The Journal of Tourism and Economics continues to develop various sub-themes related to economics (including accounting and management) and tourism (including culture). Journal scope is international and includes research on aspects of economic studies and tourism issues. This journal also provides opportunities for researchers and scholars from various disciplines of science who have new views and ideas to share with other academics, especially in matters that focus on tourism, culture and economic studies. All papers will be followed up and reviewed by the research community before publication.

Abstract

This research explains the effect of perceived risk, cost saving, and time saving on customer satisfaction on the purchase of airline tickets online through website tiket2. It is based on information technology quality in selling tickets online by providing features that are very easy to use, and give serious attention to the security of customer data and ease in transacting. This research uses non probability sampling method with the criteria used in sample selection is customer who make ticket purchase through website  tiket2. The data used in this study is primary data obtained directly from respondents through interviews and filling questionnaires. From the results of research proved perceived risk, cost saving, and time saving have a positive and significant impact on customer satisfaction. The contribution of this research is expected to be as an input and guide for management practitioners in carrying out business activities, especially those related to factors that influence customer satisfaction, that is, to provide input in decision making at giving satisfaction to the customer.Keywords: perceived risk, cost saving, time saving, customer satisfaction, non probability sampling

Abstract

This study aims: (1) to determine the role of staf salesin the implementation of the mingle at Lafayette Boutique Hotel Yogyakarta, and (2) to determine the description of the implementation of the mingle at Lafayette Boutique Hotel Yogyakarta. This research uses descriptive qualitative method, by collecting data through observation, interviews, documentation. Data retrieval of data was carried out in December 2018-February 2019. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman which included data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions / verification. The results showed that the mingle activity can be used as a direct evaluation of guests as a measure of the level of guest satisfaction related to the income that the hotel will receive as income. In mingle activities, staf saleshave a role in communicating with guests to build relationships, inform Direct Booking guests of Online Travel Agents, report to All Departments, and Maintain operations. Lafayette Boutique Hotel Yogyakarta has implemented a scheduled and structured mingle by adjusting the number of staff that has been approved by the Director of Sales, which is every day at the restaurant at breakfast time, starting at 09.00 to 10:00 am includes 3 activities namely recording the guest database as a marketing system, offering Experience Of French, and retarget guests.

Abstract

This study examines the Potential and Tourism Development of Jeglong Waterfall, Paltungan District, Kendal Regency, Central Java. This study aims to determine the potential and strategy of Jeglong Curug Tourism development that is owned, as well as the problems faced in developing Jeglong Curug Tourism in Kendal. This research is presented descriptively describing information about attractions. Data collection methods proposed in this study were interviews, observation and literature studies. In this study the author discusses the following variables: 1. Potential and attractiveness possessed by Jeglong Waterfall 2. Development strategies applied by the residents of Plantungan to the Jeglong Curug tourist attraction. The results of this study indicate that: Jeglong Waterfall Tourism Object is one of the potential tourism objects to be developed in Kendal Regency. In the development of Jeglong Curug Tourism Object, it turns out that there are still various obstacles, including: The lack of supporting facilities for Jeglong Curug Tourism Object, and the limited Human Resources and funds used for development. So it can be concluded that Jeglong Waterfall Tourism Object turned out to have potential as an attractive natural tourist attraction to be developed. The participation of the government or community and academics in the field of Tourism is very much needed, so that it can increase the number of tourists so that it can increase the economic income of the community and promote tourism especially in Plantungan District, Kendal Regency.Keywords: Potential, Development, Tourism Destination

Abstract

A website that has an easy-to-use user interface for visitors to interact (usability) or communicate in sharing information is needed by web visitors. This study aims to provide an assessment of the website developed by Bejiharjo tourism village from the perspective of web visitors, in terms of the interactivity (usability) function of the website interface in general. Besides that it also aims to find out website development strategies to increase website usability by web managers. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method that is supported by SWOT analysis to develop discussions to the discovery of website development strategies. The results of this study are IFAS (internal factor analysis summary) score from the analysis of the website obtaining a score of no more than 2.5. While the EFAS score (external factors analysis strategy) obtained a score of 2.87. This score shows that the opportunities and threats to the development of the Bejiharjo tourism village website are greater than the strengths and weaknesses. Therefore we need a development strategy based on a SWOT analysis that includes adding types of social media accounts that are connected to the website, maintaining continuity with website content updates, increasing the detail of information on the main website content, equipping the website with video content, reservation forms and visitor comment columns.

