Jurnal ini didedikasikan untuk artikel orisinal yang diterbitkan dalam Indonesia, dan Melayu. Jurnal ini sebagai forum ilmiah Seni Rupa dan Desain. Ranah Seni: Jurnal Seni dan Desain merupakan jurnal yang dikelola oleh jurusan Seni Rupa dan jurnal terbitan ini bersifat ilmiah. Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of the study was to realize the transformation of the granary aspect in the form of surrealist-style graphic art in the background of Kerinci community culture. Rice granaries for the Kerinci community not only as a place to store rice in the past, then also have a social dimension that gives kerinci community identity and relations. The qualitative method is used in this study by relying on observation, in-depth interviews to conduct analysis that can sharpen the imagination of the graphic arts media. The results of this study concluded that the rice barn is still a cultural icon of the Kerinci community. Rice barns also have a deep meaning, can be used as a foundation to look for values ​​as a living guide for the Kerinci community so that it can be used as an example, because the philosophy of the rice granary is to teach about togetherness and cohesiveness in society. In the past the community worked together to harvest rice and collect their crops to be collected, because they already knew that saving money or collecting results meant they formed cooperation in the community so that they could help other disadvantaged citizens.

Abstract

The main problem experienced by art and culture teachers at bukittinggi junior high school is not being able to carry out fine arts learning, so that it has an impact on the achievement of students' art learning outcomes. This is caused by several factors, including; 1) in general, the art and culture teachers of Bukittinggi Public Middle School have not mastered art material, even though fine art is one of the subjects of art and culture and must be taught from class VII to class IX. 2) in general (80%) arts and culture teachers had dance and music drama education backgrounds and only 20% had art education backgrounds. 3) in general the art and culture teachers at bukittinggi junior high school have not mastered the art learning strategy. These problems need to be solved by providing training activities on art materials and learning strategies for arts and culture teachers. The aim is that teachers can master the fine arts material and learning strategies well. The results of this activity are 1) 86.84%) teachers have mastered fine art (batik) material both theory and practice, well, 2) 89.47 %% of teachers have mastered fine art learning strategies. Thus it can be concluded, that in general the art and culture teachers at bukittinggi junior high school have been able to master fine arts material and fine arts learning strategies, so that it is expected to be able to be applied in art learning in schools.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini berawal dari kenyataan di lapangan bahwa dari fakta, terlahir dari sebuah rencana industri kerajinan rumah tangga yang termasuk industri kecil dan menengah perlu lebih dibina menjadi usaha yang makin efisien dan mampu berkembang secara mandiri. Industri kerajinan rumah tangga guna meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, membuka lapangan kerja, dan makin mampu meningkatkan peranannya dalam penyediaan barang dan jasa serta berbagai komponen, baik untuk keperluan pasar dalam negeri maupun luar negeri. Hasil pengabdian memperlihatkan bahwa penggunaan benang mas sebagai medium sehingga benda berfungsi sebagai benda pakai beralih kebenda-benda hias atau souvenir/aksesoris ruang setelah diberi desain ragam hias, manik-manik, motif kaligrafi yang sulaman. Motif sulaman yang dirancang, dilakukan dengan dua teknik, yaitu: teknik “suji” dan “sulaman timbul”. Kedua teknik tersebut pada dasarnya untuk memberikan hiasan sehingga pakaian yang diberi estetika mempunyai nilai indah yang tinggi.

Abstract

Batik is one of cultural heritages of Indonesia which has been approved by UNESCO on September 30th 2009. Batik is not only art from Javanese, but it has also developed and become art of West Sumatra people. Batik in West Sumatra is known with batik from clay. Batik from Minang has uniqueness of motive, color, character and color identity and typical of complexion. Therefore, the research aimed to describe about batik art in Minang in Alam takabang gallery. This research was qualitative research using descriptive method. This research focused on:) what is form of Gadang House carving motive design in Alam takambang gallery, 2) analyzing designing process and 3) making batik in Alam Takambang Gallery. Data collecting was analyzed using qualitative analysis. The result of the research showed that motive form of batik fabric in Alam Takambang began from carving typical motive of Minangkabau. In design analysis, it was found transformation and process and it had unique change because motive in wood was made in batik fabric in new creative motive in realizing material culture from Minangkabau. Batik business in Alam Takambang Gallery used canting technique (Tulis Batik) and stamp technique in making Batik. Alam Takambang Gallery as one of businesses to introduce tradition of Batik with typical motive of West Sumatra.

Abstract

One of the material in craft subjects is craft. The problem is the craft teachers in Junior High School in Solok are generally not from a craft / art education background. Even though one of the material in craft subjects is craft. For teachers who do not have art and craft education backgrounds, it is difficult to carry out craft learning, because they do not master the material. These problems need to be solved. The solution offered to solve the above priority problems is to improve the teacher’s ability by carrying out training activities for them. This activity was done by counseling methods and training in making crafts and designing learning strategies. The results of this activity are; 1) generally, the teachers are able to make good crafts, especially making makrame and woven crafts and 2) generally, the teachers are able to design learning strategies well.

