cooperatives are categorized as good. Based on theresults of thestudy, itis recommended that women continue to be able to maintain and increase their activity and to the management of the group to continue to be able to motivate women in learning, so that the abilities and positive attitudes of the women’s generation.

Abstract

This research was motivated because of the revisions in the 2013 curriculum, which was one of in the assessment of learning outcomes. In order to improve students' thinking skills, the ability to think higher (HOTS) are needded. Based on the results of observations in the field in making test instruments for Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) in the Indonesian history subjects teachers still experience obstacles in making them, so that there is a lack of instruments that can evaluate and measure students' abilities. This study aims to develop appropriate and practical test instruments Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) used by teachers and students in the assessment of learning outcomes. This research is a method of research and development, using the ADDIE model which consists of 5 stages, namely analysis, planning, development, implementation and evaluation. Because of the limited time researchers only reach the implementation stage. The subjects of this study were tested for validity and practicality based on evaluations from evaluation experts, history subject’s teachers and students using questionnaires to assess the appropriateness and practicality of the instrument. The results of the study show that the feasibility of the test instruments for Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) is based on the evaluation of expert evaluations was 4.04, indicating that it is very feasible to use. As for the practicality testing by teachers and students, the average score was 3.87 and 4.10 showed that the test instruments of the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) were practically used.

Abstract

The research was distributed by implementation of training practices attended by trainess at UPTD Balai Latihan Kerja. The purpose of this research to know : (1) description of implementation of culinary training in opening activities, (2) description of implementation of culinary training in the main activities, (3) description of implementation of culinary training in closing activities. This study uses a quantitative approach with a descriptive type. This research was carried at UPTD Balai Latihan Kerja Kabupaten Sjijunjung. The population in this study were 20 people, the entire population in this study became respondents. Techniques with data collection tools are using questionnaires and analysis of percentage calculation data. The results of this study indicate that (1) implementation of cooking practies in the opening activities is good, (2) implementation of cooking practies in the main activities is good,(3) implementation of cooking practies in the closing activities is good. The conclusion of this study is that the implementation of culinary practices has been good. Suggestions for this study training participants to be able to increase knowledge, skills and instructors are able to deliver material to tarinees.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the good implementation of Sociology learning. This was presumably because of cooperative learning approaches used in learning. This study aimed to: (1) describe the implementation of the initial activities in Sociology learning through a cooperative learning approach, (2) describe the implementation of core activities in Sociology learning through cooperative learning approaches, and (3) describe the implementation of evaluations in Sociology learning through cooperative learning approaches. This research includes descriptive quantitative research. The populations in this study were 30 people. The sampling technique was simple random sampling with the sample of 20 people. The technique and data collection were questionnaires with statement questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used percentages. The results show that: (1) the implementation of the initial activities in Sociology learning through cooperative learning approach is good, (2) the implementation of core activities in Sociology learning through cooperative learning approach is good, and (3) the implementation of initial activities in Sociology learning through cooperative approach learning is good. The suggestion of this study is to tutor Package C Sociology subject in order to further improve the implementation of sociology learning with cooperative learning approaches so as to further enhance the learning spirit and learning outcomes of the citizens.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the effect of using interactive course lab teaching materials on students' ability to understand concepts in historysubject. The problem of this study is the low level of students' knowledge of the concept material which is indicated by the low learning outcomes of IPS X grade students of high school in Padang Panjang are still many under the KKM (75). The teacher still does not use interactive teaching materials in learning. For this reason, we need an interactive teaching material that has not been used in Padang Panjang High School which is expected to improve learning outcomes. In connection with that Alvani Maizal Asri (2018) has made an interactive teaching material in his research entitled "Development of interactive teaching materials using the course lab application on Indonesian History subjects. The solutions offered in this study introduce the use of interactive teaching materials in historical learning and also as a follow-up to Alvani Maizal Asri's research to continue the next phase of Development. This type of research is experimental research. The population of this study was class X IPS with a sample of 181 people taken by random sampling. Data retrieval is done by pretest and posttest by using multiple choice questions as many as 40 questions. Data analysis using normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis test (t test) and effectiveness test. The findings of the study at SMAN 1 Padang Panjang showed the average value of the difference between the experimental class students' learning outcomes 11,14 and SD 2,75 while the average difference in learning outcomes of the control class students was 10.14 with SD 2.25. Analysis of the normality test showed that the two samples were normally distributed, namely Lhit <Ltab which was 0.814 <0.886. The omogenicity test results show that the smapel has a homogeneous variant, the Fhit was 1.58 <Ftab was 1.701. The results of the t test show Thit 3.96> Ttab 2.05 so that it can be stated H1 is accepted H0 is rejected. While the results of research at SMAN 2 Padang Panjang showed the average value of the difference in learning outcomes of experimental class 12 students with SD 3.03 while the average difference in learning outcomes of control class students was 10.7 with SD 2.54. Analysis of the normality test showed that the two samples were normally distributed, namely Lhit <Ltab which was 0.821 <0.886. The omogenicity test results showed that the sample had a homogeneous variant, namely Fhit 1.58 <Ftab 1.69. The results of the t test show Thit 2.197> Ttab 2.03 so that it can be declared H1 accepted H0 rejected The results of the study show that there is an influence of the use of interactive teaching materials on the results of history learning of high school students in Padang Panjang. This interactive teaching material is effective to use because the average N-gain value at SMAN 1 Padang Panjang is 0.42 with moderate criteria, as well as in SMAN 2 Padang Panjang, the average N-gain value is 0.33 with the medium category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of the learning methods of group discussion in the purpose of this study is to find out how to increase participation and learning outcomes in learning Integrated Social Sciences discussion methods in class VIII.3 in SMP 19 Padang. The results of data analysis show that learning group discussion models can increase student activity. Students have the courage to ask questions, communicate, answer questions from teachers, friends or other groups and dare to defend their opinions when discussing. Increased participation and Integrated Social Studies learning outcomes can be seen from the acquisition of student scores before being given action, which is an average of 74, to 78 in cycle I. Achievement of material completeness before the action was 8 students (26.67%), increasing to 12 students ( 40%) in cycle I. In the second cycle the average value increased to 83.77 and students who had achieved completeness 23 students (76.67%) at the end of the cycle test the average score of students became 87.1 students who had achieved completeness 26 students (86.67 %). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning method of Group Discussion is able to increase student participation in class VIII. 3 at SMP N 19 Padang, because learning using the Group Discussion method can create an active, innovative, creative and enjoyable learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the education activities based on the universe by referring to free education, applying the nature of the natural course at Sekolah Alam Bengawan Solo to form the character of students who are capable and high-fidelity student. The researcher interviewed the founder of Sekolah Alam Bengawan Solo (SABS), several teachers and students about how the role of SABS for the education of the surrounding community. In addition, researchers also used methods of observation, documentation and literature review. Writing data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. From the results of interviews, the researchers found that the Sekolah Alam Bengawan Solo is a non-formal education which is an alternative choice of education for the lower middle class because it is economically accessible and in SABS applying finnish education that frees children to learn in nature according to their hearts through exploring around the world so the character of leadership and entrepreneurship will grow naturally. Based on the results of the research and discussion, it was concluded that SABS is a form of educational problem solution in Indonesia which has high environmental knowledge. Thus, universe learning is a free and independent thing.
