Abstract

Trenggalek Regency has a lot of natural potential, which if got intensive touch from certain parties: Government of regency/department, related institutions, Universities through research and community service, it is possible to be able to change progress in the area of the district of Trenggalek. Example of various potentials in the village Dompyong Bendungan district, which most of the community is dairy farmers, in addition to farming cassava, corn, and vegetable crops. If these potentials get more serious attention then it is possible to change the lifestyle of a more virtuous community in improving the welfare of the community in Dompyong village. But because of the limited quality of human resources, it raises many obstacles in optimizing all the potential that exists in this village. These constraints include social, economic, cultural, and inadequate road infrastructure. Dompyong Village, Bendungan Subdistrict, Trenggalek Regency is one of the national priority villages that need to get more attention from various parties, in an effort to improve people's welfare. The objective of the activities of KKN Bela Negara Desa Prioritas Nasional is to see the potential of the village, the problems faced by the community, how to overcome the problems, and to plan the development actions in order to what efforts should be done based on the potential in Dompyong village and the target to community empowerment through dairy milk based business, post-harvest process and product, waterfall tourism development, and development of Van Dillem coffee based business. The activities of KKN Bela Negara Desa Prioritas Nasional in Dompyong Village, Bendungan District were conducted on 17-31 July 2017; and in the first year identified the following problems: (1) The intention and spirit of society that is still unstable in developing dairy cows based business and in developing SME’s (Small Medium Enterprise) based on cassava, (2) Network marketing is still weak so that hamper productivity, (3) The absence of supporting facilities in every tourist location, (4) The absence of village tourist information center, (5) Not yet integrated the various tourist sites, (6) Low public awareness in supporting the tourist village, (7) The absence of aggressive promotion of SME’s Van Dillem coffee, and (8) Infrastructure roads that are less supportive in the development of SME’s based on the existing potential in the village Dompyong. Therefore, in the second year (2018), so there is a strategy effort in overcoming those problems.

Abstract

Counseling and training of the Abdimas Program is an application of research results to make various fish products based on fish as an alternative high nutritious food products and a chance to be developed in Gang Dolly residents Surabaya to increase revenue. The method used in facilitating the improvement of fish processing skills in the area of Gang Dolly Surabaya is to conduct training with training methods are: lecture method, practice method and advisory methods for the sustainability of business activities and marketing results. The existing objective condition is that the low productivity of fishery producers produced during this time is more due to the weakness of human resources in the field of management, less professional organization, lack of mastery of processing technology and weak information and marketing, and the low quality of entrepreneurship from business actors. For this purpose, the training was conducted by the mothers of Putat Jaya (Gang Dolly) residents in making crackers from Manyung fish.In the field of economy or business, fish manyung is an economical fish that is important as a consumption fish that can be used as a money-producing material. Compared with the tengiri fish that are widely used as fish crackers, manyung fish is more promising to make money because the price of manyung fish is relatively cheaper than fish tengiri. And certainly the protein content in manyung fish is very high.

Abstract

Increasing the quality of salt can be done through various methods such as washing of salt by saturated salt solution, re-crystallization or twice crystallization, ion exchange methods and others. In the process of salt quality improvement by re-crystallization method where salt product diluted with water to form saturated solution and re-crystallized through heating process. The re-crystallization method can be done by chemicals or without chemical added. In this research is proposed a concept that before the saturated salt solution is re-crystallized needed chemicals added for removal of the impurities such as magnesium ion (Mg), calcium (Ca), potassium (K) and sulfate (SO4) is contained in a saturated salt solution. The chemical reagents that used are sodium hydroxide (NaOH) 2 N and sodium carbonate (Na2CO3) 2 N. This research aims to study effectiveness of sodium hydroxide and sodium carbonate on the impurities removal of magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), potassium (K) and sulfate (SO4). Based on research results found that the addition of sodium hydroxide solution can be decreased the impurity ions of magnesium (Mg) 95.2%, calcium ion (Ca) 45%, while the addition of sodium carbonate solution can decreased magnesium ion (Mg) 66.67% and calcium ion (Ca) 77.5%, but both types of materials are not degradable sulfate ions (SO4). The sodium hydroxide solution more effective to decrease magnesium ion than sodium carbonate solution, and the sodium carbonate solution more effective to decrease calcium ion than sodium hydroxide solution.

