Jurnal Natural Science ini memuat artikel yang membahas aspek pendidikan Fisika, metode, model pembelajaran IPA Fisika, inovasi-inovasi pembelajaran, perangkat pembelajaran, dan aspek fisika murni. Tim redaksi menerima artikel ilmiah dari hasil penelitian, laporan studikasus, kajian dan tinjauan pustaka. Terbitnya jurnal pendidikan ini menjadikan suatu indikator bahwa prodi Tadris IPA Fisika sangat peduli terhadap perkembangan dan inovasi-inovasi pada bidang sains terutama pendidikan Fisika. Selain itu adanya Jurnal Natural Science menunjukkan bahwa para dosen Tadris IPA Fisika sudah membudayakan meneliti dan mempublikasikan hasil penelitian. Jurnal studi pendidikan fisika juga mengajak pihak lain berpartisipasi dalam penerbitan jurnal baik universitas local maupun tingkat nasional dan bahkan internasional. Abstract

This study aims to compare science learning using conventional methods and narrative psychological approaches regarding atomic matter and atomic nuclear, fission reactions, atomic bombs, and the effects of atomic bomb radiation. In this study the method used is experimental. While the approach in this study used is quantitative. The quantitative approach used includes hypothesis testing with Wilcoxon stratified numbers. Hypothesis testing with the number of Wilcoxon stratified levels was used as an analysis to determine the comparison between two groups of samples that were treated differently and grouped into certain strata. This method is a further development of the hypothesis testing method with the number of Wilcoxon levels. Based on the calculations, this study concludes that there are differences in learning performance, learning using narrative psychological approaches related to atomic bomb material and the effect of using atomic bombs has better performance than conventional learning methods.

Abstract

Metacognitive awareness is indispensable for successful learning, considering metacognitive awareness allows students to be able to manage cognitive skills and be able to see their weaknesses, so that improvements can be made in subsequent actions. The development in the 21st century demands that everyone be aware of the importance of metacognition. This study aims to analyze the metacognitive awareness of students towards learning biology in the Biology study program and to determine the level of metacognitive awareness of biology students at IAIN Kerinci in class A and B semester 3. Data collection using questionnaires or questionnaires and interviews. The descriptive data analysis technique was categorized into two, namely the metacognitive awareness interval and the metacognitive awareness percentage. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Each indicator of metacognitive awareness is measured using the Metacognitive Awareness Inventory (MAI), where each point of the indicator is different. The categorization of metacognitive awareness is divided into 5, namely very good, good, moderate, low, and very low. (2) The percentages for metacognitive awareness of Biology students in the third semester are as follows: in class A there are 3 (very low), 4 (low), 4 (moderate), and 1 (good). Whereas in class B there are 1 (very low), 11 (low), and 4 (moderate). (3) The results of the metacognitive awareness interview of Biology students in semester 3 showed that each individual has different metacognitive awareness, and of course understands a different material.

