Abstract

This study purposes to improve result of learning social sciences about Indonesians role in the era of globalization by the 6 grade of Tulung Elementary School. The actions study of the class is designed by model learning snowball throwing, which are process of planning, action, observations,and reflection. The techniques of collecting data do with the observations and test. The results of research by using model of learning snowball throwing has improved the result of the student learning. On the first cycle of learn reach 42,87%, that was not finished 52.17%. In the second cycle, 86,95% has completed and just 13,04% of the student that was not completed. The completeness achievement shows that it has been fulfilled complete criteria of at least targeted the 85% with the value of >75. The suggests that a model of learning snowball throwing have been able to improve results learn students of class 6 Tulung Elementary school

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of learning creativity and learning outcomes of Sociology subject among XI IPS students at SMAN 1 Sewon by using the Problem Based Learning model. This study used classroom action research. The learning creativity data were collected by using observation sheets, and the learning outcomes was gained from tests in sociology subject. The data analysis method was qualitative descriptive. The study results showed there was an increase in the student creativity from 9.68% in the pre-cycle, to 41.93% in the first cycle, and then became 78.42% in the second cycle. The achievement of student learning outcomes in the pre cycle was 29.03%, in the first cycle was 77.42%, then in the second cycle was 83.87%. Students who reach the completeness level in the pre cycle were 9 students. It was increased to 24 students in the first cycle, and then became 26 students after second cycle.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the students’ understanding concept about characteristic of the Straight Line similarity on Curriculum 2013. This study was classroom action research conducted to thirthy two students of class VIIIE of SMP Negeri 1 Srandakan. It had been conducted from August to September 2018. The data were collected using an observation sheet and questionnaires. The analyses technique of the data used quantitative descriptive method by counting the average of the students’ score. The result of this research is the average score of sikapses of students’ understanding in Class VIII E on mathematics using attitude improving methods. The average of students’ sikapses score before the action was 73%, the first cycle on the first meeting got the average 81.85%, the first clycle on the second meeting was 83,66%, the second cycle on the first meeting was 86,05%, and the second cycle on the second meeting got the average 87,40% so there was 14,4% of students’ improvement in learning using attitude develoment on Curriculum 2013.

Abstract

The aim of this Class Action Research study was to improve the learning outcomes of natural science subject (IPA) through the Moving Star game among VIA class students at SD Jetis, Bantul Regency. The subject of this study was 33 students of VIA class at SD Jetis. The study carried out in 2 cycles. The instruments were observation, documentation, and test. The observation was used during teaching and learning process, documentation was used to collect data and student test results, and the test methods was carried out at the end of each cycle. Data analysis in this study applied qualitative descriptive technique to describe the improvement in student achievement during the learning process. Results of this study showed that there was an increase of student learning outcomes in the IPA KI 3 (knowledge) content, from 71.81 in the first cycle with a completeness level of 36.36% to 78.79 with a completeness level of 84, 85% in the second cycle. The increase was 6.98, and the increase completeness level was 48.49%. Whereas the average value of the IPA KI 4 (skills) content in the first cycle I was 69.48 with a completeness level of 21.21%. After the second cycle there was an increase in learning outcomes which was 82.48 with a completeness rate of 81.82%. The increase average was 13.00 and the increase of completeness level was 60.61%. It can be concluded that there was improvement of student learning achievement in natural science subject after application of the Moving Star game among VIA class students at SD Jetis, Bantul Regency.

Abstract

The ability of the language of children is still low because some children have not been able to communicate fluently, the method of telling through the media images is one of the learning methods that can improve the language skills of children, The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the application of story telling methods using the image media as an effort to improve language skills in children in PKK Putragiri, Giripurwo, Girimulyo, Kulon Progo. The method used in this research is the experimental method, which is comparing the initial value before being treated with the storytelling method using the image media and the final value after being treated with the storytelling method using the image media in the experimental class. Data analysis technique used is independent samples test. The subjects of the research were group B students in Putragiri PKK kindergarten, which consisted of 60 children consisting of 2 groups, namely group B1 and B2. There were 30 students each group. The experimental group and control group were determined by using simple random sampling of 30 students. Data collection techniques using observation, measuring instruments used in this study using the scale of language skills consisting of the ability to listen, speak, read and write. The results of this study were, 1) the ability of the language in the experimental class before treatment is included in the category of less, and after being given the treatment is very good category. 2) The storytelling method using the appropriate and effective picture media is used as a method of developing the students 'language skills in TK PKK Putragiri Giripurwo Girimulyo Kulon Progo, 3) the storytelling method using the image media has also made the students' language skills in the experimental class become balanced which is marked by the value the range obtained is 19. It differs greatly from that in the control / control classes whose language skills are not balanced between those with the highest and lowest values, it is indicated by the range of values ​​obtained in the control class which amounts to 40.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the teacher's performance on pedagogic competence of daily assessment planning through academic supervision of group discussion at SD 3 Panggang Academic Year 2017/2018 semester 1. This research was conducted at SD 3 Panggang Bambanglipuro. This research is a reflection which has been done in 2 cycles. The research subjects are classroom teachers and subject teachers. The activities in this research consist of the stage of action planning, action implementation, observation and reflection. The technique which the researcher used to collect the data is by using observation technique, and assignment. For the observation instrument, the researcher uses the teacher's appraisal tool (APKG) in the form of 4 instruments (basic competence mapping, design form & assessment techniques, grating making, and compilation of questions). The data analysis which the researcher uses is a comparative descriptive analysis technique. The quantitative data obtained is described in words or explanatory form. Subsequent data comparations were made to ensure that there was an improvement in teacher capacity in daily assessment planning. The result of the research shows that the findings of the group's academic supervision can improve teacher pedagogic competence in daily assessment planning at SD 3 Panggang Bambanglipuro Bantul in the academic year of 2017/2018 semester 1 of 28%.