Abstract

Simulation of batch distillation binary systems using matlab programming language, which results in the appearance of the graph using a spreadsheet tool, less effective and efficient, so it is necessary for the visualization of object-oriented programming language, in addition to easy to be developed at a time when that will come, it has other benefits, in a device project software can use a variety of programming language that supports object-oriented programming, such as C#.Net and VB.Net. This research aims to display the batch distillation simulation of visual binary systems using Mat lab programming. Ethanol-water azeotropic binary system examples and Acetone-Butanol, Acetone-Ethanol, Butanol-Ethanol zeotropic binary system examples, simulation of batch distillation with rigorous method using a model Differential-Algebraic-Equations (DAEs), where liquid vapor equilibrium in batch distillation process from cellulose (Bamboo) with Antoine equation. Profile of liquida composition and vapor composition function dimensionless can be displayed directly from the desktop, to have the azeotropic binary system value profile activity coefficient is not equal to one, while the binary system zeotropic approaching one. Profile of liquida composition and vapor composition maximum from binary system azeotropic is 0.98, while for the binary system zeotropic approaching one. Economically using Mat lab language faster, time efficiency and better performance profile.

Abstract

Sperm analysis is a preliminary examination performed on male infertility cases, one of which is determining normal and abnormal motility, performed by the expert. This sperm analysis can also be done automatically with computer-assisted, that is by taking per-frame sperm video then done segmentation process. In the process of segmentation there are some constraints such as video data taken has different intensity, so it takes some segmentation method. This study compares the process of Morphology and Local Adaptive Threshold (LAT) process, with the same preprosessing process using Otsu segmentation, so that from some segmented sperm video frame data will be known which segmentation should be used. From the result of the research, it is found that the intensity of light in the sperm frame is analyzed evenly, morphology can be used and if the sperm image in uneven intensity analysis will be more effective using Local Adaptive Threshold (LAT), thus to perform better feature extraction, but from some frames of sperm that were randomly tested obtained more accuracy using morphology process that is 82% compared to using local adaptive threshold process that is only 52%.

Abstract

Land degradation has become a global issue of the world, which leads to critical land conditions. If the distribution of critical land agriculture can be known, it will make it easier to formulate sustainable land use. This research was conducted in Welang Watershed, Pasuruan. The data attribute table of some combination of the results of the evaluation parameters of the land evaluation. In general, constraints on land criticality are identified as redox value and high number of microbes as the dominant parameter of land damage standard. In units of vegetable garden use for various uses such as for the cultivation of cabbage, potatoes and carrots, while mixed gardens on land criticality have a class of ability III for uncritical land and a critical potential to be somewhat critical of having an IV capability class, with annual crops for example coffee, cloves and durian. The classification of soil fertility capabilities in the vegetable garden land use unit as a whole has a high cation exchange capacity. Assessment of land suitability on the condition of vegetable garden and mixed garden land at various level of land criticality and adjusting to the desire of the farmer appears for vegetable crop only cabbage, potato and carrot for which farmers want while for plant mixture of coffee, clove and durian which appear in highland region . Farmer awareness and government intervention are expected to improve farmers' living standards from the agricultural sector while maintaining sustainable land for sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Sendang was a village of Subdistrict Penanggungan Trawas Mojokerto, that has ground water source. However, with its rapidly increasing population growth, it made bad impact for the quality of water resources. Disposal of garbage and animal husbandry activities that were above the water source, has a contribution as a polluter of water resources. Escherichia coli was an important parameter as an indication of contamination of ground water or potable water. By providing knowledge and technology for the people of Sendang, helped them to get ground water. Photolysis technology applied in Sendang was a disinfection technology. The process kills bacteria by using ultra violet light. The energy used to power the ultra violet light is derived from solar energy. Solar Cell used to capture solar energy which is then stored into the dry battery (batteries) to provide energy in ultra violet light. So the villagers are not burdened by the cost of electricity for this technology. Disinfectant process by using photolysis technology could removal E. coli bacteria till 75 % for 80 minutes. Removal of E. coli increased by exposure of Ultra violet on long time. "Applying Technology to Solve Water Shortage Photolysis Clean countryside" in Sendang Village Penanggungan District of Trawas Mojokerto, done in KKN PPM activities. KKN PPM was a joint activity between students, villagers, lecturers and youth in the village. The application of photolysis technology can benefit the surrounding community
