Abstract

This research aimed to determine the significant positive effect of learning discipline on the mathematics learning outcomes of seventh grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Baubau. This research used ex post facto method whit quantitative research type. The population in this research were all seventh grade student at SMP Negeri 3 Baubau which consisted 8 classes whit a total of 243 students. While the sample in this research war 35% of the population or as many as 85. Data collection using questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis technique used prerequisite test, with simple correlation and regression analysis. Hypothesis testing technique using regression analysis. Sourced from the results of data analysis and a simple regression estimate of disciplinary assessment (X) on learning outcomes (Y) resulted in a significance value of 0.036 < 0.05. So that it could be concluded that there was an influence of discipline (independents variable) on learning outcomes (bound variable). SPSS output results also produce R2 was 0.052. this showed the magnitude of the influence of discipline on learning outcomes was a much as 5.2%. According to the equation of the formulation of a simple regression analysis was Y = 53.029 + 0.164X, it could be seen that the discipline variable at the 1% level was better, the student learning outcomes would increase by 0.164. Thus, based on the hypothesis that could be taken, there was a significant positive effect of learning discipline on the mathematics learning outcomes of seventh grade student at SMP Negeri 3 Baubau

Abstract

Skills on the integer system are the main competencies in developing learning in other, more complex number systems, but there are still many students who are not sufficiently proficient in these competencies. This study is an ethnographic study with the aim of describing the mental model and the nature of the consistency of integers that become the learning experience of students at elementary schools in Baubau City. This study provides information that the mental models of elementary school students in Baubau City found in integer learning are initial mental models, synthetic mental models and formal mental models. Students in working on integer addition operations still show inconsistencies when using number line media as a tool.

Abstract

Problem statement of this research was Whether there was: 1) simultaneous influence between self-confidence and emotional intelligence on ability to solve Mathematics word problem; 2) a positive and significant influence of self-confidence on ability to solve Mathematics word problem; and 3) a positive and significant influence of emotional intelligence on ability to solve Mathematics word problem of the student at VIII grade of SMP Negeri 4 Baubau. This research was quantitative research with the type of Expost Facto. Population of this research was all students at VIII grade of SMP Negeri 4 Baubau with the total number was 352 students and spread over 11 parallel classes, with the sampling in this research of 25% of the total population or as many as 88 students. Data collection technique in this research conducted by using research instrument which was questionnaire of self-confidence and emotional intelligence as well as mathematical ability tests, to measure students’ mastery of mathematical statistics material in this case the word problem in the form of probability. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis, in the form of multiple linear regression analysis.Based on the results of the research, it was concluded: 1) there was a simultaneous influence of self-confidence and emotional intelligence on the ability to solve mathematics word problems of student at VIII grade of SMP Negeri 4 Baubau, this could be seen from the value of Sig. < alpha, (0.013 < 0.050); 2) partially, there was a negative effect of self-confidence on the ability to solve mathematics word problems of student at VIII grade of SMP Negeri 4 Baubau, this could be seen from the value of Sig. < alpha, (0.049 < 0.050). 3) As for testing the third hypothesis, there was a positive influence of emotional intelligence on the ability to solve mathematics word problems of student at VIII grade of SMP Negeri 4 Baubau, this could be seen from the value of Sig. < alpha, (0.017 < 0.050).

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study is whether the Problem Solving learning method has an effect on students' creativity in learning mathematics on fractions material in class V SD Negeri Karing-Karing?. The population in this study is all fifth grade students of SD Negeri Karing-Karing in the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 36 students consisting of 2 classes which are also used as samples using saturated sampling technique. The data collection of this study used a description test, and analyzed using the Independent-Samples T Test analysis. The results of this study showed that based on the results of descriptive analysis, the average value of increasing creativity in learning mathematics for experimental class students was 82.37; the average increase in students' mathematics learning creativity in the control class was 72.37. And based on the results of inferential analysis by using the t-test, it is known to be significant at 0.014 0.05, which means that H0 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Solving learning method on the creativity of students' mathematics learning in the fraction material in class V SD Negeri Karing-Karing

Abstract

The problem in this study is whether there is a difference between students who are taught by the problem solving method and those who are taught by the question and answer method of mathematics learning achievement in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Baubau. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in achievement between students who were taught by the problem solving method and those taught by the question and answer method of learning achievement in mathematics in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Baubau. The hypothesis in this study is that there are differences in learning achievement in mathematics between students who are taught by problem solving methods and students who are taught by question and answer methods of Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Baubau. This research is a quasi-experimental research using problem solving methods and questioning methods. responsible for learning Mathematics. The sample was chosen randomly, where class VIII-4 as the experimental class and class VIII-10 as the control class with 24 students each. The data collected were analyzed by descriptive statistics and inferential statistics with t-test. The results showed that there were significant differences between the problem-solving method and the question-and-answer method on mathematics learning achievement on the subject matter of a two-variable linear equation system in class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Baubau. , or it can be said that learning achievement with problem solving method is better than question and answer method

