Abstract

Bio charcoal is one type of fuel in the form of charcoal made from various kinds of biological or biomass material, which includes agricultural waste, forestry waste, agro-industrial waste, animal waste from livestock waste. Bio charcoal is produced from the carbonization process or the charcoal process of materials containing carbon (biomass). One of the biomass that has the potential to be used as raw material for bio charcoal is poultry manure originating from poultry livestock waste. The composition of poultry livestock waste (chicken manure) is crude protein by 9.97-12.67% and crude fiber by 30.36-32.65. This study aims to determine the optimal carbonization temperature and particle size in the carbonization process so that optimal Fixed Carbon level can be obtained by using variations in the size of Chicken Manure Particles, namely: 30 mesh, 40 mesh, 50 mesh, and Charcoal temperature: 200, 225, 250, 275 and 300° C. Stages of the process carried out is drying chicken manure to the weight of constant chicken manure (water content < 10%) and then mashed and sieved to sizes of 30, 40, and 50 mesh and the last stage is the charcoal process of chicken manure with variations in temperature of 200, 225, 250, 275, and 300° C until the perfect charcoal process. From this study, the best parameter is obtained at 350° C and 50 mesh particle size with 45% Fixed Carbon content, 3.26% moisture content, 41% ash content, and volatile matter content 22%.

Abstract

A flexible work surrounding is recommended for the comfort of employees while doing their activities. Workplace design affects the individual who works inside it. Previous researches had revealed that physical elements in the workplace affected employees’ creativity. From these descriptions this research then making identification to physical elements that placed inside the workplace of administration staff. 150 respondents have participated in this survey. Questionnaires of this research have 13 questions where some of the questions asking about computer sets also type of office equipment that employees usually use in their work. The result of this research showed that most employees have sufficient work facility which is a computer set with LCD monitor where its screen size is adjusted according to the work demand (19 inches), and the computer lifespan is relatively ranging from five years. While type identification and computer function consider being appropriate for their job desk. From placement or setting of work, facilities give a description that average employees want computers placed at the center of the desk and put other work equipment on the right side of the desk. The result of this survey is expected able to give a significant contribution to workplace design that suitable for administration staff.

Abstract

In planning and designing a bridge it should consider the function of transportation needs, technical and architectural-aesthetic requirements which include: Traffic aspects, Technical aspects, Aesthetic aspects. the alternative bridge design structure of the steel arch bridge-type steel frame with warren frame on the Tukad Bridge in Bangkung district. Badung - Bali is a steel frame bridge that has an overall span of 360 m and 9.6 m wide. alternative upper structure at the Tukad Bangkung bridge Badung Regency - Bali with the merging of the steel arch construction of 2 roller joints and the warren frame structure. Where between the curve/arc with a steel profile plate connected by a cable that serves to provide strong support to the frame structure because of the long stretch. In the planning of the bridge this time using the L.R.F.D method and for the structural analysis modeling the writer uses the STAADPRO V8i assistive program. From the analysis of the results of the calculation of the structure above obtained planning dimensions of the Steel Arch bridge that is planned to use a steel profile, WF 350 x 175 x 7 x 11 for gel. elongated, WF 918 x 303 x 19 x 37 for gel. transversely, WF 350 x 350 x 12 x 9 for gel. transversely above, WF 498 x 432 x 45 x 70 for gel. parent, LD 250,250.25 for wind bonds.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of volume fraction (10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%) of composite banana stem fiber with polyester matrix on tensile strength and impact strength. From the results of the study obtained an average strength value the most optimal tensile is found in the 10% fiber volume fraction and 90% matrix that is 51.863 N/mm2 and strain value 5.754 N/mm2. As for the lowest tensile strength at 20% fiber volume fraction and 80% matrix that is 36.356 N/mm2 and strain value 7.796%. The composite which has the highest average energy and impact value is the 50% volume fraction matrix 50% has an absorption rate with an average absorbed energy value of 0.8093 Joules and an average Impact Price of 0.0101 Joules / mm2, while the lowest in the volume fraction of 20%, 80% matrix with an average energy value of 0.4129 Joules and an average Impact Price of 0.0052 Joules/mm2. It can be concluded that the addition of fiber volume fraction affects the tensile strength and impact strength.

Abstract

Privatization is generally defined as the transfer of activity and function, particularly in the area of infrastructure development for the purpose of improving management efficiency, productivity as well as ensuring economic growth in tandem with the vision 2020. Although the privatization of certain property development projects has been successfully implemented, there are still a number of abandoned projects and the reasons for success are not fully explained. In Johor, there has been no study on the success factors of the privatization project for commercial buildings. Therefore, the objective of this study is to define critical success factors for privatized development projects and to identify developers' characteristics that affect the success factor of a privatization project by identify the successful privatization projects and selected 3 successful privatized commercial privatization projects. Furthermore, the characteristics of developers affecting the success of the project will be identified to facilitate the Johor State Economic Planning Division to identify the criteria of the developer to the project which has the potential of a successful privatization project.

