Abstract

The impact that occurs on learning in every school is greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This study reveals how the learning situation during the pandemic at the Madrasah Darussalam Foundation, Gunung Tua Paluta. In this study, the method used is a qualitative research method with this method intended to find more factual data in the field for further analysis. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze grammatical errors on EFL students’ conversation practice. The participants of this study were the fourth term students of Indonesia Institute of Technology and Business, 2020/2021 academic year. The participants taken as the object of this study because after observation in the students’ class found that there were some mistakes on the students’ speech when doing the conversation in English. The population of this study was from English Training class consisted of four parallel classes Semester IV with the total number of the students was 95 students. Purposive sampling technique was used in this study. This study was conducted by using descriptive qualitative research. The data was words, phrases, and sentences which uttered by the students and writing all non-verbal linguistic that students do on their conversation practice. The data was analyzed based on a classification of errors proposed by Dulay, Burt, and Krashen (1982 in Ellis and Barkhuizen, 2005) called Surface Strategy Taxonomy is applied. The errors in students’ speech were classified by using surface structure taxonomy namely misformation, misorder, addition, and omission. The findings of this study show that omission is the most dominant error produced by participants with the percentage 41.30%. It is followed by misformation with total cases 28.26%, addition with total cases 21.73%, and the last followed by misordering with total cases 8.69%.

Abstract

Manusia tidak akan pernah bisa terlepas dengan teknologi. Hampir semua aktivitas yang dilakukan oleh manusia berbasis teknologi. Perkembangan teknologi membawa suatu perubahan bagi kehidupan manusia. Salah satunya yaitu dalam bidang pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan terkait peran teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran serta cara menumbuhkan jiwa kreativitas siswa melalui pemanfaatan teknologi dalam proses pembelajaran. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kepustakaan (Library Research). Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan menggunakan sumber referensi dari buku, artikel, serta jurnal yang relevan dengan penelitian tersebut. Analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dengan menggunakan sajian data dan simpulan. Hasil kajian yang diperoleh oleh peneliti yaitu secara garis besar teknologi mempunyai peran yang sangat penting. Terutama dalam proses pembelajaran. Keberhasilan dalam proses pembelajaraan saat ini dilihat dari maksimalnya seorang guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi yang dijadikan sebagai salah satu strategi yang tepat. Penggunaan media tidak lain dapat menarik perhatian siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Meskipun pembelajaran dilakukan secara virtual. Namun adanya teknologi tidak mengurangi rasa ketertarikan siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Hal ini disebabkan teknologi mampu memberikan suatu hal yang baru bagi siswa. Terutama dalam hal memperoleh ilmu pengetahuan. Di sisi lain pemanfaatan teknologi tidak hanya membantu siswa dalam memaksimalkan proses pembelajaran melainkan dapat membantu siswa dalam menumbuhkembangkan jiwa kekreativitasan yang dimilikinya.

Abstract

Marketing of educational services is a strategy undertaken by the agency in improving human resources are in an institution, with the aim to improve the image of the institution of quality education and can compete with other educational institutions, as well as able to boost high competitiveness. This also shows that competition in the world of education is unavoidable, seeing that many educational institutions have been abandoned by their customers so that in recent years there have been mergers between educational institutions. Besides, the ability of administrators is a prerequisite in maintaining and improving educational institutions. Based on this, there are several problems that must be achieved by Islamic educational institutions, especially schools to market the services of these educational institutions with the aim of Islamic educational institutions being more widely known among the public as consumers of educational services.

Abstract

Al-Ittihadiyah is one of the largest and oldest Islamic organizations in Indonesia. Born on January 27, 1935 ago, Al-Ittihadiyah played an important role in the movement of Muslims, both in education, social, da'wah, and politics. Using a qualitatively descriptive approach as well as referring to primary literartur, this paper aims to determine the modernization of Islamic education at AL-Ittihadiyah educational institutions which include objectives, curriculum and education methods Al-Ittihadiyah. In addition, this paper also explains how the role of Al-Ittihadiyah in social, political, economic and religious fields. The results showed that the education institution presence of Al-Ittihadiyah is very influential in the community, it is shown from the many educational institutions Al-Ittihadiyah ranging from public schools, Madrasah, to the college Scattered throughout the archipelago that has produced many alumni and each of them has been instrumental in the midst of society

