Even the socio-economic paradigm of the country, which is located between India and China, is the National Happiness Index (GNH) which emphasizing on balance between material and spiritual achievements. There are 33 indicators of happiness which are divided into 9 main aspects of value ranging from psychology, health, time use, education, culture, governance, community creative power, ecological awareness and diversity, and living standards. Sirnabaya and Purwawinangun villages are located in the Gunungjati area, Cirebon Regency, which is an area with a strong tradition. One of them is the Nadran tradition which is carried out as a form of community gratitude for the produce of the earth and the sea. However, the two villages are known for their brutal fighting conflicts. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between traditional values ??and the level of conflict control. The research was conducted with quantitative supported by qualitative methods. The research instrument was a questionnaire to collect data from 40 respondents. In-depth interviews were conducted with 10 informants. Data analysis was performed using Spearman correlation. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the Nadran tradition and the level of conflict control that occurred between Sirnabaya and Purwawinangun villages. Even though the community knows and applies the noble values ??of the Nadran tradition, the community tends to be involved in conflict. This happens because individuals lose their identity when in a crowd or are called deindividuation symptoms. This research is expected to be a consideration for the committee and the government in regulating the Nadran implementation system so that conflicts can be minimized.

Abstract

Tropical forests in Indonesia are very wide. In these forests grow various kinds of fauna and flora. One of the flora that has a unique characteristic is the Rafflesia flower. This flower is an annual plant because of its slow reproduction. IUCN data states that the plant is considered a near-extinct plant because the original habitat is starting to be damaged due to animal and human activities as well as unstable monitoring in the nature reserve. This study uses a literature review of studies that have been carried out and studies of environmental factors and prevention so that these flowers do not experience extinction by ex-situ and in-situ methods. Good forest conservation will keep the flower habitat so Rafflesia sp will be maintained and its available number in Indonesia remains in safe quantities from extinction.

Abstract

The people of Pagerwojo Village use well water for their daily needs. Well water that is used often produces an unpleasant odor and leaves a yellow-brown precipitate. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the concentration of the chemical parameters manganese, iron, pH, and hardness in well water belonging to the surrounding community. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The number of sampling points for testing well water is 6 points in each hamlet with consideration of purposive sampling of dug wells adjacent to the pollutant source. The results of the well water quality test found that the concentration of manganese parameters in sample A was 1.74 mg/l and sample F was 0.90 mg/l. Manganese concentration that exceeds the water quality standard threshold of 0.5 mg/l sanitation hygiene PMK No. 32 of 2017 causes yellow-brown colored deposits and causes an unpleasant odor in well water.
