Abstract

The process of spraying varnish is an important part of this industry but it still uses minimal tools so that this process has several obstacles, namely wasted time, unreliable work positions, frequent defects, and disturbed other work stations. To overcome this, a varnish sprayer has been designed, but there are still many things that need to be improved in terms of shape. The research was conducted at SMEs AAT RATTAN CHANDY CRAFT which is engaged in rattan handicrafts such as chairs, tables, serving covers. From the data obtained, 21 out of 28 people experienced complaints in the arms and hands due to less ergonomic work positions and tools. This study uses the Macroergonomic Analysis and Design method, in order to obtain a varnish spray design proposal in the form of a rectangular, faceted iron frame, the main drive of the dynamo (motor), the belt rope as a power connector, the conveyor as a spraying route, the spray gun as a sprayer. The dimensions of this varnish sprayer are 230 cm high, 200 cm wide and 500 cm long. In the proposed working method, there must be two operators, the first operator at the input door of the lifting tool and putting the product on the conveyor, the second operator receiving at the output door of the tool. This eliminates bending and squatting activities because the conveyor height is made as high as 137 cm from the floor surface.

Abstract

The Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle) began as an initial effort of liberalization and economic integration in ASEAN. IMT-GT was officially endorsed in 1993, provides a sub-regional framework to accelerate cooperation and economic integration to develop the country's economy. With the increasingly vigorous issue of halal, then established the institution to oversee and provide assurance against halal products. This article explains halal tourism, regulation on halal certification as well as research institute about halal. There are by providing the differences between the three developing countries namely Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. Indonesia has regulation about concerning guarantee of halal products regulation UU number 33 year 2014. Malaysia has an advantage in terms of regulations and laws on halal certification, but not so with Indonesia as a country with a majority Muslim population. Indonesia has not made halal certification as a guarantee of food and beverage product safety. Indonesia also has a large and free halal market, clear rules, but in implementation it can be said to be weak. Whereas in Malaysia, halal research is quite strong and shows an increasing trend, public awareness about halal is also strong so that the process of certifying halal products goes synergistically. But in Thailand is still starting steps towards halal research. But on the other hand, producers in Thailand have a high awareness of the importance of producing halal products.

Abstract

Plasma is one of the four fundamentals states of matter other than solid, liquid and gas. In terms of temperature, plasma can be classified into Hot Plasma occurs in thermal equilibrium, Thermal Plasma occurs in non-thermal equilibrium, Cold Plasma occurs in non-thermal equilibrium Cold plasma is an ultra-fast method of sterilization that operates under ambient temperatures (ideal for thermolabile products) at a low running cost and is environment-friendly. Therefore, technology is needed to solve the problem through the innovation of a milk sterilization machine with the principle of non-thermal plasma sterilization by utilizing plasma technology to reduce microbial contamination. The output frequency and voltage are determined through software simulation using voltmeter, oscilloscope, and counter timer. After 220VAC supplies a voltage step down and rectifier circuit to produce a 12VDC output voltage to supply the Switching circuit voltage and the Flyback Transformer driver. Rated voltage and frequency reach 20kV 15kHz.The positive wire from the Flyback Transformer is connected to the acrylic box filled with water (positive electrode) and the ground wire is connected to another acrylic sheet (ground electrode. The milk medium to be sterilized can be placed on the positive electrode or between the ground and positive electrodes. Non-thermal plasma has an effective ability to decontaminate bacteria. This is because plasma is composed of a mixture of ionized particles, reactive radical molecules, and also ultraviolet Schematic circuit design has been successfully simulated. Acrylic sterilization media designs can be used to generate plasma. The mechanism of bacterial sterilization in milk is by the activity of inhibiting bacterial biofilms which can lead to bacterial DNA damage through reactive species in the non-thermal plasma used. Milk quality testing is carried out based on comparison of supporting literature with milk quality requirements according to SNI 3950: 2014.

Abstract

Ethanolic leaf extract of Saurauia vulcani Korthor pirdot in Indonesia was evaluated to improve the number of erythrocytes in laboratory rats after being immunized with sheep red blood cells (SRBC). This study was conducted in an experimental manner using a non-factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatments and six replications. The tested animals were 24 rats (Rattus norvegicus) maintained in the laboratory. The experimental designs were designated as follows: G0as a control group treatedwith regular animal feed,G1 was treatedwith 0.1 mLSRBC, G2was treated with 500 mg ethanolic leaf extract of Saurauia (EES)/kg body weight (BW), G3 was treated with 500 EES/kg BW and 0.1 mL SRBC. The immunological effect was monitored by analyzing the level of interleukin-2 (IL-2) using ELISA, lymphocytes using ABX Microx 60, and liver histopathology. The results showed that lymphocyte levels was increased in G2 and G3 but not significant to G0. The IL-2 level in G1 was recorded the highest among groups due to the treatment using SRBC. The percentage of necrotic cells in G1was 5.8%, followed by G3 with 2.3%. The morphologies of liver histology were normal, parenchymatous and hydropic degenerations, and necrosis. The phytochemical constituents in ethanolic leaf extract of S. vulcanipossessed an immunological effect through the increased lymphocytes, reduction of IL-2, and protection through normal liver histopathology in rats.

Abstract

Forest conversion is the root of the problem that can hamper investment, state revenue, and potentially cause state losses. The purpose of this study was to analyze forest conversion in the upstream oil and gas industry area and the factors that influence forest conversion in the upstream oil and gas industry area based on spatial analysis. This study used systematic sampling with the point grid method measuring 1 kilometers * 1 kilometers. Rokan Block had 5,125 sampling points. This study used raster-based GIS analysis and logistic regression with the Wald Test. The results of the study showed that the Rokan Block Area experienced a fairly severe forest conversion in 2000-2014 influenced by the total population and The 1986 TGHK. The novelty of this study is that the active role of communities around the forests that still upholds the concern for the forest must be preserved, because they will be the front guard in securing forest encroachment, and upstream oil and gas industry are not the main economic activities that cause forest conversion