Abstract

This study aims to describe the snowball throwing learning model to increase student activity and learning outcomes. In this study, the method used was an experimental type using a quasi-experimental approach. Data collection techniques with the help of questionnaires, tests and documentation. To test the data analysis using the normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing. The results of the study showed that there was a stimulus to student learning activity that was influenced by the Snowball Throwing learning model. It was indicated by an increase in the active category of 65.6%. Active learning using the Snowball Throwing model Also shows the very active category in the experimental class with a percentage of 95.6%. Learning with the Snowball Throwing method also affects the value of learning outcomes, there is an increase in the value from the category that does not meet the KKM score to a good category in meeting the KKM score. Based on the t-test obtained with a value of 7.424 > t-table 2.001, it shows that the Snowball Throwing learning model has contributed to the effectiveness and learning outcomes of students in class VIII Mts 1 PAB Helvetia, Deli Serdang Regency.

Abstract

Distance learning is a solution during the COVID-19 pandemic to overcome the anxiety of teaching and learning activities that do not return as usual. This study provides a description of how distance learning is implemented, the obstacles faced and the solutions that are tried to be offered to distance learning implementers. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach, The data collection technique is triangulation (observation, interview and documentation study). The results of the study indicate that learning by using the Zoom, WhatsApp, Google Meet and Google Classroom applications has not been able to guarantee effectiveness in distance learning. Constraints experienced such as the internet network, less interesting learning materials, and boredom. The solution that is trying to be offered is by conducting digital innovation based on e-learning. Updating using e-learning, so that learning can be controlled, supervised by the campus. Activities that are e-learning can also provide new innovations for the world of digital-based education. So that proficiency in technology for databases can be implemented.

Abstract

This entrepreneurial spirit is seen as a character trait that has personal strength in facing the challenges of the world. The purpose of the research is to make students as entrepreneurs who are expected to be able to become the driving force of the nation's progress. The entrepreneurial spirit possessed by students is a mental attitude and soul that is always active and creative, and strives to increase income from its business activities and help advance the nation's economy. There are 6 core values of entrepreneurship that can be integrated into early childhood learning, namely: independent, creative, risk-taking, leadership, action-oriented, and hard work. This study uses qualitative research. The research was conducted at SDN Keumuneng Hulu Kab. East Aceh, Nanggoroeh Aceh Darussalam Province. The research subjects were students in grades 1 to 6 of elementary schools, principals, teachers, parents/guardians of students, and the surrounding community. The data collection techniques used in this study were: interviews, observation, and documentation. This market day activity was carried out by dividing students into ten groups with 14-15 students in 1 group accompanied by 2 coordinating teachers. Each group gets different preparations or sales including, Fruits, vegetables, cheese, yogurt, milk, processed chicken, fish, cheese, processed pudding, tubers and juice. In addition, students must have an attractive and attractive sales stand.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model on science process skills in biology learning. This research was conducted at MTs Aisyiyah Binjai in the academic year 2020/2021, and this research was conducted at the end of May to June 2021. The type of research carried out was descriptive quantitative research. In sampling the researchers took two classes, namely the experimental class with 32 students using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model and the control class with 32 students. The research method was carried out by preparing research instruments, namely observation sheets and student worksheets, validating instruments with 2 validators, namely North Sumatra State Islamic University lecturers and data collection was carried out by direct observation using observation sheet guidelines to see students' science process skills. The population in this study were all biology students of class VIII MTs Aisyiyah Binjai. Based on the research conducted, it shows the influence of students' science process skills using the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) learning model. Judging from the results of data processing science process skills students in the experimental class with a percentage of 74% while in the control class with a percentage of only 41%. So that the KPS value of students in the experimental class is higher than the control class.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce a Children's Activity Sheet based on local cultural diversity, especially Aceh. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the development model used according to Borg and Gall. The instrument used to measure the validity aspect of the Children's Activity Sheet is an assessment questionnaire by material experts, media experts, and linguists. The results showed that the Children's Activity Sheet was suitable to be used as teaching material, this was based on the assessment score obtained through the assessment score from the material expert getting a percentage of 83.33% with appropriate criteria, the assessment score from a linguist getting a percentage of 80% with the criteria feasible, and the assessment score from media experts gets a percentage of 93.18% with appropriate criteria. In the field trial, the percentage of attractiveness of the Children's Activity Sheet got a percentage of 93.75% with proper criteria. Based on the results of expert validation and product testing, the researcher can conclude that the Children's Activity Sheet is very suitable to be used as teaching material.
