Abstract

This study is aimed at improving Life Skills through the application of scientific approach. The stages of this study is to analyze the problems in school, develop scientific approach-based learning tools, and use learning tools. The subjects of this study were 30 MI students on the environmental pollution subject matter. In this study, data collection techniques used qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that life skills consisting of thinking skills, academic skills and social skills increased after being given an activity through science teaching based on a scientific approach.Keywords: life skills, scientific approach, learning tools

Abstract

Teaching media is a knowledge of the teaching methods used by a teacher or instructor. The method is the method used to achieve the stated goals. Another technique is the presentation technique mastered by the teacher to teach or present learning material to students in the classroom, so that the lesson can be absorbed, understood and utilized by students properly. The better the teaching method, the more effective the achievement of objectives. In reality, the teaching method or method used conveys different information in ways that are used to strengthen students in mastering knowledge, skills and attitudes (cognitive, psychomotor, affective). Specifically the method of teaching in the classroom, the effectiveness of a method is influenced by the goals, student factors, situation factors, and the teacher's own factors. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the demonstration and recitation methods in increasing student learning motivation in fiqh subjects in class 2 MI. This research is a classroom action research, research instrument using observation sheets and interviews. Data analysis uses a research cycle and is described qualitatively. The results showed an increase in student motivation in fiqh subjects using the method of demonstration and recitation.

Abstract

Learning materials in  two-dimentional figure in class II at MI Sunan Giri Merjosari Malang there are several problems namely students tend to be passive and the learning atmosphere is less pleasant because the teacher is more dominant using the lecture method so that the impact on student learning outcomes is less than the specified KKM 75 amounting to 60% of the 20 overall total students. One of the ways to improve the quality of student learning is to apply learning methods that later learning objectives can also be maximally achieved. Very diverse learning methods adapted to the material and objectives to be achieved include talking stick method including one of the learning methods carried out with the help of a stick and in turn will be held by students and who hold the mandatory answer questions from the teacher. Learning with the talking stick method is very suitable to be applied in elementary, because it can train students cognitive and psychomotor abilities, besides that the learning atmosphere is also fun and active students. This talking stick method is very appropriate to be used in the development of students' minds-on and hands-on. The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the talking stick method and the improvement of the minds-on and hands-on abilities of students in the Flat Build Class II MI Sunan Giri Merjosari Lamongan after using the talking stick method. Researchers conducted using a qualitative approach to the type of classroom action research (CAR). Analysis of the data used is descriptive qualitative techniques. The sequence of research activities includes 4 stages including: (1) Planning, (2) Implementation, (3) Observation, and (4) Reflection. The results of the study obtained the results of the assessment of learning outcomes of the two-dimentional figure material both cycle I and cycle II of Minds-on ability in cycle I amounted to 82.25 compared to the value of Minds-on in cycle II amounted to 85.5 an increase of 3.25. Likewise with the Hans-On ability assessment there was also an increase between Cycle I an average value of 75.45 and a second cycle of 80.95 an increase of 5.5. Based on the results of the analysis of the research data it can be concluded that the use of the talking stick method can improve the minds-on and hands-on abilities of thematic learning in Class II theme 4 Flat Build Material and its properties in MI Sunan Giri Merjosari Malang and its implementation can run effectively and efficient.

Abstract

The lack of the cognitive learning on the material of building is background of this research. It is proved of almost students that getting of lower score in criteria completeness of minimum (KKM). One of alternative solution from this problem is apply of contextual approach with REACT strategy. The purpose of this research to describe there is any influence between contextual approach and REACT strategy for the result of lesson special on building material. This research is quantitative research design with quasi experimental. The research show that there is any influence between contextual approach and REACT strategy for the cognitive learning. The analysis of data t-test show that score Sig.(2-tailed) < 0,05 is 0,000 < 0,05.Keywords: contextual approach, react strategy, cognitive learning, building space

Abstract

Abstract: The teaching medium is a knowledge of the teaching methods used by a teacher or instructor. Methods are the means used to achieve the established goals. Another technique is the presentation technique that is mastered by the teacher to teach or present the lesson materials to the students in the classroom, so that the lesson can be absorbed, understood and used by the students well. The better the teaching method, the more effective the achievement of the goal. Motivation is a change of energy within a person characterized by the emergence of "feeling and preceded by the response to the purpose, to get it then must be selected methods that if acceptable in teaching and learning activities well. In fact, the way or method of teaching used to convey different information in the way adopted to establish students in mastering knowledge, skills and attitudes (cognitive, psychomotoric, affective). Specific methods of teaching in the classroom, the effectiveness of a method is influenced by the purpose, student factors, situation factors, and teacher factor itself. Demonstration is a teaching method done by a teacher or someone else by showing the whole class about a process or a way of doing something. Demonstrations are always directed to the correct way of practice which is then Apliskasikan in everyday life. And recitation is also one of the learning media known as homework or students are given the task outside of lesson time. Both methods can be implemented simultaneously in the teaching and learning process.From the above statements can be concluded that in learning, students so as not to get bored then there should be variations in learning methods. Teachers must be clever in choosing a method, one of which is the Graphic method (concept map). In this case on the history of the use of Graphic method (concept map) is the right method to invite students to think and understand and apply in everyday life. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model to improve the critical thinking of MI Global Warning students in SD Tlogoanyar lamongan. The method is carried out by conducting pre-experiment by conducting a pretest and posttest during the research. The instruments used in the form of written tests and for data analysis using paired sample t test with the help of SPSS 25. based on the pretest posttest value done by students get the maximum value of 100 for the posttest while the drinking value is 80. After the paired test sample t test is known if the significance value equal to 0.00 or smaller than 0.005. which means Ha was accepted and Ho rejected.

