Abstract

Marketing communication strategies through labeling and packaging of processed food products are very important in improving the quality of the product results. Therefore, it needs special attention from various parties, from the government, private sector, and universities. Coastal communities are often associated with poor people who have complex problems. Besides being economically poor, they are socially marginalized, and forgotten in function and dignity. Furthermore, the education level of coastal communities is mostly still low. It is an ironic thing as education is essential because, with empowerment, the community will increase the capacity of individuals and groups. One of the coastal communities in Sidoarjo District is the fishing community in Bluru Kidul Village, Sidoarjo Sub-district, Sidoarjo District. One of the solutions to increase the income of fishermen's families is the participation of women in the fishing industry is seeking additional income. Therefore, clam meatballs in this village have the potentials to be developed. Still, due to limited human resources capabilities, especially knowledge in creating and developing home industry and marketing businesses, the clam meatballs home industry business in Buru Kidul Village, Sidoarjo Sub-district, Sidoarjo District cannot grow well, especially during this COVID-19 pandemic.

Abstract

The nation's generation is a pillar or pillar of the country's future development. Ensuring the education of the nation's generation means seeking superior seed breeding for future development. Early childhood or Kindergarten age is an age group that in terms of education is easy to form. Early age is a golden age, where at this time children's brain development develops very rapidly. This period is also critical in the development of children. This event occurs once in a human's lifetime. Therefore, at this time children must be stimulated so that their development becomes optimal, for the sake of their future. One of the ways to provide stimulation is through education. The importance of children's education from an early age is also based on Law no. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System, which states that early childhood education is one of the coaching efforts aimed at children from birth to 6 years which is carried out through the provision of educational stimuli to help physical and spiritual growth and development so that children have readiness in entering further education level (Article 1 point 14). With the education of national insight, it is hoped that later the children will grow into generations of nations who love their country and homeland. On the other hand, if children are not equipped with strong national insight values, in the future they will be very vulnerable to being "colonized" by various external factors.

Abstract

Tourist destinations, particularly in a village, need to attract attention to become magnetite for domestic and foreign tourists. Tebel Village then imaged it as an education and literacy village to authenticate its role as a tourist village. At some points, the village has made reading spots and educational areas. Perversely, due to funding and human resources constraints, not all areas are well designed. The playground area located in front of the river is not well planned. The existing murals are not sustainable and tend to be poorly maintained. One of the attempts to enhance the quality and character of this tourist environment is through a comprehensive design, both from architecture and visual communication design. This community assistance is a design applied to the playground area and gets a good response from society. This project is designated to reinforce the identity of the tourist village in Kampung Bendo, Tebel, as a village that prioritizes elements of literacy and education as a tourist spectacle.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has not yet ended. In fact, the situation is getting worse with many people being exposed, millions of people are confirmed positive for COVID-19 and it continues to grow every day, both from medical personnel, state civil apparatus and other public services. As an effort to prevent the spread and exposure of COVID-19, the Government of Indonesia has issued policies to stop the rate of increase in Covid-19 cases, one of which is the policy of making a health protocol for the 5M movement (Washing hand, Wearing Mask, physical distancing, Avoiding crowds and Reducing mobility). However, there are still many people who do not comply with the health protocol. This can be found in tourist sites, such as the Wonorejo Mangrove Ecotourism. To assist the government in suppressing the rate of increase in Covid-19 cases, it takes a unique and unusual media in conveying the importance of disciplined behavior in implementing 5M, one of which is through ambient media design. Ambient media is considered an effective medium to convey the message of the importance of disciplined behavior in implementing 5M and is then expected to contribute positively to the development of similar tourist areas. For this reason, research is carried out on the design of ambient media that is attractive to the public, especially tourist visitors. The results of this study are expected to produce ambient media that can attract the public so that education about the importance of disciplined behavior in implementing 5M can be carried out effectively. The method used is a qualitative research method. The data is obtained in non-numbers, but it could be in text, documents, pictures, photos, artefacts, or other objects found during the research. The research process includes the collection of primary and secondary data. Primary data consists of observation, documentation and semi-structured interviews with tourist visitors, while secondary data uses references and literature. The final result of the research is to produce ambient media that can convey messages to the public about the importance of disciplined behavior in implementing 5M effectively.

Abstract

The purpose of the Community Service Program for the Utilization of Science and Technology for the Community (PIKAT) is to provide training and assistance to the "Rojo Mino" Pond Farmers Association Partner Group, which produces processed milkfish. Because all this time, what partners have done with milkfish ponds only sell milkfish products directly without further processing. For this reason, to increase local potential, it is necessary to provide counseling to partners. Based on this, the Community Service Program for the Utilization of Science and Technology for the Community (PIKAT) was carried out to partners to improve knowledge and skills of milkfish processing through training and assistance in making milkfish processed products, financial management of their business, and providing knowledge and enlightenment in strategic management in marketing products with an online system. From the results of this counseling, it was found that the productivity produced by partners in processing milkfish into cracker snack products began to increase in sales. The marketing network that is carried out is increasingly widespread. Thus, the local potential generated by the "Rojo Mino" Pond Farmers Association Partner Group increases.

Abstract

UMKM is a small and informal business organization that drives the national economy. However, the COVID-19 pandemic had an impact on the sustainability of the UMKM creative industry business in the Gubeng District, Surabaya City. This business has a great opportunity because consumers prefer to make purchases online due to the implementation of social distancing. The problem faced by local UMKM is that product marketing still uses conventional methods by offering limited products only to friends and the closest environment or by word of mouth so that during the social distancing period, it hampers the reach of marketing its products. For this reason, this service program conducts online marketing training and assistance to 20 participants with one of the marketplaces that are well known to the public, namely the shop platform. The service program had a positive effect, around 60% can apply Shopee activation and the other 40% have not been able to apply, this is because most of the participants are Generation X mothers who are less familiar with information technology. However, all participants were very enthusiastic about learning even though many were constrained by the PPKM (Restrictions on Community Activities) regulations.
