Abstract

Faculty of Information Technology has a server in each laboratory which has different file stored and located in different location. Storage system in Faculty of Information Technology Satya Wacana Christian University labs has a problem, that is needed file sharing that is used on laboratory which had different location for class purposes. The problem would be happened that caused long distance and take much time just to get a file for learning in class. Cloud computing system designed for that problem, with using proxmox as a virtual manager and EyeOS as cloudmanagement, this system would solve the data centralization problem because all of laboratory files and documents for class activity would be placed into one cloud storage and able to accessed with any communication media tools. Cloud has a SSL encryption security system so that file which located on cloud would be secured because it was encrypted. Final result from this research would obtain a cloud server which used as centralized storage places and accessible for global or local purposes.

Abstract

Visual Communication Design is a Department in Information Technology Faculty. Annually, this study program conducts several exhibition events. However, there is a big problem in it that is no storage to store files of student works that usually are often damaged or vanished. By this research the researcher created an Online Virtual Gallery with the newest technology called HTML5 that use to store the files, such as: drawings, paintings, sketches, videos, games, etc. For the result, this research produced a virtual container that able to accommodate the works of DKV student, so that by this application expectantly could be help the student to store their exhibition files.

Abstract

As one of the areas located on the ring of fire, North Sulawesi has a natural disaster threat level is high enough. Mount Lokon, located in the North Sulawesi region is an active volcano with fairly high seismic activity. Mount Lokon eruption disaster management such as casualty evacuation and early warning system towards the arrival of this eruption to be slow. This is caused by the difficulty of determining the fastest evacuation path resulting in many casualties. The purpose of this study was to determine the fastest track in the evacuation of the eruption of Mount Lokon. The method used is Ant-Colony Optimization is a method in computing, artificialintelligence and tried as one method of determining the shortest path effectively. The results obtained from this study is the Ant-Colony Algorithm method can be used to determine the fastest track in the evacuation process volcanic eruption where evacuation points and pathways that must be passed can be determined quickly and effectively in the evacuation process.

Abstract

Traffic safety became one of the priorities that should be prioritized and considered. Safety riding is the behavior of motorists who are more concerned both for the safety, comfort and compliance with traffic regulations in order to prevent the risk of traffic accidents, as is done for the safety for the driver and passengers. Prevention efforts to minimize the human factor in traffic offenses, can be done by providing information knowledge learning about the discipline of traffic to the children since early ages, especially children 7 years of age because at the age of the children are able to read and count, both on the education level elementarythrough to high school / vocational school up to college students. This research, the process of designing multimedia applications that can be used in early education about the function and role of traffic signs by using Augmented Reality technology. With the design of multimedia applications is expected to add media education for the people in the know and learn about traffic signs, so that the number of traffic violations can be reduced.The results obtained from this research is the process of designsuccessfully performed with marked that the application can be run in accordance with the scenario. In addition the results of the test using black box showed that the results obtained in accordance with the expected results. Additionally marker failed to be detected if the distance the camera with a marker less than 10 ± 0.05 cm or more than 75 ± 0.05 cm and the angle between the marker below 40 ± 0,5O or more than 140 ± 0,5O.

Abstract

E-Money is an instrument of non-cash transaction or payment instrument without the physical presence of the money. E-Money is saving the amount of money into the electronic equipment, which is then used to perform a transaction. Along the development, E-Money is increasingly being used in Indonesia. Therefore, the researchers will conduct an analysis to know if there is a significant effect of the factors such as usability, reputation and security to public confidence in Indonesia to conduct the transactions using E-Money. The purpose of this study is to determine: (a) Does the factor of usability have a significant positive effect to public confidence in Indonesia to do the transactions by using E-Money, (b) Does the factor of reputation have a significant positive effect to public confidence in Indonesia to do the transactions by using E-Money (c) Does the factor of safety have a significant positive effect to public confidence in Indonesia to do the transactions by using E-Money, (d) other matters that could have a significant effect to public confidence in Indonesian to do the transactions by using E-Money. The respondents in this study will be drawn randomly to the people who have been using E-Money as an instrument of the transactions. This research was conducted by using Path Analysis after previously doing normality testing, validity testing, and reliability testing. The results of this study prove that: (1) the existence of a significant positive effect of reputation to public confidence in using E-Money (2) the existence of a significant positive effect of a security to public confidence in using of E-Money (3) the existence of a significant positive effect of a reputation to public confidence in using of E-Money (4) the existence of a significant positive effect of a usability to reputation in using of E-Money (5) the existence of a significant positive effect of a usability to security in using of E-Money. This study also serves to provide input to the various parties, such as the vendors of E-Money developers, community as the users and potential users of E-Money, as well as the students and academics who are interested in studying E-Money. This research models is good because the results is significant between variable as a hypothesis.

