Abstract

Dipterocarpus littoralis known locally as pelahlar, is a producer of endemic commercial wood in Nusakambangan. Pelahlar habitat that is isolated in one island and a narrow genetic distribution causes the risk of extinction of this species is increasing. The effort to conserve rare flora can be done by monitoring and observation the balance of essential nutrients at the site of growth. So we need a system that is able to monitor the balance of essential nutrients and pH in the soil to support the growth of rare flora based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This system consists of a sensor station and a central gate station that is connected based on a star network. scheduling of sending data from the sensor station to the gate station is determined from the results of competition between sensor stations based on the backoff of each sensor station. through this scheme an increase in throughput and collision values is based on the number of sensor stations. From our proposed scheme, it is found that the more sensor stations that compete, the smaller the value of the throughput of the system.

Abstract

A brief overview and comparison of methods to utilize the Natural Gas Combustion Flue stream. An increase in natural gas usage as fuel and its unique combustion characteristics call for specific waste heat optimization methods. Successful natural gas combustion flue waste heat utilization methods exhibit certain phenomenons. From the overview, it is also discovered that the common waste heat method can be applied to natural gas combustion flue, although the specific condition is required. This paper divides the methods into three categories, non-contact heat exchanger, direct-contact heat exchanger, and thermoelectric generations. Discussions on the result and what affects it are present as well as further studies that can be conducted to expand our scope of knowledge of the subject.

Abstract

Rechargeable battery plays an important role to support the implementation of clean and renewable energy. In this aspect, post Li-ion battery, such as Zn-ion battery is receiving great attention due to its low cost and enviromentally friendly. Therefore, studies of electrode materials for Zn-ion battery are of paramount importance. In this contribution, we present theoretical investigation to explore the potential use of tunnel-type manganese dioxide for zinc storage material. Our calculation suggests the stability of the material for Zn-ion battery application.

Abstract

Boyolali district is one of the areas that has decreased productivity of rice. The decline was due to acidic soil conditions coupled with a lack of awareness of farmers and lack of support for facilities and infrastructure. Basically, to find out the conditions of the soil can be done by detecting the soil using a pH meter. The tool is not widely used because the price is expensive and the farmers care less about the conditions of their paddy fields. The aim of this program is to empower the farming group to be the agent of land rehabilitation through early detection of CurcuMarvel using tumeric. Soil detection devices can be innovated using turmeric. Turmeric that is easily found and familiar among farmers is the solution to the problem of detecting soil conditions. The target was Sari Tani Farming Group located in Suyudan Village , Boyolali Regency. The program involved 10 farmers as the representative of the farmer group. Empowerment programs were conducted by combining several methods, including participatory, discourse, demonstration, and discussion. The activities of CurcuMarvel consist of: (1) transferring information using educational video; (2) demonstrating the soil acidity detection in one of the farmer's paddy fields; (3) land rehabilitation efforts by applying dolomite, manure, and biological fertilizer in the demonstration plot; and (4) turmeric cultivation training in the farmer's yard to prepare the village as the turmeric cultivation center. The outcomes of the program are: (1) the farmers know that their paddy land is acid; (2) the farmers increase their awareness towards the soil acidity effect; (3) the farmers conduct soil rehabilitation; and (4) the farmers have a turmeric center near to the paddy field.

Abstract

E-commerce is growing rapidly in Indonesia. In fact, the number of e-commerce transactions in Indonesia is the largest in Southeast Asia in 2019. This has a major impact on logistics service providers because the e-commerce trading system requires logistical intermediaries between sellers and buyers. Therefore, logistics companies are developing rapidly to achieve this opportunity so that each company competes to become the best logistics company. Companies become competitive if they have a good business process. So that the effectiveness and efficiency of the supply chain are two important things so that the company becomes sustainable. This research is basically qualitative study where the business process development of PT Z is carried out to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply chain through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Benchmarking. Through a systematic process, more effective and efficient business process are obtained from the perspective of information flow, financial flow, and flow of goods.