Abstract

Abstract: Science education has begun to focus on developing resources that can solve real problems around it. One of the abilities that need to be developed is the ability of students to think rationally which focuses on addressing a problem. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of asynchronous online learning at MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo with a STEM approach to the ability to think rationally in addressing problems. The research method used is a quantitative approach and data collection is done through test techniques. The data in this study were analyzed using quantitative descriptive and then continued with inferential statistics after going through the pre-requisite test. Based on the data processing carried out, the results of asynchronous online learning with the STEM approach showed quite effective results in developing rational thinking skills. The application of asynchronous online learning with the STEM approach in the experimental class showed better rational thinking skills than the control class with a scientific approach. This happens because the applied learning invites students to think about solving problems from several points of view. Intisari: Pendidikan IPA sudah mulai berfokus pada pengembangan sumber daya yang dapat menyelesaikan persoalan nyata di sekitarnya. Salah satu kemampuan yang perlu dikembangkan adalah kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir rasional yang berfokus untuk menyikapi suatu permasalahan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektivitas pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring asynchronous di MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo dengan pendekatan STEM terhadap kemampuan berpikir rasional dalam menyikapi masalah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dan pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui teknik tes. Data penelitian ini analisis menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif kemudian dilanjutkan dengan statistik inferensial setelah melalui uji pra syarat.  Berdasarkan pengolahan data yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil pembelajaran daring asynchronous dengan pendekatan STEM menunjukkan hasil yang cukup efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan berpikir rasional. Penerapan pembelajaran daring asynchronous dengan pendekatan STEM pada kelas eksperimen menunjukkan kemampuan berpikir rasional yang lebih baik dari pada kelas kontrol dengan pendekatan saintifik. Hal ini terjadi karena pembelajaran yang diterapkan mengajak siswa untuk berpikir memecahkan permasalahan dari beberapa sudut pandang.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the validity and practicality of the physics learning module based on the Guided Discovery learning model in class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Ulakan tapakis.This type of research is research and development (R&D). The subjects of this research trial were 32 students of class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Ulakan Tapakis. The data collection instruments used were in the form of expert validation questionnaires and practical test questionnaires for educators and students. The data analysis technique used is the analysis of the validity of the module and the analysis of the practicality of using a physics learning module based on the guided discovery learning model. From the results of the analysis of the learning module validation test, the developed module was categorized as very valid with a validity level of 84,56%. The practicality level of the module from educators and students is 86.03% with a very practical category.Keywords: Physics Learning Module, Guided Discovery Learning, Validity.

Abstract

Dikotomi keilmuan cenderung menempatkan science dan agama dalam posisi yang berseberangan. Namun dalam konteks islam, ilmu pengetahuan merupakan hal mendasar yang menjadi prinsip dan fundamental. Hal tersebut sangat banyak dapat ditemukan dalam Al qur’an, yang memastikan pentingnya peran akal dan ilmu pengetahuan. Alat bantu yang dapat menjalin koneksi antara ilmu science dan ilmu agama adalah filosofi.  Filosofi sebagai akarnya ilmu pengetahuan melakukan pendekatan tentang hubungan ilmu fisika dengan ilmu agama dengan menggunakan akal, perasaan, dan logika. Filosofi pendidikan dapat dijadikan sebagai media untuk mendalami dunia pendidikan dengan proses perenungan yang panjang. Berfilosofi penting dilakukan agar mampu menggali manfaat tersembunyi, berupa pemahaman akan ilmu yang dipelajari serta bagaimana analoginya dalam kehidupan. Konsep yang dikemukakan oleh Pascal tentang tekanan, memberikan gambaran yang dapat digunakan untuk memahami arti kelapangan hati dan kesabaran. Bagaimana seorang manusia harus bertindak ketika dalam suatu masalah sesuai dengan ajaran Al-Qur’an. Hubungan sederhana ini bisa digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif untuk lebih mudah memahami dan mengingat konsep dasar tekanan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the acceptance of science teachers to the use of zoom in carrying out learning in accordance with the nature of science within the framework of the technology acceptance model. This research is a quantitative research with data analysis techniques using descriptive techniques and path analysis. The research population was 34 science teachers who were members of the science teacher association (PPII) in the Riau region, with a sample of 27 teachers who used zoom when teaching. The variables studied in this study were selected from 4 variables from the TAM framework, namely: perceived usefulness (PU), perceived ease of use (PEOU), behavioral intention to use (BIU) and, actual technology use (ATU). The results of the study show that the teacher's perception of zoom is seen by the PU, PEOU, and BIU variables in the high category, because zoom is easy to use and can facilitate the implementation of learning in accordance with the nature of science. While the ATU in the low category is due to the influence of other factors such as the network. Path analysis showed a significant relationship between the following variables: 1) PEOU and PU, 2) PU and BIU, 3) PEOU and BIU, and 4) BIU and ATU.

