Abstract

The results of the PISA test which measures students' Mathematics skills place Indonesian students in the bottom 5th position, 73rd out of 79 participating countries with an achievement score of 379 which is certainly below the OECD average of 489. Students still think of Mathematics as a subject lesson that are quite difficult. This assumption arises due to experiences that have been obtained before in the process of learning mathematics which is less fun for students. The learning process is largely determined by the learning theory mastered by educators. As a professional, educators must have knowledge of various ways so that learning objectives can be achieved. The basic knowledge that must be possessed is related to learning theory. One of the learning theories that educators can use is the humanistic learning theory. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of humanistic learning theory in an open-ended approach to the mathematics learning process in elementary schools. Using the library research method, it was found that open ended research utilizes humanistic learning theory in its development, which is illustrated in the four steps of the open-ended approach

Abstract

Rice production in North Sumatra Province from January to December 2021 reached approximately 2 million tons of GKG, or a decrease of around 36.36 thousand tons of GKG (1.78 percent) compared to 2020. The decline in rice production also had an impact on the level of rice productivity and also had an impact on rice production. In the economic sector, it is necessary to classify rice productivity in order to support the increase in future rice production in North Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the classification of district/city rice productivity using the Naïve Bayes method. This study uses 20 districts/cities as training data and 12 districts/cities as testing data. From the test results, 6 regencies/cities are classified with high level and 26 regencies/cities are classified with low level. The accuracy results obtained are 75% where this accuracy is a fairly good result in classification

Abstract

The cognitive aspect of arithmetic ability is a necessary aspect for students that deserves attention. This is because arithmetic cognitive ability is a tool that children will use in facing life. In addition, arithmetic cognitive ability is a basic ability for a child to solve everyday problems and is a tool for further education. Snakes and ladders can be adopted as a learning aid for kindergarten children to improve their counting ability. Teachers can consider using snakes and ladders as a teaching method, as it is considered effective for kindergartners who still have a play instinct. The purpose of this research is to understand the effectiveness of the snakes and ladders learning tool in improving children's counting ability. This research was conducted using qualitative and descriptive methodologies. The population and sample were taken from Group B of Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Bumi Mulyo Kindergarten with a total of 16 students. Data collection was done through several ways such as observation, interview, and documentation. The data obtained was then analyzed using several steps, namely; data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the use of the snakes and ladders tool can help improve arithmetic ability in Group B students of Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal Bumi Mulyo Kindergarten in the 2021/2022 academic year

Abstract

The Financial performance before and after the IPO of several companies has not been stable, some have increased or decreased. This research aims to analyze the company's financial performance before and after the Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019. The population in this study were companies that conducted Initial Public Offerings (IPO) listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2019 totaling 55 company. Samples that meet the criteria in this study amounted to 5 companies using the purposive sampling method. The data analysis method used in this research is the Paired Sample t-test. The ratios used as variables in the research are Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Total Assets Turnover (TATO) and Return on Assets (ROA). The results of the study using the Paired Sample t-test showed that there was no significant difference in the company's financial performance before and after the IPO based on the ratio of CR, DER, TATO and ROA

Abstract

This research is a development research with the aim of this research is to obtain HOTS-based mathematics textbooks that are valid and suitable for use and can support students' mathematical abilities, one of which is high-order thinking skills. The 2013 curriculum emphasizes modern pedagogical dimensions in learning, namely using a scientific approach. The research method used is development research or known as R&D (research and development). R & D model used is Borg and Gall which includes the following stages: preliminary study, design, product development. The final stage of Borg and Gall's R&D research method is implementation. Researchers used the modified results of the Borg and Gall R&D research method due to limited research time and ineffective pandemic conditions for maximum implementation, as evidenced in a limited trial of Limited face to facelearning to one class XI SMA in Pandeglang only about 20% responded. The teaching materials developed are in the form of learning modules for SMA and SMK levels. The results of this study can be concluded that the developed book products meet the very good criteria of each category. In other words, the developed book product is said to be valid and suitable for use