Abstract

This School Action Research conducted at SD Bungkus. The aims of this study were to 1). Improve the teacher competence especially in learning process through clinical supervision. 2). Know the appropriate steps of clinical supervision in order to improve teacher competitiveness. This study used two cycles. Each cycle consisting of two meetings. There were four stages in each cycles: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Subject of this study were six teachers. Data collected by observed the learning proccess in the classroom by using 5 instruments, namely syllabus and semester program, teaching plans and program (RPP), learning process, student assessment and classroom management. The interpretation of score in this study used the criteria as follows: 80-100 was very good, 66-79 was good, 55-65 was sufficient and 40-55 was less. Results of this study showed that the teacher initial ability was in less criteria. The result after first cycle was still in less criteria, but after improvement in second cycle it was increased to good and average criteria, and even two teachers reached excellent criteria. It can be concluded that by using clinical supervision there was a significant increase in teacher competence from the initial condition, especially after second cycle.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether a short experimental activity improve the quality of economy learning process as well as improve the quality of student learning outcomes in SMA N 1 Galur. The type of this study is classroom action research conducted at class X IPS 1 in SMA Negeri 1 Galur, from February 2018 intil Apri12018. Subjects of this study were 24 students, and the study was conducted in two cycles. Data in this study collected by using observation, interview, tests and documentation data analysis was done by qualitative descriptive technique and data stated in percentage. The results of this study showed that the short experiment learning model can be done effectively and efficiently as well as able to improve the learning quality, as it was indicated by the high student interest during the learning process, characterized by high student activity both in cycle I and cycle II. Similarly, the cognitive aspect showed the minimum school learning completeness standard as it reached 73% in cycle I and then rose to 81.1% in cycle II, which was categorized as very well completeness standard.

Abstract

Fraction is one of the learning materials for Year V students of elementary school which tends to be difficult to understand due to its abstract characteristic. It is related to the students'cognitive development which is in the phase of concrete operational. This condition makes the learning process less meaningful, boring, and the students'participation is low. This research aimed at imprοving the activity and prοduct οf learning mathematics οf Year V students οf SD Negeri Semen in the academic year 2015/2016. Cοnducted in February tο April 2016, this research adοpted the actiοn research design prοpοsed by Kemmis and Taggart. Each cycle cοnsisted οf fοur main activities, namely planning, dοing, οbserving, and reflecting. Data were cοllected by using οbservatiοn, test, questiοnnaire, and interview. Research data were analyzed quantitatively using the percentage technique. The research result was that the activity and result οf learning mathematics imprοved after the implementatiοn οf interactive learning using lectοra. The imprοvement οf learning activity was prοved based οn the οbservatiοn οf learning activity. In the first cycle, students were enthusiastic tο learn using the learning media. Students were brave tο express their οpiniοn during the discussiοn and respοnd tο teacher’s questiοns. In the first cycle the percentage οf learning activity was 83% and in the secοnd cycle the percentage was 88%. The imprοvement was alsο οbtained in the learning mastery. Befοre the actiοn was carried οut, the student’s learning mastery was 43% frοm the minimum standard οf mastery 68. After the actiοn was cοnducted, the scοre was 70% in the first cycle and 87% in the secοnd cycle.

Abstract

This School Action Research aims to improve teacher competence in learning as well as to increase teacher activities in carrying out their duties. This study applied a multi-method workshop with teacher classical and group approach at Sawahan Elementary School. Subjects of this study was SD N Sawahan, Jetis District, Bantul Regency. The instrument in this study was observation, and the data analysis techniques was descriptive quantitative. Results of this study showed that teacher competency before the study was 9.1%, which was increased to 45.45% after this multi methods school action research was carried out in the first cycle. In the second cycle it became 63.63% so that there was an increase in teacher competency. The increase from the initial conditions to the first cycle experiencing was 36.35%, from the first cycle to the second cycle was 18.18%. Meanwhile the teacher activities in the initial condition was 9.1%, and became 45.45% in the second cycle, and then increased to 63.63% in the second cycle. After this study, the student activities increased 18.18%.