Abstract

The low student learning outcomes are caused by various aspects, one of them is student awareness of the importance of learning. The purpose of this study was to analyze the correlation between students' science learning outcomes and metacognitive skills in elementary school students in Nanga Pinoh. This research is a quantitative study using One Group Pretest-Posttest design. Data was taken from 67 students in 3 State Elementary Schools, namely SDN 28, SDN 06, and SDN 03 Nanga Pinoh. The instruments used were test questions and the Metacognitive Skills Questionnaire. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results of data analysis using Pearson Product Moment Correlation shows that there is a significant positive relationship between student academic procrastination and student cognitive ability with the acquisition (rcount) = 0.993 at the significance level of 0.00. This means that the higher the level of metacognitive skills of students, the student learning outcomes will also increase. The coefficient of determination shows 0.98 or 98%, this means that student learning outcomes are determined by the level of metacognitive skills of students, while 2 % of student learning outcomes are determined by other factors such as health, the presence or absence of problems and others

Abstract

The research based on the low outcomes of fifth class student in Islamic elementary school MI Miftahul Huda in social studies learning. From the 11 students, 6 students didn’t complete in the daily tests. Therefore it is very necessary to apply a strategy that is considered to improve student learning outcomes, one such strategy is time token learning strategy. Time token trategy are appropriate because they have many the advantages and in accordance with characteristic of students.The purpose of this research that is, to know the application of time token strategy learning in improve learning outcomes students in social class and to know the increase in study results the students in learning social class. This research is using Kurt Lewin's research methods. The methods consisted of two cycles. Classroom Action Research can be improve the learning outcomes if; 1) 90 percent of students or more included in a category be completed, 2) minimal criteria for learning outcomes in social class fifth grade is as much as 75, and 3) Teachers can implement learning as planned the basis of 85%. Frome the Criteria above, time token learning strategy can improve learning outcomes can be seen from the observation of the teacher in the learning activities in the first cycle increased by 72% in the second cycle of 91%. In addition, viewed from the observation of student activity in the first cycle the percentage gain of 64% in the second cycle increased by 80%. At the first cycle of the average student values is 72, with a percentage of 64% completeness. At the first cycle there are seven students who completed and 4 students who do not complete. At the second cycle the average student values 83, with a percentage of 91% completeness. At the second cycle there are 10 students who completed and only 1 student who does not complete, so it does not need to be held the third cyclKeywords: Strategy Time Token, Social studies Learning Outcomes, Classroom Action Research

Abstract

A defined method or procedure used to achieve certain goals. With regards to learning methods are defined as a way of presenting learning materials for learners to achieve its intended purpose. Developing teaching methods is one of the efforts to improve the quality of student learning. An educator is required to master the method because it can help to facilitate its work in delivering course material and the most important methods used so that students can actively participate in the learning process. Reality on the ground science subjects is low quality because it has not reached the desired target adequately. This is caused in part by the methods used by teachers in learning. The method used is felt still less create a conducive atmosphere and fun for students. This led to the mentality of the students consider that science as difficult subjects so Siwa less passionate in learning. The purpose of this research is to know the implementation of discussion and question and answer method can increase students' motivation Subjects IPA / science Class V in MIN utara Kauman Jombang.  This research is a classroom action research (PTK) with a research model used is the model Kurt Lewin. Kurt Lewin explained that there are four things that must be done in the process of action research that is planning, action, observation and reflection. The results showed the application of the method of discussion and question and answer method can gradually increase students' motivation that impact on student achievement. Proven academic achievement when it happened in the first cycle students the acquisition value of a minimum of 75 and maximum of 88, while in the second cycle showed a significant increase post-test results indicate the acquisition value of a minimum of 76 and maximum of 96. Based on the results of study, we can conclude the success of student learning depends not only on the intelligence of children alone, but it also depends on how educators use appropriate methods in learning as evidenced by the results of applying the method of discussion and question and answer can increase students' motivation in class V-C MIN Kauman utara JombangKeywords: Learning Method, Motivation, IPA/Science