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the cooperative learning mdel type teams games tournament(TGT) on the mathematics  learning motivation of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 12 Gu.This research was a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design method. The population in this  research were all fourth grade students of SD Negeri 12 Gu in the odd semester of the 2021/2022 academic year which consisted  of 2 classes with a total of 44 students who where also used as samples using total sampling technique. This serearch data collection using a questionnaire. The results of this researh showed the based on the results of descriptive analysis, the average value of the increase in the results of the experimental class mathematics learning motivation quetionnaire was 25.00; the average increase in the results of the control class mathematics leraning motivation questionnaire was 16.85; and based on the results of inferential analysis by looking at the normality  test, the significant value of the questionnaire on motivation to learn mathematics in the experimental class was 0.200 and the control class was 0.200, while the homogeneity test showed that the value of the questionnaire on students motivation to learn mathematics in both classes was 0.338>0.05. So that it could be said that the two classes were normally distributed and homogeneus. By using the t-test, it was known that is was significant0.037<0,050, which meant that H0 was rejected. So that it was concluded that there was an effect of the cooperative learning model of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type on the mathematics learning motivation of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 12 Gu.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of online learning on the interest in learning mathematics of SMA Negeri 1 Gu students. This research was a quantitative research using the Ex-post Facto method, where the research population was all students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Gu with a total of 248 students spread over 8 classes. The sampel used in this research was 25% of the population as many as 62 students. The instrument was questionnaire, this data was analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The data of this study were obtained based on the results of inferential analysis by looking at the normality test, a significant value was obtained of 0.200> 0.05, the linearity test obtained a significant value of 0.283> 0.05, the autocorrelation test by looking at the dw value of 1.433 < du i.e. 1.6561 and less of (4 – du) 4 – 1.6561 and the heteroscedasticity test obtained a significant value of 0.586> 0.05. So it can be said that the data is normally distributed, linear, there are symptoms of autocorrelation and there are no symptoms of heteroscedasticity. By using simple linear regression the equation is obtained: Y = 28.922 + 0.727x. While the calculated F value obtained is 42.476 with a significant value of 0.00 <0.05. This shows that H0 is accepted, meaning that there is an effect of online learning on the interest in learning mathematics in X grade at SMA Negeri 1 Gu.

Abstract

Problem statement of this research was how cordthe level of reliability of the test mede by Mathematics teacher at the Junior High School Level in Baubau City according to the Classical Test Theory. Objective of this research was to analysis and to describe the level of reliability of the test made by Mathematics teacher at the Junior High School Level in Baubau City according to the Classical Test Theory. This research used quantitative research according to the Classical Test Theory. Data collection technique in this research used research instrument of multiple choice answer sheet at Junior High School student in VIII grade who took the end of the even semester test for Mathematics for the 2020/2021 academic year along with the answer key using ITEMAN application. Based on the research outcome, it was concluded that the level of reliability of the test made by Mathematics teacher according to the Classical Test Theory at the Junior High Schoool Level in Baubau City which was analyzed by the ITEMAN program had a reliability level based on the criteria category consisting of 7 school namely SMP Negeri 4 Baubau was 0.844 > 0.600 very high category, SMP Negeri 2 Baubau was 0.719 > 0.600 and SMP Negeri 18 Baubau was 0.778 > 0.600 high category, SMP Negeri 8 Baubau was 0.410 > 0.600 enough category, SMP Negeri 10 Baubau was 0.337 < 0.600 low category, SMP Negeri 6 Baubau was -0.173 and SMP Negeri 16 Baubau was -0.448 < 0 unreliable category.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this study was an Effect of Independent Learning on the Mathematics Learning Achievement of VII Grade Students of SMP Negeri 8 Buton. The objective of this research was to see the effect of independent learning on matehematics learning achievement in VII grade student of SMP Negeri 8 Buton. This type of study was a quantitative study with a correlation Ex Post Facto approach. the population in this study were all VII SMP Negeri 8 Buton, which consisted of 5 classes that met 139 student. The sampling technique used was rando, sampling technique, which was selelcted 2 classes from 5 classes randomly. After selecting the sample, namely class VII 2 with a total of 27 students and class VII 3 with a total of 27 students, so that the total sample was 54 students. The data technique in this study used a questionnaire and documention. Based on the results of calculations using simple linear regression linear regression equation: = 108.164 + 0.347 X. With at value of 2.094, significant at 0.041 < 0.05. This indicated that H1 was accepted, or H0 was rejected. This meant that there was a significant influence between independent learning on mathematics learning achievement VII grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Buton.

Abstract

Problem statement of this research was how estimation of true score and standard error measurement of teacher made test mathematics subject according to classical test theory at the Junior High School level in Baubau city. Objective of this research was to know estimation of true score and standard error measurement of teacher made test Mathematics subject according to classical test theory at the Junior High School level in Baubau city. This research was descriptive quantitative research with the research subjects were all multiple choice tests made by the teacher for the final even semester test for the student at class VIII academic year of 2020/2021 in Mathematics subject of 7 Junior High School in Baubau city. The instruments of this research were answer sheets and student answer keys which were collected using documentation techniques. Data analysis was using the ITEMAN program. The results showed that the measurement standard error (E) of the Mathematics teacher made test at the Junior High School level in Baubau city consisted of 7 relatively small schools, including SMP Negeri 1 Baubau of 2,224, SMP Negeri 3 Baubau of 2,680, SMP Negeri 5 Baubau of 2,005, SMP Negeri 7 Baubauof 2,147, SMP Negeri 9 Baubau of 1,450, SMP Negeri 11 Baubau of 1,883, and SMP Negeri 17 Baubau of 1,995. This showed that the observed score obtained by student (X) tends to be close to the actual score (T).