Abstract

Technological developments in the electronics industry at this time can be quite fast, but not so in companies engaged in the production of cement. The absence of the slow process of monitoring and reporting process (report) makes the process less efficient cement production, especially on the side of labor and time. To solve the problem it was designed Monitoring System In Cement Production Calculation. This design has several components supporting the IR Proximity sensor, DCmotor, RS232 to RS485 interface, microcontroller and computer servers. When the cement production starts, the server computer will enter the desired amount of production, through serial communication with RS232 to RS485 interface microcontroller will then run as a dc motor driving the conveyor and count the number of goods being produced using IR proximity sensors, the calculation process will be sent back to the computer server for process monitoring. Once the calculation is complete microcontroller will automatically stop the production process by setting a logic low on the dc motor. Through a server computer, a report will be made based on the results of monitoring of the cement production processthat has been implemented.

Abstract

The Internet is a global computer network that connects the world in a network. Evolution happens on the Internet is one of the most interesting phenomena in technological advancements happening no. One aspect that is arguably the principal in this evolution is the emergence of Electronic Commerce (E-commerce) in the business environment. Sale and purchase transactions so that can be done without having to come to the seller. PT. Jogja Kelapa Mas is a company engaged in the Supplier of coconut sugar, virgin coconut oil and Fresh coconut. Product marketing and sales process is still largely done manually and marketing processesis still minimal use of technology, that only use telephone, email, social media, advertising, and advertising on the website advertising space provider so the company is not very well known people. So to overcome this system is designed marketing or sales (e-commerce) PT. Jogja Kelapa mas based website that consists of 12 pages which display form 7 form the product information page, informing about coconut sugar, original coconut oill, and fresh coconut, 2 pages of company information that informs the company profile and contact the company, 2 page admin form as a page to enter or edit the information on web pages as well asview a page of customer orders, and a customer order form page that appears when users access the system, so that the product sales process can be done easily and is a place to publish product companies that can be seen by the customer with the utmost of various villages, cities, and even countries.

Abstract

This research aims to model forecasting of dollar against rupiah by combining the Markov chains and time series models. Probability transition matrix arranged based on 459 time series data of the exchange rates for Australia Dollar (AUD) from October 20, 2014 until August 31, 2016. There are ten classifications were determined based on the exchange rates from sharply lower to sharply higher. Forecast results based on summation of forecast results with the magnitude of the change based on the state prediction probability. Evaluation of the best models are based on the value of Mean Squared Error (MSE) preliminary models. Then, the best models are based on Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) and Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) forecast result. The result, there are three models that are considered the best: MC-SMA18, MC-DES10, and MC-DES10.S. The model chosen for this case is MC-DES10.S with MAPE = 0,352% and MAD = 35,107.

Abstract

Nowadays almost all aspects in human life influenced by information technology. Almost all devices used by human were controlled by computer systems. Lot of investments were made, with not much of evaluation and feedback of the gained benefits were reported. This study tries to figure out how Information Technology is evaluated, approaches that been done, and critics for continually improvement. Review is started with IT-paradox, followed by IT-success, IT-values, IT-evaluations, IT-adoptions, and IT-management. Manuscript is ended with critics and discussion, implications, and conclusion.

Abstract

This research aims to model the change in inflation rate in Indonesia. Inflation is defined as an increase in the price of goods or services that occur continuously. Ifthe known changes in a period of inflation it will be known the value of inflation in that period. Then from the model obtained, is expected to predict the value of inflation in Indonesia in the next period. By utilizing the data time series methods in use in this research is a method of Holt-Winters. Method of The Holt-Winters' (HW) smoothing is a generalization of the method of linear Holt. This technique was proposed in 1960 by Holt and Winters. This method is the development of a linear method of Holt. Holt-Winters method widely used in time series which shows a pattern of increase or decrease in the trend. By utilizing these methods shows that data prediction and the actual data is almost the same. From these data, there is a lower prediction datafrom actual data. Forecasting with Holt-Winters method can be said to be efficient ifat the time of the next level of inflation other than in the outermost color range class prediction.
