Abstract

The purpose of this empowerment is to improve the ability of street children such as street musicians in increasing their income and also handling of waste / garbage in Surakarta. Managing street children holistically by considering various dimensions such as development of the community, characteristics of the community and the applied model will also produce a long-term impact. The methode used in this empowerment is participatori rurall appraisal by involving elemenst such as street children as a waste / garbage collector as a container / receiver, youth organization as a supervisor, and village officials as a protector. Garbage deposited will be recorder by the garbage collectors and accumulated at the end of the month. Therefore the money collected can be an additional earnings for them (street children). Evaluation is done every three months by youth organization and reported to the vilage officials. Evaluation of the first three months, there is still necessary guidance needed for the street children in order to remain diligent in carrying out their program. Empowerment in the Surakarta region particularly Nusukan and Semanggi villages has the potential to be applied also for housewives and teenagers.

Abstract

Magelang regency is the center of cassava in Central Java. One of the villages in the subdistrict Kajoran whose people business are processing cassava into cassava crackers is Sidowangi village. Crackers processing is still done traditionally method. Equipment used were not conform with the standards for the food industry. It is known with the washing cassava peel in the form of a big tub filled with water, put peeled cassava, then washed by hand and foot. In order to clean cassava should be washed one by one so it takes a long time. Besides that the drying process is also done by uncontrolled because the sun drying with braids pedestal. If there is no sun the people can not drying the cassava crackers. Consequently crackers that have been damaged due to slicing become moldy or rotten and it can not be used. As an effort to resolve these problems, the UNS team has agreed with the SME partners to organize a program of activities: training and introduction liquid waste treatment technology into nata de cassava; Introductions production process technology mocaf as product diversification efforts; The introduction of appropriate technology cassava crackers processing food industry standards.The results show that the mplementation of the training activity making nata de cassava, Implementation of the training activity mocaf processing technology, Introduction Equipment For Improved Quality Cassava Crackers and Potential Product Diversification, entrepreneurial training and management of food industry, Pelatihan pemasaran berbasis IT dan strategi direct sellingKey words: diversification, crackers, cassava, introduction, technology

Abstract

The ducks hatchery produces a number of waste comprises empty shells from hatched eggs, infertile eggs, dead embryos, and unhatched eggs. The presence of the waste in large amount can cause an environmental pollution. Furthermore, it has a potential but has not received enough attention in terms of utilization as feed ingredient in poultry ration. It contains a substantial amount of nutrients such as protein and calcium, and can be processed into hatchery waste meal that can be applied as an inconventional feed ingredient in ducks ration. The purpose of this activity was to process the ducks hatchery waste into hatchery waste meal to be applied in the ration of local ducks. We colaborated with the Farmers Group of Sabar Sabar 1 and Subur Subur 2 in the Village Gaum, Tasikmadu, Karanganyar. This activity comprises of two stages. The first stage was instructional methods and dialogue through socialization, whereas the second stage was the practical of the hatchery waste meal production and its application in ration. The benefits of this activity is the application of hatchery waste meal can increase ducks productivity, minimize the costs of ration and can reduce the impact of hatchery waste on environmental pollution.Keywords: hatchery waste, local ducks, ration, farmers

Abstract

Hand sanitizer (antiseptik tangan) adalah produk kesehatan yang secara instant dapat mematikan kuman tanpa menggunakan air, dapat digunakan kapan saja dan  dimana saja, misalnya setelah memegang uang, sebelum makan, setelah dari toilet dan setelah membuang sampah. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat menghasilkan suatu produk kesehatan yang dapat dimanfaatkan baik untuk diri sendiri, keluarga dan masyarakat sekitarnya. Metode yang digunakan berupa ceramah berisi penjelasan materi dan praktek pembuatan hand sanitizer. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah pemahaman peserta tentang pembuatan hand sanitizer dari bahan alam beserta fungsinya

Abstract

Dari tahun ke tahun, semakin banyak festival musik yang diselenggarakan di Jakarta. Salah satunya adalah Ramadhan Jazz Festival yang diselenggarakan oleh RICMA dan Warta Jazz. Festival musik ini dilakukan untuk menarik perhatian kaum millennial agar datang ke masjid dengan cara yang berbeda, yaitu dengan menghadiri festival musik jazz di Jakarta yang dapat dihadiri oleh semua khalayak Muslim ataupun Non-Muslim. Festival musik dapat diselenggarakan dengan baik apabila memiliki materi promosi yang sesuai. Materi promosi yang digunakan harus memiliki desain yang sesuai, serta elemen-elemen yang tepat agar pesan yang disampaikan oleh penyelenggara dapat tersampaikan dengan baik, sehingga minat kehadiran khalayak pun meningkat.Kata kunci: materi promosi, festival musik, desain komunikasi visual, layout, tipografi, logo