Abstract

The scientific revolution is a replacement of the old paradigm to a new paradigm. According to Khun, the key to revolution regarding scientific paradigms is the approach or method taken by scientists in solving scientific problems. One of the paradigms in science is the development of the physics branch of Optics. Optics is the study of the properties of light in a material. This research is a literature study on optics material. The literature is taken from several books and journals related to the research conducted. Based on the search results, it is known that the Scientific Revolution in optics consists of 4 (four) periods. The first period was marked by the discovery of an optical lens. In this first period the opinion of scientists was not accompanied by experiments. The second period scientists have conducted experiments to support the theories put forward. One of the natural phenomena that scientists observed during this period was the rainbow. The third period is the shortest period in the history of the development of optics. In this period Thomas Young explained the concept of light being able to bend which was previously unanswered by Newton's emission theory. The fourth period is the period of modern optics, where the photoelectric effect and fiber optics have been discovered

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to see the effect size of the project-based learning (PjBL) model on students' understanding of concepts, using the meta-analysis method. The articles obtained in this study amounted to 15 articles. The first result of this research is that the project based learning (PjBL) model has a high category effectiveness on students' conceptual understanding. Second, if it is seen from the level of education, the project based learning (PjBL) model has a high category effectiveness for understanding the concepts of students. The third is the use of project-based learning (PjBL) media that is effectively used for understanding students' concepts. Fourth, science and physics material is effectively used for understanding students' concepts.Intisari: Penelitian bertujuan untuk melihat effect size pengaruh model project based learning (PjBL) terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik, dengan menggunakan metode meta-Analisi. Artikel yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini yaitu berjumlah 15 Artikel. Hasil Penelitian ini pertama yaitu model project based learning (PjBL) memiliki keefektifan kategoti tinggi terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Kedua yaitu jika dilihat dilihat dari jenjang pendidikan model project based learning (PjBL) memiliki keefektifan kategori tinggi terhdap pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Ketiga yaitu penggunaan media model project based learning (PjBL) efektif digunakan untuk pemahaman konsep peserta didik. Keempat yaitu materi Ipa dan Fisika efektif digunakan terhadap pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the results of the application, the completeness of the indicators of student learning outcomes, the completeness of student learning outcomes and the responses of students to learning activities by applying the learning model of subject matter and energy to class VIIIE students in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 6 Kupang academic year 2020 / 2021. This type of research is descriptive research. The subjects in the study were students of class VIIIE SMP Negeri 6 Kupang according to 20 people and teachers (researchers). The data techniques used were observation, tests and questionnaires, while the instruments used in this study were direct learning management sheets, learning outcomes tests and student response form sheets. The research result analysis technique used is quantitative statistical analysis which includes the calculation of the average score, proportion and proportion. Based on the results of quantitative descriptive statistical analysis, the research data in general shows that the application of the direct learning model of subject matter and energy in class VIIIE students in the odd semester of SMP Negeri 6 Kupang in the 2020 / 2021academic year, which allegedly 20 people is optimal.

Abstract

Penentuan pH larutan asam dan basa merupakan salah mata praktikum dalam Mata Kuliah Praktikum Kimia Dasar. Permasalahan yang di alami di laboratorium adalah terkendala indikator sintetis yang disediakan ada yang rusak karena penyimpanan dan harganya juga relatif mahal. Salah satu upaya untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut, maka dilakukan pembuatan indikator asam basa alami menggunakan pigmen/zat warna pada rimpang kunyit (Curcuma domestica), bunga karamunting (Melastoma malabathricum), dan kembang sepatu (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui 2 tahap, yaitu proses pembuatan indikator asam basa alami dan menggunakan indikator tersebut untuk mendeteksi pH beberapa larutan dengan melihat perubahan warna yang terjadi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di dapatkan hasil : 1) Rentang pH indikator cair bunga adalah pH 1-4 berwarna merah, pH 5-6 oranye / jingga, dan pH 7-14 ungu; 2) Rentang pH indikator cair dari bunga sepatu adalah pH 0-1 merah jingga /oranye, pH 2-4 ungu, pH 9-12 hijau, dan pH 13-14 kuning; 3) Rentang  pH indikator cair rimpang kunyit adalah pH 1-7 berwarna kuning dan pH 7-14 merah bata / kecokelatan.