Abstract

The role of Room Boy is very important for the Tourism Industry, especially the hospitality industry. Hospitality is an industry that sells most major services, namely services of accommodation, facilities that provide room for the guests to stay. To prepare the room so it becomes worth selling, then this is done by room boy. Training activities especially Room Boy is very important for hotels to improve the quality of hotel employees, as well as create a mutually beneficial relationship between several parties, one of the advantages for the organizer of training activities is the employee's help during the production process. This study aims to determine the role of training participants, especially room boy in helping the achievement of room boy work at the hotel The Sahid Rich Jogja, using descriptive qualitative research methods, and using the technique of observation data collection, interviews, documentation conducted hotel location The Sahid Rich Jogja, library, which will be carried out later discussion so that can be drawn a conclusion. The results of the research indicate that there is a good impact in the location of research, among other increasing service capabilities performed by employees at the hotel, thus maximizing the efficiency of the use of labor or resources owned by the hotel.Keywords: Hotel, Room Boy Training, Achievement of Work

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors of the management of the Sri Baduga Fountain Park, Purwakarta Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach, data models used is by literature studies, to test the validity of the data is done through triangulation, while for data analysis is done through an interactive model. The results showed that the supporting factors in the management of the Sri Baduga Fountain Park tourism object consisted of: entertainment concept factors; The factor of application of Sundanese culture; and marketing factors, as for the inhibiting factors of the Sribaduga Fountain Park tourist attraction, including the condition of the supporting facilities; Water resource factor; and management funding factors. Researchers recommend that DISPORAPARBUD Purwakarta Regency be able to evaluate the concept of funding tourist attraction facilities; looking for water management concepts; and socializing the importance of implementing ticket-based payments and/or charges at Sri Baduga Fountain Park.

Abstract

For recent years, museum has played a strategic role in developing the knowledge of general society. This is due to its functions as a place to preserve and communicate cultural sources as well as a facilitator of studies and researches aiming at education mission and attractive alternative of recreation objects for the society. If it is well managed, the Yogyakarta Puro Pakualaman Museum is a potential site for the Entrance Gate and Landmark for the city of Yogyakarta as a special region. This research used the analyses of descriptive qualitative and interpretative. The collected data were obtained through analysis of documents, observations, and interviews. The analysis technique is interpreting the data so the understanding of the data is in accordance with the general objective of the research. The result of the study shows that the development of the Yogyakarta Puro Pakualaman Museum as a part of tourism destination through its function as education media can increase the visit to the museum.Keywords: Puro Pakualaman Museum, Education Media, Tourism Interest

Abstract

The village is a legal community unit that has territorial boundaries that are authorized to regulate and manage the interests of the local community based on local origins and customs that are recognized and respected in the system of Government of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (Undang undang Nomor 32 Tahun 2004). The purpose of this study is to explain and describe the Community Efforts in Penglipuran Tourism Village in implementing Sapta Pesona. The synergy between the community, government and other parties makes this Penglipuran village make this village the title of the cleanest village in the world. This predicate was given by TripAdvisor in 2016. This proves that the people in Penglipuran Tourism Village run Sapta Pesona well.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of marketing mix on purchasing decisions at PT. Tunas Indonesia Tours and Travel Yogyakarta branch. Marketing mix variables consist of 4 sub variables namely: Price (X1), Product (X2), Promotion (X3), and Place (X4). The population in this study is consumers who make purchases at PT. Tunas Tours and Travel Yogyakarta in 2016. Using non-random sampling method with purposive sampling technique with a sample of 100 respondents. In this study using is descriptive and quantitative using multiple linear regression method. The results showed that price and location or distribution variables have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. This is shown from the results of multiple linear regression test where both variables have P value less then of 5% and t arithmetic less then t table. While the product and promotion variables have an insignificant effect on purchasing decisions. This is shown from the results of multiple linear regression test of these variables have a value of P value is greater of 5% significant. The test results simultaneously, show the marketing mix has a significant influence in purchasing decisions where the test results proved P value less then of 0.05 or 5%Keywords: product, price, place, promotion, purchasing decision

Abstract

This study is intended to find out how much influence the attractiveness of the Maguwoharjo Football Stadium is as well as the accommodation or facilities to the interest of tourists or spectators who come to the Maguwoharjo Sleman football stadium. In this study using multiple linear regression analysis tools using survey methods with questionnaires as a data collection tool and involving 100 respondents who are all tourists or viewers who came and who had come to watch the match at the Maguwoharjo Sleman Football Stadium with the age range 17 to 50 years. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that all independent variables (Maguwoharjo Football Stadium Attractiveness and Accommodation or Facilities) have a positive and significant effect on the dependent variable (Tourist or Audience Interest) who come to the Maguwoharjo Sleman Football Stadium. This is proven to be variable. The attraction of Maguwoharjo Football Stadium and Accommodation or Facilities has a significance value smaller than alpha 0.05, this means that each independent variable has a significant effect on Tourist or Audience Interest. The input of this research is to provide insight and knowledge in the management of the Football stadium as one of the tourist attractions, so that it can be used as a consideration in making the decision to build the Maguwoharjo Sleman Football Stadium in terms of intersting many tourists or spectators.