Abstract

Housing is described as one of the most universal concerns for a country's welfare that reflects people's perception of living standards. Every homebuyer must have their own natural preferences in buying a house. Apart from that, this study focused on housing affordability preferences for “Rumah Selangorku” Program. This research aims to rank the house buyers’ preferences elements for ‘Rumah Selangorku’ in specifically De Kiara Apartment, Shah Alam, Malaysia. This research also identifies the preferences elements for house buyers from the literature. The questionnaire survey has been distributed towards respondents which are the occupants of De Kiara Apartment, Shah Alam. Thus, the results indicated price at the first ranked followed by locality; design; space standard; and facilities and services.

Abstract

People with autism are sensitive to milk protein (casein), gluten, and sugar. These foods can cause an increase in aggressive behavior, crying, anger, stress and depression, while also able to increase digestive disorders, allergies and neurobiological disorders in people with autism. Trials have been carried out on several autistic people by providing food based on MOCAF modified with Centella Asiatica extract with positive results. Children are more focused, more communicative and the symptoms of stress and depression decrease. The weakness is that it can still lack the necessary vitamins and minerals so that it is continued with the manufacture of supplements made from Centella Asiatica and egg extracts (PELOR). Those contain vitamins and minerals needed by people with autism and do not form new compounds but still contain microbes. The research was done by giving various concentrations of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30% and 35% curcuma longa in pelor extract which is expected to reduce microbial growth. The results concluded that PELOR extract with the addition of 20% curcuma longa can kill the growth of harmful microorganisms of Salmonella and Staphylococcus but it is still not effective in inhibiting the growth of Bacillus substilis. In the addition of 20% curcuma longa, there was Bacillus substilis with a total of 3 x103 colonies/100ml or an NPN value of 0.03 has met the SNI 7388: 2009 standard. Therefore, it was concluded that it was safe to potentially be a balanced nutritious supplementary food needed by people with autism.

Abstract

The results of the observation conducted by the research team at the milk processing company in the waste, the phase of waste destruction through the stage of one of them is the disposal of milk from the bottle is still using the manual tool when the bottle hole and pour the milk fluid into the tub. The milk disposal time in the bottle can be optimised with ergonomic tool design process. The meaning of ergonomic design is the design of a tool that generates a working system using the size of Anthropometri, while the research is focused on ergonomic tool design that can be used by the operator with the effective efficient, safe and comfortable result. With the stage conducted by the research team was conducting surveys, study of literture, data collection, formulating problems, analyzing and outdoor that is targeted is optimal model design tool using size anthropometri with height of shoulders when standing along the 138.5 cm, reach of the fore hands 72cm, the range of the side hand of 71cm, the height of the elbow when standing 104 cm and the knee height when standing 49 cm by saving the discharge time by 37%.

Abstract

The area of Jenon Spring Water has been determined as tourism development area in Malang Regency. Public facilities and services are a variety of physical buildings and structured programs that play a role in improving the comfort of a residential environment. Public and social services and facilities are very important in the life of city residents. This research is aimed to arrange the spatial development brief of Jenon Spring Water. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The research result show that regional arrangement is needed. Where in the area arrangement in Sumber Jenon carried out in this project has a positive effect in Gunungronggo Village, which can improve the economy of the Gunungronggo Village community and improve the quality of Human Resources in Gunungronggo Village by adding a souvenir store and other facilities in Sumber Jenon.

Abstract

Project cost is one of the constraints in the achievement of a construction project. Limitation on projects financing require more realistic and efficient cost analysis in preparation of project. Due to changes in projects planning over time, it is usually difficult to predict the future project cost. So, we need an integrated system and give an efficiency for the planner. Project cost consists of cost components which is there are an interrelationship each other’s and influencing the overall cost of the project. The approach using system dynamic is one of the best solutions to identify the causal relationship between cost components by using software tools Ventana Simulation (Vensim) to facilitate the identification of causal relationship (causatic diagram) and mathematical equations between variables in stock flow diagram. The results of system dynamic approach show that the simulation model can be used to predict/ estimate the project’s cost in the coming years. Verification and validation of simulation model is eligible based on the value of means comparison, E1 = 0.32% < 5% and % error variance, E2 = 3.19% < 30% so the developed model can be done scenarios for changes that occur on the system according to the user needs.
