Abstract

Astropolitics is a focus of study that defines the interrelationship of the space field, technology, and the development of political, military, and strategic policies. In this era, astropolitics became field of interest for some countries in the world especially developed countries, including the United States. Therefore, the United States formed a space force that aims to avoid the threat of outer space and guard the territory. This was done by the United States because the outer space domain was considered to be one of the new domains of terrestrial war, which was also intended as an arena for the race for ballistic missiles and military navigation satellites. The formation of the United States Space Forces is also the response of the United States government under the leadership of Donald Trump to the development of missile defense technology and space military which was also developed by Russia and China.

Abstract

This paper discusses how the democratization process that took place for the first time in Egypt, which was marked by the election of President Mohammad Morsi and the victory of Islamic groups' votes in parliament through this general election, did not run smoothly. The military, which has long been in an important position in Egypt, is not standing still. The democratic process in Egypt was marred by the coup carried out by the military group against the Morsi government on July 3, 2013. Through an analysis based on pretorian theory and the concept of military intervention in politics, this paper shows the dominance of the military as a very dominant actor in Egypt. Pretorian theory, in particular, emphasizes the dominant role of the military in all important political institutions, including political leaders. The military, which was previously allied with the Muslim Brotherhood and supported the Egyptian revolution that resulted in the ouster of President Mubarak, turned into opponents when IM won a majority in the Egyptian parliamentary elections. The military saw that the voice of Islamic groups was no longer in line with its interests, so the 2013 coup against Muhammad Morsi took place.

Abstract

This study examines the usefulness of commitments in G20 Riyadh Summit Leaders’ Declaration for Indonesian national development. The analytical method applied in this study consists of mapping analysis, qualitative text analysis, and critical discourse analysis. Through the three sets of analytical methods, this study develops three key identifications. First, identification of commitments in G20 Riyadh Summit Leaders’ Declaration which substantially contains the development agenda. Second, identification of commitments in G20 Riyadh Summit Leaders’ Declaration that are concomitant and in accordance with Indonesia's development priorities. Third, identification of commitments in development issue that urged to be implemented through diplomacy. The three identifications indicate at least two findings. First, 'synchronization', adjustments between the global agenda and policies, both policies that have been set and policies that have been formulated. Second, balance of national interests with values that are considered as the Global Common Goods.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to get out of the problem of myanmar military coup, especially fellow member states in a region in terms of the presence or absence of upheaval from various aspects such as: social, economic, political, defense and security. The incident in February 2021 was recorded as the second coup that occurred in Myanmar. In responding to the political crisis that occurred in Myanmar, ASEAN seems to find it difficult to get out of the principle of non-interference, where the political crisis that occurred in one of the ASEAN countries became the internal affairs of the country concerned. ASEAN must be gentler to intervene and exert pressure through a heartfelt attitude such as the threat of removing Myanmar from ASEAN if the military leader is not willing to end the coup. This is a challenge for ASEAN, because stability in the ASEAN region will be further disrupted if the rejection of reconciliation cannot be carried out in the future. This research will apply the Regional Security Approach and the Human Security Approach which is considered appropriate to be applied to this research. The method used in writing this journal is descriptive qualitative with the data collection technique using the library research method. Research shows that the influence of Myanmar's military coup on the stability of the ASEAN Region is increasingly felt. ASEAN must learn how to apply the concept of non-intervention more flexibly to the Myanmar issue.

Abstract

The phenomenon of sexual violence against children is increasingly common and has become global in almost all countries. Cases of sexual violence against children continue to increase from time to time. The increase is not only in terms of quantity or number of cases, but also in terms of quality. Thailand is one of the countries with the largest number of cases of child sex tourism in the world. Prostitution in Thailand plays a role in the country's economy. Ironically, most of Thailand's national income comes from the sex tourism sector. The issue of Human Security in Thailand has caused a decline in the image of the Thai state due to the many perspectives and poor responses on the issue of sexual violence. The reason is because of the history passed down from generation to generation since the Ayuthya era (1350-1767), economic problems, community culture, poverty levels, so that cases of sexual violence against children and women in Thailand are still ongoing today. The researcher uses a descriptive-analytical approach which collects various literature studies, composes, interprets the data, which is then analyzed to obtain valid data. By using the concept of Human Security and International Organizations to analyze the response of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), which is under the auspices of the United Nations, which emphasizes various issues related to children's rights, it is necessary to assist the Thai government in dealing with cases of child violence that occurred in Thailand. Then the results of the study show that based on the response from UNICEF and through several Remote Sexual Assault control programs, it has not been able to fully minimize sexual violence against children in Thailand.

Abstract

China's success is due to the Go Out policy. Xi Jinping became the party that gave China a new form in regional and world competition through the Belt Road Initiative cooperation campaign. This cooperation has convergence with the interests of Southeast Asian countries, on the one hand they want deepening economic cooperation facilities, on the other hand infrastructure development assistance. This research uses an infrastructure diplomacy approach which assesses that the promotion of cooperation offered by China to Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines cannot be seen as an ordinary form of cooperation, but as an effort by Beijing's administration to build a hegemonic image in the Southeast Asian region based on geo- economy, while on the commercial side BRI's presence is a continuation of the Go Out policy, namely the internationalization of SOEs in infrastructure development cooperation relations.

Abstract

The old economic globalization has come to a halt. Most scholars have considered the current model of economic globalization, and the new path of globalization is to inherit the parts of neoliberal economic globalization that benefit economic growth while reforming the parts that are insufficient. Many academics have backed China's "Belt and Road" initiative (BRI) as a platform for jointly exploring a new type of globalization in this context. Based on a brief overview of the economic globalization development process, this article investigates how the BRI reflects the characteristics of inclusive globalization in its policies. Equal opportunity, balanced benefits, shared development, and openness are the four characteristics investigated. This article demonstrates, using qualitative methods and a literature review, that BRI has fulfilled all of these characteristics of inclusive globalization, with a wide range of programs carried out under the BRI scheme. In Exconclusion, BRI can be used as a "role model" for implementing inclusive globalization.
