Abstract

Democracy is a word that is very popular among the people, almost all levels of society know and understand the meaning of democracy well. Democracy is part of a political system and government which, according to Abraham Lincoln, is defined as government by the people, to the people and for the people. Democracy is one concept that comes from the West. Democracy was only included in the treasury of Islamic thought in the mid-19th century because it was considered to have good values ​​for life and not conflict with Islamic values. Therefore, they tried to find the equivalent of the word democracy in Islamic teachings, then the term shura was found. In the discourse and studies on the relationship between Islam and democracy, there are three opinions expressed by Islamic thinkers and figures about the relationship between Islam and democracy. First, there is no separation between Islam and democracy. Democracy is inherent or an integral part of Islam. Second, between Islam and democracy have conflicting relations. Third, in the relationship between Islam and democracy the third group does not accept it fully and does not reject it completely. This polemic of thought is then analyzed and studied further in accordance with the cultural context of Indonesian society.

Abstract

This study deals with "Implementation of Islamic education values ​​to the MoGama tradition 'in the community of Nuangan 1 Village, Bolaang Mongondow Regency". The main discussion in this study is the view of Islam in the 13 implementation of the Gama 'tradition in the village of Nuangan 1 Bolaang Mongondow Regency, and the educational values ​​contained in the stages/implementation of the Gama' custom in the village of Nuangan 1. The purpose of this study is to find out the Islamic view in the 13 stages of the implementation of Gama' and the values ​​of education in the implementation of Gama' in the village of Nuangan 1. This research is qualitative descriptive and viewed with a qualitative approach. Data collection methods include: observation, interviews, documentation, while the data collection is obtained from village heads, traditional leaders, religious leaders and community leaders by presenting data, reducing data, and verifying data. The results of this study are (1) the Islamic view of adat gama' containing the values ​​of Islamic teachings, namely (a) glorifying women. (b) Gathering (c) please help. (d) courtesy of guest. Abstract

The story telling method is an activity of conveying the story of a story teller to the listener with the aim of providing information for the listener so that it can be used to recognize the emotions of themselves and others, and be able to do problem solving. To develop children's character and morals in this case students certainly cannot use inappropriate methods, one of them is the story telling method, such as telling religious leaders who struggle in spreading Islam, not just telling their struggle, but must tell the character and moral of the character, so that children in this case students can get to know even though they have never met the character, it is for Muslims, if it is Muslim, then the most important thing to tell is how the character and morals of the prophet Muhammad, the goal is that children are able to emulate and also follows all aspects of the principles possessed by the prophet Muhammad, by which story telling is very important to be applied to the development of character and morals of children.

Abstract

It is assumed that changes in village community will become even clearer if related to changes in village society at this time. Changes in society will look good in the fields of education, economics, social relations and other fields. Modernization is a change in society that moves from traditional conditions or from pre-modern society to modern society. The process of change was driven by various community efforts in fighting for their hopes and ideals, namely changing lives and existing livelihoods for the better. General characteristics of modernization are related to the fields of social social traditions, population science and technology and social mobility. The various fields are proceeding so as to achieve new patterns of behavior that are manifested in the life of modern society. Major changes that have taken place since the post-green revolution, villages in Southeast Asia have undergone fundamental changes. Rural life and the fulfillment of the needs of life of rural people in Southeast Asia have undergone a fundamental change, can no longer assume that the fulfillment of rural life needs are obtained from agriculture, nor can it assume that rural people face and expect their future in the field agriculture, these events affect each other or the interconnection between rural and urban areas, such as increased movement of rural people to cities or vice versa (urbanization and migration), the shift from agriculture to non-agriculture (agrarian-industrial transformation), as well as increased aspirations and education (social mobility Another thing that seems to change is lifestyle in the form of material, in this case related to household appliances, vehicles and communication tools.

Abstract

Based on the formulation of the problem of this research is how the form of code mixing in the interaction of Boladangko village community in the Kulawi district of Sigi district and the factors driving the code mix in the Community Interaction of Boladanko Village in the Kulawi District of Sigi district. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of mixed code speech in the interaction of Boladanko village, Kulawi sub-district, Sigi district. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Qualitative research methods are intended to describe the form of mixed code speech in the Boladangkokececity of Kulawi Sub-district, Sigi Regency. Based on the results of the study the authors found a mixture of the Kaili language code (Moma) and Indonesian. Mix the code because the speaker forgets the language of his area so that the speaker sometimes deliberately interferes with the code because of the habits and the ease of speech and changes in the way of communication between the speaker and the interlocutor. The following is code mixing data that occurs in the process of community interaction in Boladangko Village, Kulawi Subdistrict, Sigi Regency based on word class, namely, insertion of affixed elements, insertion of elements in the form of clauses, insertion of elements in the form of words and insertion of elements in the form of phrases. The driving factor for code mixing has more to do with the speaker, the speech partner, the function and purpose of the speaker, and the situation of the conversation. The driving factors for code mixing are extralinguistic and intralinguistic factors. Extralinguistic factors related to the character of the speaker such as background, social, religious sense, level of education, and regionalism. Intralinguistic factors relate to the absence of words in the Moma language that are capable of overseeing the concept referred to as the linguistic element that is inserted.