Abstract

This research is motivated by the majority of students in junior high school think Mathematics is a very difficult subject. The term number sense was introduced to refer to mathematical abilities where number sense has psychological and sociological factors where on average women show greater anxiety than men in mathematics. The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of the YouTube-based peer tutoring method in improving the number sense ability of students in class VII SMP Daar El Qolam 1,2,3 and 4 Kab. Tangerang. This type of research is experimental with a research population of 600 students. Sampling using cluster purposive sampling technique as many as 97 students consisting of 46 male students and 51 female students. Data collection is done by using NST measuring instrument. The data analysis technique used a paired sample t-test, (N-Gain), and a different t-test. The research findings show that there is a difference in the average value of number sense ability before and after the youtube-based peer tutoring method is carried out, for the results of the N-Gain analysis, it is found that the effectiveness of the youtube-based peer tutoring method in improving number sense skills is in the low category. There is no difference in the number sense ability of students in terms of gender differences in Daar El Qolam Middle School

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the application of the Mind Mapping learning model on students' mathematical problem-solving ability and students' attitudes towards the Mind Mapping learning model. The research sample consisted of 30 students from the experimental class and 30 students from the control class who came from the population of SMPN 1 Pandeglang. The research method used is a type of experiment. Using the Independent Sample t-test assuming both homogeneous variances (equal variance assumed) with a significance level of 0.05 at the time of the initial test, a significance value on significance (2-tailed) was 0.432 > 0.05 that between the experimental and control classes no significant differences were found. In the final test it was obtained that the significance (2-tailed) was 0.003 > 0.05 thus receiving H1 that the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who used the Mind Mapping learning model was better than students who got the conventional learning model. Continued the results of processing attitude data using the One Sample T-Test with a significance level of 0.05 and tested by one party, namely the right party test, it was obtained that the p-valued value = 0.00 < α = 0.05, then H0: μ0 = 3.00 was rejected and Ha: μ0 > 3.00 was accepted, so it can be concluded that students are positive towards the use of the Mind Mapping learning model in mathematics learning is more than 3. (1) students' mathematical problem-solving skills using the Mind Mapping learning model are better than conventional learning. (2) students are positive about learning mathematics by using the Mind Mapping learning model.

Abstract

In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government established a blended learning model as a learning solution. May encounter difficulties in its application, requiring identification of these difficulties to study effectively. The purpose of this study was to find out the internal and external variables that affect students which are the most significant causes of learning difficulties in blended learning material in linear program material in the mathematics study program at Pamulang University. Factor analysis the confirmatory factor analysis model was used in this study. The research sample consisted of 180 students of the Mathematics Study Program at Pamulang University who took linear program courses. Questionnaires and documents are used to collect data. The results of the study are: 1) there are five internal factors that cause learning problems in a blended learning system in linear program material, with learning ability being one of the five biggest contributing factors which has an Eigenvalue of 5.402 and a variance value of 33 ,7%. 2) associates, having an Eigenvalue of 5.336 and a variance value of 38.3%, is one of the four external variables that create learning problems in a blended learning system in linear programming material. Based on the findings of this study, it can be concluded that the internal factor, namely the learning ability factor, is the most significant source of learning difficulties faced by students in the blended learning system and the external factor is the social friend factor

Abstract

Using digital technology is an effective way to improve the quality of learning. One of the digital technologies that can be used in learning is the Flipbook E-Module. This study aims to design an e-module that is following the cultural characteristics of students and the mathematics material in the Class XI SMK Curriculum 2013, namely geometric transformation. This research uses the ADDIE R&D model (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate), which only includes three steps due to time constraints in product creation and validation. The results of e-module flipbooks based on Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) on geometry transformation materials equipped with the use of GeoGebra as an innovative use of teaching materials following technological developments. Based on the validation by media experts and material experts on the e-module flipbook on geometry transformation material, scores of 90,7 and 90,3 were obtained, indicating that the e-module was very feasible to use in learning transformation geometry.