Abstract

Arts and skills / craft education is a set of knowledge that can be used by teachers to train and awaken aesthetic sensitivity so that they can experience the knowledge and experience gained in everyday life (Pakasi, 2007: 60). Thus, the results of arts education and skills are expected to increase the ability to apply, develop, and disseminate art in an effort to improve the level of social life and enrich the culture of society. Based on observations and discussions of the community service team with teachers in the fields of Fine Arts and Skills in several Pariaman City Middle Schools (December 12, 2018) that, most teachers do not teach skills learning. That is, demands for competency standards, especially learning of skills do not run accordingly. While the framework for developing curriculum for Junior High School / Madrasah Tsanawiyah workshops must be directed at developing skills at the level of manipulation (modification) aimed at producing multi-design products from both basic material types and product forms based on the potential of local wisdom. One of the efforts that can be done is to help teachers of arts and culture and skills to develop insights and skills in learning crafts, namely Weaving Card Crafts with various types of materials and techniques for products of disposable objects and art objects. This card weaving craft training is packaged in the Community Partnership Program (PKM) which is very useful for art and skills teachers to be taught to students according to the demands of the 2013 curriculum "to appreciate and be able to make local-based handicraft works", because not all students are able continuing higher education, they must be equipped with skills in school.

Spesifikasi target luaran berupa jasa adalah minimal 70% materi: (1) menggambar teknik pull thread, inkblot, dan toot/blowing, dan (2) penilaian hasil belajar menggambar teknik pull thread, inkblot, dan toot/blowing dikuasai oleh peserta IbM. Spesifikasi target luaran berupa produk adalah dihasilkan: (1) Media presentasi menggambar teknik pull thread, inkblot, dan toot/blowing.(2) Media presentasi penilaian hasil belajar menggambar teknik pull thread, inkblot, dan toot/blowing. (3) Masing-masing satu model gambar teknik pull thread, inkblot, dan toot/blowing. (4) Model penilaian hasil belajar menggambar teknik pull thread, inkblot, dan toot/blowing. (5) Gambar teknik pull thread, inkblot, dan toot/blowing dari masing-masing peserta. (6) Rubrik penilaian hasil belajar menggambar teknik pull thread, inkblot, dan toot/blowing dari masing-masing peserta. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan metode: (1) Rancangbangun model dan media presentasi, (2) Penyuluhan dan diskusi, (3) Pelatihan/Workshop/Praktikum, dan (4) Pameran. Target pencapaian tersebut sudah dapat dicapai.

Abstract

Abstract One of the material in the Culture and Craft Arts curriculum at Elementary Schoolis fine arts and crafts. Teachers at Campago Ipuh Elementary SchoolMandiangin Koto Selayan Bukittinggi had problems in learning. Teachers in Elementary Schools have not been able to carry out art and craft learning, in terms of this learning inElementary Schools is the most effective means for the formation of personal children. This is because, besides not having a special educational background in fine arts and crafts, there are other reasons; the teacher does not master art and craft material. Based on the above problems, sothe priority problems to be solved were related to the mastery of material learning in arts and crafts, with the formulation of the problem being; the lack of the teacher’s abilityinElementary SchoolCampago Ipuh Mandiangin Koto Selayan Bukittinggi inmasteringart and craft materials. Therefore,an activity is carried out which thepurpose is to improve the ability of teachers in learning arts and crafts at Elementary SchoolCampago Ipuh Mandiangin Koto Selayan Bukittinggi. Solutionof these problems is done by counseling, training, and mentoring. The results of this activity are 1) in general,Elementary School teachers have mastered fine art material (reliefprint) well, 2) in general,Elementary School teachers have mastered craft material (makrame craft) well.

Abstract

Masalah prioritas ditetapkan atas aspek: (1) Pengetahuan dan keterampilan mengolah warna, dan (2) teknik-teknik menggambar dengan cat air. Pemecahan masalah dilakukan dengan pendekatan: rancang bangun model, penyuluhan, dan pelatihan. Hasilnya, Guru SDN 01 dan SDN 02 Ulak Karang Selatan Padang telah: (1) Menguasai konsep dan proses pengetahuan mengolah warna. Sebanyak 77,89% materi telah dikuasai peserta, dan telah diterapkannya dalam bentuk karya lingkaran warna. (2) Menguasai materi teknik-teknik menggambar dengan cat air. Peserta telah menguasai materi sebanyak 72,26%, dan setiap peserta telah menghasilkan gambar dengan teknik cat air pilihannnya.

Abstract

This study discusses the form of political battles that will be held in 2019, which are represented in the form of political memes. As a form of battle, the campaign team from each camp all members involved in the campaign team always have different strategies. For example, the Jokowi-Maaruf team puts forward a defensive strategy, they prefer to explain and clarify all forms of criticism made by the Prabowo-Sandi (PAS) team. Therefore, the visual memes made by Jokowi-Maaruf's team explained more about Jokowi's achievements during his tenure as president which manifest in visual meme that perform in visual communication media such as comics, infographics and posters. Likewise with the Prabowo-Sandi team, the strategies used are more likely to be the style of "attacking" opposing camps, as seen from the many criticisms about the failure of Jokowi's administration during his presidential term. This can be seen from the many visuals meme of scattered in the online community through media as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and whatsapp groups. This phenomenon shows that the importance of visual meme in political campaign strategies. However, as a campaign strategy, the process of creating visual memes is basically an attempt at framing and branding of each candidate, where each camp can show the advantages and hide the disadvantage of each presidential or vice presidential candidate through visual meme. Visual meme actually tries to simplify complexity of reality, with presenting one side but try to hide the other side.