Abstract

The application of basic education in shaping the mentality and personality of the student regiment at IAIN Palu so that it can shape the mental and personality of the menwa members at IAIN Palu. The inhibiting factors in the process of applying basic education in boosting the mental and personality of the menwa in IAIN Palu are the equipment for training activities, the quantity of menwa in IAIN Palu, and the members of the menwa having difficulty spending time. Supporting factors are the support of the institute, the Central Sulawesi Menwa Commander, and the support of the Menwa alumni. The implementation of basic education in shaping mental and personality is the manifestation of the character of Cinta Tanah Air in the Student Regiment of the State Islamic Institute of Palu (IAIN) Palu which is carried out through education, coaching, and activities, in the implementation of basic education in shaping mental and personality in the Student Regiment of the Institute of Religion Islamic State (IAIN) Palu for Guides and Senior Student Regiments should be more active, and need to be regulated in a specific regulation, to be more clear and detailed.

Abstract

This study aimed to obtain information about (1) Is there any influence parenting parents on student achievement class XI IPS SMAN 5 Palu. (2) Is there any influence of motivation on student achievement class XI IPS SMAN 5 Palu. The method used is descriptive quantitative method. The population of as many as 133 students at SMAN 5 Palu. Total sample as many as 57 people using Proportional sampling techniques. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire Likert scale models, observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis technique that is the first data reduction, data presentation, and draw conclusions. The results showed that: First, there is the influence of Parenting Students (X1) to the learning achievement (Y), parenting applied in SMA Negeri 5 Hammers Class XI IPS namely Democratic Parenting With the percentage rate of 35,73%. In this case of course the child's success in school with high academic achievement can not be separated from parenting parents, the family is the first social group where children can interact. Family influence in the formation and development of personality is very large. Second, From the analysis it is known that the implications of the results of motivation on learning achievement has significant impact on the increase in student motivation. Motivation of students at SMAN 5 Hammers Class XI IPS can already be said to be good with a percentage of 63.44%. Motivation resulting in students not be separated from the teachers themselves. A student learning because it is driven by the power of mental form of desires, concerns, wishes, or ideals, mental strength and can be classified as low and high depending on the efforts of teachers to encourage students and reward so that students feel able to be better.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship patterns of parents, teachers, and peers in supporting children's achievement abilities in mathematics, Indonesian, and science subjects. This research is qualitative, the data method used the method of observation, interviews, and documentation. Checking the credibility of the data using triangulation. Research result; (1) Parents in supporting children's achievements, namely parents as givers of security, parents spend time with children communicating, parents help and control children's activities, parents respect, and respect children with all aspects of their existence. (2) Teachers in supporting children's achievement, namely teachers as controllers of children's activities, provide opportunities for children to learn according to their learning styles, teachers are creative in finding learning approaches, teachers as motivators and accept students as a whole. (3) Peers in supporting children's achievement, namely peers are willing to spend time with them and carry out joint activities, peers provide resources and assistance when needed, peers help children feel that they are children who can do something worthy. warm, trusting, and close relationships with others.

Abstract

The education system as we know it today is the result of educational developments that have grown in the history of our nation's experience. There have been some writings discussing the regulations of education policy in Indonesia from time to time, but this paper examines the comparison of education policies from the Old Order era to the implementation of education policies to the work cabinet period. Through a literature review, this paper aims to describe how education policy regulations in Indonesia were during the Old Order, New Order, Reform, and Work Cabinet Periods. The results of this study reveal as has been explained in the discussion, that during the New Order era education only took place in terms of quantity without being matched by quality developments. In this period, it is to create as many educated graduates as possible without producing quality teaching and educational outcomes. The curricula used at this time were the 1968 curriculum, the 1975 curriculum, the 1984 curriculum, and the 1994 curriculum. However, education in the next period during the New Order period was not said to be fully successful, so in the next period of the reform period, improvements were needed, both in the field of curriculum. as well as in terms of the teaching staff. The curricula used in this reform era are the Competency-Based Curriculum (KBK) and the Education Unit Level Curriculum (KTSP), and K13.

Abstract

This study is oriented towards Durkheim's theoretical analysis of social theories in the context of the sociology of education. This study aims to reveal the perspective and construction of Durkheim's sociological views of education and its relevance in the current social phenomena of education. With a descriptive analysis approach through literature studies, it is concluded that the dimensions of Durkheim's social theory, with the paradigm of social facts, appear in the elements forming social cohesion or social solidarity, division of labor in society, new social implications that give rise to anomie symptoms, community development and suicide (scuidi ), religion and morality, and collective values. Durkheim recommends that social studies, including the study of education, be carried out according to empirical standards with a major focus on social facts. Durkheim has contributed to the construction of the education system with a sociological approach based on a functional structural approach and a theory of social facts, social solidarity, and morals. Durkheim emphasized educational buildings based on strengthening the values ​​of collective awareness, plus providing knowledge and skills of students to survive in life.
