Jurnal Bioshell bertujuan untuk menjembatani kesenjangan antara penelitian dan praktik, memberikan informasi, ide dan pendapat, selain ujian kritis kemajuan penelitian, pengajaran, pembelajaran biologi, Biologi, dan Pembelajaran IPA. Melalui cakupan kebijakan dan pengembangan kurikulum, hasil penelitian terbaru tentang pengajaran, pembelajaran dan penilaian biologi dikedepankan. Jurnal Bioshell menerima dan menerbitkan artikel dalam bentuk penelitian dan kajian (artikel ilmiah) di bidang pendidikan biologi dan pemanfaatan penelitian biologi dalam proses belajar mengajar. Semua artikel diterbitkan dalam bahasa Indonesia dan menjalani proses penilaian sejawat. Abstract

The objective of this research is to know the application of SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis in seeing reliability and validity of causal relationship among latent variables  in the area of marketing management of health service industry influenced by patient perception about health service quality on patient loyality with satisfaction of patient as the medium variable. SEM Analysis is a group of statistical techniques which is conducive to be done examination a relation network which is complicated relative simultaneously. In SEM, we can do three activities simultaneously, that are  inspection and validity of reliability equivalent instrument with confirmatory factor analysis, examination of relationship model among latent variables equivalent with path analysis, and get worthwhile model for predicting equivalent with structural model or regression  analysis. The conclusion of got from this research is there are influence which significant among the perception of patient to the patient loyality, the perception of patient to the satisfaction of patient, the satisfaction of patient to the  patient loyality.Keywords: Structural Equation Model, reliability, validity, confirmatory factor analysis, path analysis.

Abstract

            Pembelajaran biologi yang disampaikan oleh guru selama ini kurang menarik dan tidak ada improvisasi dalam penyampaian materi . Hal ini berpengaruh terhadap minat belajar siswa yang nantinya juga membuat hasil belajar siswa rendah .Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas . Prosedur yang digunakan adalah model siklus yaitu setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan,observasi, dan refleksi .Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa  : (1) penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dengan metode eksperimen efektif dan berpengaruh positif terhadap keaktifan, keefektifan dan prestasi siswa dalam pembelajaran Biologi; (2) Dengan metode eksperimen minat belajar siswa meningkat dari 64,94% menjadi 95,40%; (3)Meningkatnya hasil belajar rata-rata siswa dari 74 menjadi 83 dan meningkatnya ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa dari 62% menjadi 97% dengan model pembelajaran tipe STAD dengan metode eksperimen .Kata Kunci  :  STAD ,  eksperimen , minat , hasil belajar

Abstract

         Education is a conscious and deliberate effort to create an atmosphere of learning and the learning process so that learners are actively developing the potential for him to have the spiritual strength of religious, self-control, personality, intelligence, good values, and skill that need him, society, nation and state ( Ministry of Education, 2003: 6). The formulation of this problem are: 1) Is the Jigsaw model can improve the learning activity of students in class VII student studying biology junior year Alhidayah Karangduren Lessons Balung 2011/2012?. 2) Is the Jigsaw model of learning can improve learning outcomes completeness biology class VII SMP Alhidayah karangduren Balung Academic Year 2011/2012?. This study aims to: 1) Assess the effectiveness of Jigsaw model of learning in improving student learning outcomes completeness class VII SMP Al-Hidayah Karangduren Lessons Balung year 2011/2012. 2) Assess the effectiveness of instructional models up grade Jigsaw in class VII student learning activities SMP Al-Hidayah Karangduren Lessons Balung year 2011/2012. By using the Jigsaw cooperative learning model, showed high learning outcomes, can be seen from the results of your analysis test on the subject of the previous gain (62.85%) compared to the type of cooperative learning jigsaw, the first to reach the cycle (71, 42%). And the cycle is continued on to the second cycle reached (91.42%) of students scoring above the minimum completeness criteria.  Kata kunci (key word) aktivitas, hasil belajar, jigsaw

Abstract

The experiment was intended to determine the effect of concentration Abitonik and comparison of N, P and K in the fertilizer on the growth and yield of soybean varieties Wilis. Research methods in factorial randomized block design with basic patterns (RBD) 3x3 consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications. The treatment of each of these factors are: Factor Abitonik PGR concentration (Z) consists of 3 levels, namely Z0: without using abitonik (Control); Z1: Abitonik 0.5 ml per liter of water and Z2: Abitonik 1.0 ml per liter of water. Factors kinds of comparisons of N, P and K in fertilizers (P) consists of three levels: P1: comparison of N: P: K: 50:50:50; P2: Comparison of N: P: K: 50: 100: 175. The experimental data were analyzed by the F test (Fingerprint Variety) and followed by Ducan's Multiple Range Test 5%. The experimental results showed that the concentration Abitonik and comparison of N, P and K in fertilizers as well as the interaction between the two treatments very significant effect on plant height, number of branches on the main stem, number of pods per plant, number of pods per plant contains, the number of empty pods per plant and dry weight of 1,000 seeds. Concentration Abitonik very significant effect on plant height, number of branches on the main stem, number of pods per plant, number of pods per plant and weight of 1,000 dry beans. Concentration is the most appropriate Abitonik 1.0 ml per liter of water. Comparison of N, P and K in the fertilizer very significant effect on plant height, number of branches on the main stem, number of pods per plant, number of pods per plant and weight of 1,000 dry beans. The best comparison of N, P and K is 50: 100: 175. Interaction Abitonik concentration and ratio of N, P and K in the fertilizer very significant effect on plant height, number of branches on the main stem, number of pods per plant, number of pods per plant and 1,000 weight of dry beans. The best treatment combination is most appropriate Abitonik concentration is 1.0 ml per liter of water Abitonik and comparison of N, P and K in fertilizers 50: 100: 175.  Keywords: Concentration, growth regulators Abitonik, comparison of N, P, K in fertilizer, soybean ((Glycine max (L). Abstract

