Abstract

Waste becomes an environmental problem in Bali and requires attention immediately. Plastic waste is the second largest component in waste generation in Bali, which very harmful to health and threatens Bali tourism. Plastic waste production in Bali reaches 268 tons every day and only 29.4% of plastic waste is disposed of to landfills. While 44.5% of plastic waste is not processed so that pollutes the environment especially the river and the sea. The Bali Provincial Government realize the dangers of plastic waste and tried to limit generations by issuing regulations that limit the generation of plastic waste. Due to the regulation, it is expected to reduce the generation of plastic waste up to 60-70% so that it can improve environmental quality and have a positive impact on the quality of life and public health as well as Bali tourism. One important point is that being free from plastic will lead Bali into a clean and green island.

Abstract

Women's political participation in the political stage has increased, one of which is due to the creation of the 2003 Election Law which regulates the quota of women legislative candidates at least 30 percent. The emergence of regulations that open wide avenues for women to take part in politics, in fact, is inversely proportional to the conditions of women cadres in Bali. In Bali, women who succeed in sitting in the district / city legislature can be counted by fingers. From the 2004 to 2014 elections, no more than 10 percent of Balinese women succeeded in gaining positions in the regional legislature. The number of Balinese women who participated was relatively large, but after voting (elections), only a few managed to win. So that this raises the phenomenon of Balinese female cadres being only used as a tool to fulfill the quota of political parties without being given the knowledge, motivation and fighting spirit to take careers seriously in the world of practical politics.

Abstract

This study is to see the effect of tail suits on the political choices of Balinese people who are known to have the highest identification of political parties in Indonesia ahead of simultaneous elections (pemilu serentak) in 2019. The method used is quantitative research methods with 1,120 respondents spreading across all regenciess/cities in Bali. The sampling technique applied was multistage random sampling, so the margin of error was 3%. The results of this study indicate the tail coat effect present in the community which has a strong identification of political parties. It's just that the tail coat effect reads smaller than ID party in the political choices of the Balinese people.

General election is a tools or facility in implementing democracy which is carried out directly, publicly, freely, confidentially, honestly and fairly. This is in accordance with the principle of democracy, namely from the people, by the people, and for the people as mandated by Article 1 paragraph 2 of the 1945 Constitution. The election is believed to be only as one instrument to encourage the democratic process. Because the increase of mature democracy will reduce injustice and make people's lives more secure in their freedom and encourage the creation more a fair. However, democracy which is carried out through general election in Indonesia now adays is not democracy and the general which is election very suitable for Indonesia. Indonesia has a democratic style mechanism and only exists in Indonesia. Indonesian democracy has been very clearly stated in the 4th principle of Pancasila, which is popularly led by wisdom in deliberation/representation. For this reason, awareness is needed by state leaders and elected board members to be able to understand and explore the values and spirits of Indonesians style democracy.