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) have various problems, product quality, marketing and business sustain ability. Based on the background of the IbM program has issues about improving the manufacturing process and production rambak cakar that is not too long in the event of rainy weather making it more productive and effective, improving the quality of SME management and marketing strategies of production and seek opportunities to other product variations. The result is the production of tools for increasing productivity rambak dryer with drying peresentase level 60% compared with manual drying, manufacturing of SME management strategy with the creation of training modules SME management, financial planning, the simple balance of SME and marketing through the internet, so it will be more easily recognized and extensive marketing network. For product variations opportunities through market research with the results of (1) the level of public confidence in the SME products is quite high, (2) the need for improvement in brand and packaging SME with proven products that (a) the quality of SME products is not good, (b) no health insurance and ha/al happens almost all food products from SME, besides it does not yet include any food Ingredients Daily Intake and (c) the design of SME products. SME products have the potential to compete with products from non-SME, (3) need to improve the quality of products from a variety of marketing management, human resources and government support.

Abstract

IBM's activities implemented in Nusupan Wetan, Celep, Kedawung, Sragen with partners “Rejeki Agung” Ducks Farmer Group Suhardi and KTI Mandiri. The purpose of activities is to improve the income and welfare of farmers through the ability of farmers in the manufacture of concentrate ducks reducing dependency fromFeedmill.The problems is high price of duck concentrates, has not mastered the preparation of feed,not support equipment manufacture concentrate and lack of knowledge of managerial and bookkeeping. The method used is counseling, mentoring, training, making concentrate, pellet , maintenance practices ducks and mentoring activities. In this activity given mixer machine, pellet machine, oven, concentrate packaging sacks, bamboo cages and feed materials making up the duck concentrate.Results showed dedication that these activities can increase ability and skill of group farmers and productivity of duck concentrate. The day could produce 2000 kg / 10 hours with savings of not buying the concentrate from feedmill Rp.4.460.000/day. Introductions mixer and pellet machines run well. Abstract

The purpose of this program is to solve the production and management problems experienced two micro entrepreneurs who produce instant herbs and herbal drinks in Solo, namely Jamu At Tiin and Yenny’s Natural Beverages Home Industry. The production problems are limited tool resource that causes length of processing time, labor fatigue and ineffectiveness of the production process. Management problem faced by both partners is a problem of marketing their products. First partner’s products marketed through direct deposited at pharmacies around, and the second partner’s products marketed limited by waiting for customers to come to the house to buy their products. Improvements that purposed to overcome the production problems are repairing production process through providing working tools such as instant mixer and herbal grinder. Improvements on management area are with the provision of an online store website along with operational training for first partners and the provision of mobile booth as an increase in marketing tools for second partners. After service activities is carried out, obtained improved performance in the form of reduced processing time, good mixing of raw materials and the instant herbal milling process, and reduced operator fatigue due to the mixing process is done the machine. In terms of marketing, the first partner’s market area become increased, second partner’s marketing also becomes easier and more flexible.Keywords: herbal, instant mixer, grinder, online

Abstract

Background, excessive exploitation of paddy land in the long term without the addition of organic matter have resulted in soil become damaged. To meet the needs of food (rice) healthy and improve the functioning of the land, then there is no best alternative except development of organic farming systems. To be able to implement a system of organic farming, it is necessary to aplication of seed quality assurance. IbPUD activities carried out ini the village Ketapang, local village government has formed group of paddy organic farmers, but due to constraints in the available of seed rice organic . The purpose, carry out assistance to Farmers and Farmers Group in the establishment of the sources of seed organic rice and the acquisition of organic certification. The method, is Focus Group Discussion which emphasizes dialogue interpersosnal and mentoring. The program is implementing educational methods that involve the active participation of the participants from the three (3) groups of paddy organic farmers partners in Ketapang. The training was held in the form of : (1) seed rice breading management trainin, (2) training of organic rice management with the use of local waste and can be as alternative of organic fertilizers, and (3) training buines management.Results, an increasing number of farmers' groups who implement sources of seed organic rice of 4 (four) varietas (Mentik Susu, Mentik Wangi, Hitam Arang and Merah Anoman) to 3 farmer groups (15Ha). In conclusion, most members of the Farmers Group Al-Barokah have felt: (a) the benefit of the treatment of organic in terms of soil quality and the products of organic rice and its by-products, (b) an increase in value-added organic products and farmers' income, (c) the importance of maintaining paddy according to its function, (d) have become independent farmers in organic rice cultivation.Keywords: Organic farming systems, Organic certification, Interpersonal dialogue
