Abstract

Abstract: Learning outcomes are something that students achieve or obtain after following the learning process based on certain criteria in measuring the achievement of the learning objectives themselves. Based on the data of students studying grade XII IPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Metro in the odd midterm assessment of the 2018/2019 school year obtained an average score of 67 students with only 38.5% of students who were able to exceed KKM. With the number of students consisting of 26 students only 10 students who get grades above KKM. This is still lower than the expected minimum completion criteria of 75. The low learning outcomes are influenced by many factors including the use of improper learning models. One of the models that can improve students' learning outcomes is the Discovery Learning model. The purpose of this study is to improve students' math learning outcomes by using the Discovery Learning model. The percentage of students who scored ≥ 75 in cycles I, II and III was 50%, 69%, and 81% with grade average scores of 70, 72, and 77. This data shows that learning outcomes have been achieved based on the achievement indicator set, which is 75% of students get a score of ≥ 75. So the results of this study show that the learning model of Discovery Learning can improve the results of mathematics learning students of grade XII IPA 1 SMA Negeri 4 Metro.

Abstract

Abstract: Sharia Bank Return On Assets (ROA) modeling in Indonesia in 2018 aims to analyze the relationship pattern of Return On Assets (ROA) with interest rates. The analysis that is often used for modeling is regression analysis. Regression analysis is divided into two, namely parametric and nonparametric. The most commonly used nonparametric regression methods are kernel and spline regression. In this study, the nonparametric regression used was kernel regression with the Nadaraya-Watson (NWE) estimator and Local Polynomial (LPE) estimator, while the spline regression was smoothing spline and B-splines. The fitting curve results show that the best model is the B-splines regression model with a degree of 3 and the number of knots 5. This is because the B-splines regression model has a smooth curve and more closely follows the distribution of data compared to other regression curves. The B-splines regression model has a determination coefficient of R^2 of 74.92%, meaning that the amount of variation in the ROA variable described by the B-splines regression model is 74.92%, while the remaining 25.8% is explained by other variables not included in the model.

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this study is that the mathematical problem solving ability of class X SMA Negeri 1 Gedung Tataan has not been maximized. The SQ4R model as an alternative solution is used, therefore the purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the Survey, Question, Read, Recite, Review, Reflect (SQ4R) model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of X grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Gedung Tataan. This study uses a quasi-experimental method, as well as data analysis using parametric statistics. The population in this study were all students of Class X SMA Negeri 1 Gedung Tataan which consisted of 10 classes, while the sample was taken 2 classes, namely Class X-2 as the experimental class and Class X-3 as the control class. The sample was taken using the Cluster Random Sampling technique. To find out the students' mathematical problem solving ability, it is measured by a test in the form of an essay with 5 questions. From the results of hypothesis testing using the statistical formula t-test, the value of t = 6.14 is obtained. From the t distribution table at a significant level of 5%, it is known that t = t_((1-α)) = 2.00, which means that t > t is 6.14 > 2.00, so it can be concluded that "There is an effect of the Survey model, Question , Read, Recite, Review, Reflect (SQ4R) on the mathematical problem solving abilities of Class X students in the even semester of SMA Negeri 1 Gedung Tataan”. This situation can also be seen from the average value of students' mathematical problem solving abilities where the experimental class has an average value of 78.63 and the control class has an average value of 55.5.