Waste is a substance, energy or components that could be degrading the environmental quality. Waste (pollutants) may be solid, liquid and gas. Liquid waste in the form of fish oil and some gas or solid waste from fish processing in Muncar, Banyuwangi has positive and negative impacts for the environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the extent of the influence of fish processing wastes on aquatic ecosystems and the economic aspects of communities around the industrial area as well as ways to overcome them. This study uses descriptive research method with interview techniques and field observations in three stages, namely interviews, observation and determination. The independent variable is industrial waste. Dependent variable is the environment surrounding industrial area. There are changes in color, odor and sediment colloids in the waters around the industry. Disease often complained about the plant communities are coughing and itching. For people who were left to waste disposal plants, the waste is very harmful to society, but for the scavengers of fish oil, waste to be very beneficial because it can make money. Profits average of fish oil processing is 52.67%. The way of handling liquid waste pollution is can be making room seepage, selfpurification and the establishment of fish oil processing plant.Key words: waste, industry, fish processing, Muncar, environmental

Abstract

One of learning method which empower student and KBK appropriate is take advantage school yard as learning media at MA. Bahrul Ulum Mayang Jember. This research using based action reseach which consist four phase, that is planning, action, observation and reflection. That phases is a cycle with a spiral according to Kemmis and Taggart (1990). The output research data analysised by deskriptif kualitatif. Abstract

Energy can to inspect from Biology, Physics, and Chemistry. Energy formed alteration process that alteration space is human body. Energy alteration to consist of potential and mechanic energy. Energy inside human body unpermanent appearance but to depend on situation, position, body movement, and surrounding environtment. One of something kinetic energy is a termal energy element to mention temperature. Different temperature from one substance to other formed transmition termal energy to mention a heat through some mechanism is conduction, convection, and evaporation.Key word: energy, human body, and termal.

Abstract

            The purpose of this research was to know the effect of CMA with different concentrations (0, 10, 20, 30 g) on roots growth of Jackbean plants (Canavalia ensiformis) consisting of root biomass and root length. This research is an experimental design wich is used Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The treatment in this experiment was inoculating the CMA in various concentrations to the rhizosphere of the soil which would be used as the medium for the C. ensiformis growth. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and followed by Duncan's test 5%. Results of this research indicated that no a marked different for of root biomass and root length, however giving of CMA at a concentration of 30 g showed best value for the parameters of root biomass (37,84 g) and root length  (55,24 g).Keywords: Canavalia ensiformis, CMA, Roots

Abstract

River represents as ecosystem of water which is very needed by all living organism and human being in their daily activities. These activities are possible to degrade the quality of water river. Benthic macroinvertebrates  is one of the water animal that be used to monitor the quality of water. Besides benthic macroinvertebrates, measurement of water chemical factor often used as indicator for water quality. Research about influence quality of water on the river to existence of benthic macroinvertebrates in River of Prono Leces District of Probolinggo have been conducted in July-August 2010. The aim is that observing the quality of water, type and properties of benthic macroinvertebrates and the influence of water quality to existence of benthic macroinvertebrates. Method that used is plot method which is conducted systematically. Result of research indicates that pH, DO and BOD of Prono River are still good enough because it still fulfill standard quality of water specified by government. There are 11 types of benthic macroinvertebrates in all research station. H’ of benthic macroinvertebrates in all station below one (0.24 - 0.66). The result of analysis shows that a marked difference inexistence between station for the analysis of chemical factor and type variety index of benthic macroinvertebrates. Quality of water river of Prono does not give an effect to the  existence of benthic macroinvertebrates. Key Word : water quality, species richness , species of diversity, River of Prono

Abstract

Indonesian people are not only familiar with terasi, but also enjoy its made products. Terasi is the product of processing fish or shrimp by giving salt & fermentation in the form of solid paste with a unique smell and taste. In Jember, it can be made of rebon shrimp (Mysis), citrus shrimp (Metapenaeus ensis), and reket shrimp (Atya sp.) with the general traditional methods. Terasi actually has a good nutrient, but it gives bad effects on the structure and function of liver. It’s proven by the result of the research on mouse (Mus musculus) Galur Balb-c with the treatment of giving two kinds of terasi.
