Abstract

The problem of this research was is cooperative learning teaching model STAD type by using manipulatives more effective than conventional teaching model to study result especially comprehension aspect concept of students class VI first semester SDN 15 south Bengkulu school year 2015/2016 at area of a circle material. The objective of this research was to find out which one was more effective between Mathematic teaching  model cooperative learning STAD type by using manipulatives and conventional teaching model to study result in comprehension aspect concept of students class VI first semester SDN 15 south Bengkulu school year 2015/2016 at area of a circle material. The population of this research was the whole students of class VI first semester SDN 15 south Bengkulu school year 2015/2016. By using random sampling technique was elected class VIA as an experimental group anol class VIB as a control group, each groups consist of 20 students. The Experimental group was given teaching by using cooperative learning STAD treatment. While for the control group by using conventional learning treatment. Based on this research was found out that mean of experimental group = 66,45 and mean of a control group = 65,68. With n1 = 20 and n2 = 20 it was gained tobtain = 2,884. With equal evident 5% and dk= 78 it was gained ttable = 1,98. Because of tobtain ttable it could be concluded that mathematic teaching at sub material area of a circle with cooperative learning model STAD type by using manipulatives was better than conventional teaching and learning.                  Keywords: cooperative learning STAD type, using manipulatives, area of a circle.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to understand the concept with learning Bamboo Dance better than the ability to understand the concept with conventional learning VII grade students of SMP N 03 Sungai Lala. The type of this research is experimental research, with class VII B as an experimental class totaling 26 students and VII  A as a control class with 25 students, the research design used was Randomized Subjects posttes only control group design. The results of the calculation of the hypothesis test obtained thitung = 3.159 and t table = 2.009. Because thitung is in the rejection area of H0, meaning that the average understanding ability of students' mathematical concepts with the application of the Bamboo Dance model is better than the average ability to understand mathematical concepts of students with conventional learning on line and angle material in class VII of Sungai Lala SMP Negeri 3.Keywords: Understanding the concept, Bamboo Dancing

Abstract

This research was took based on the low ability of Mathematical Problem Solving by students. The objective at this research was there were any impact teaching Models Discovery Learning Using Brainstorming Methods toward students’ ability in Mathematical Problem Solving at grade VIII SMP Al-Ikhlas Lubuklinggau in academic years 2019/2020. The research method used is of pure experiments. The population in this experiment is all of Students grade  VIII SMP Al-Ikhlas Lubuklinggau that consist of 73 students and the sample as exsperimental class was VIII.A and as the class control was VIII.B.In collecting the data the researcher used test. The data that was collected, it was analysed by z-test .The result showed that at level of sicnificances 𝛼 = 0,05, it can be concluded that there were impact teaching Models Discovery Learning Using Brainstorming Methods toward students’ ability in Mathematical Problem Solving at grade VIII SMP Al-Ikhlas Lubuklinggau in academic years 2019/2020. The avarage of students’ score in Mathematical Problem Solvingability after being threated in the class experiment is 17,03 andcontrol class is 13,65Keywords : Discovery learning, Brainstorming, Mathematical problem solving

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research with design several cycles which aims to know the improvement of the student ability on the mathematical understanding that using CORE type of cooperative learning. The research subjects were the seventh graders at SMP Muhammadiyah Integrated of Bengkulu City. the Instrument used in this research is a test sheet. As for the conclusion of this result research is, through the application of CORE type learning on the subject of waking flat trapezoidal at the seventh graders at SMP Muhammadiyah Integrated of Bengkulu City, the students’ mathematical understanding of each indicator has reached a predetermined success criterion, incluiding: the first cycle in a number of indicators that are in both categories are still not reaching the success criteria specified but at the second cycle of the entire indicators of the ability of mathematical understanding already be in either categories and the ability of mathematical understanding has achieved success criteria specified.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the results from the effectiveness of the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFaE) the learning model on students' mathematical communication skills at one of the private schools in Tangerang city in the 2018/2019 academic year with the topic of sequences and series. In this research the method used a Quasi Experimental with research designs The Nonequivalent Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. This study uses classes that are already available. The research sample used is clas XI MIPA 1 as many as 35 students as the experimental class and class XI MIPA 3 as many as 35 students as the control class. Data is collected from the result of the pretest and posttest mathematical communication skills that student work with the number of valid questions that 15 of 20 questions. Data were analyzed using a two-party test. Based on this research of this study states that the Student Facilitator and Explaining (SFaE) learning model effects the mathematical communication ability of students at SMA one of the private schools in Tangerang city which obtained a mean score of 26,97 with a standard deviasi of 5,576 with a significance level of 0,05 and obtained the influence of 0,656 which includes moderate interpretations.Keywords : Student Facilitator and Explaining, Mathematical Communication

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match pada siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Batang Gansal. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan beberapa siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi pada setiap siklusnya. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes observasi dan pemahaman konsep matematika. Hasil tes pemahaman konsep matematika dianalisis kemudian dibandingkan dengan kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM), sedangkan KKM yang ditentukan untuk mata pelajaran matematika adalah 72. Berdasarkan uji hipotesis penelitian, data hasil pemahaman konsep matematika siswa diperoleh pada pra siklus, siklus I dan siklus II. Dari 43 siswa tersebut, jumlah siswa yang mencapai KKM pada prasiklus sebanyak 22 siswa atau 51,18%, siklus I sebanyak 24 siswa atau 55,81%, dan siklus II sebanyak 35 siswa atau 81,40%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match.Katakunci: pemahaman konsep matematika, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match

Abstract

The purpose of the study was found out the differences in students' mathematical communication skills learning model based on problem learning, the cooperative Jigsaw type and conventional learning model. The learned model which the results was better differences in students' mathematical communication between learning models problem based learning (PBL), the learned models cooperative jigsaw type, and the models conventional junior high school students. This type of the research was quasi experiment. This research was conducted at SMP N 10 of Bengkulu at VIII grade 1st  in the academic year 2017/2018. The population of this study was all students of the class VIII consisting of 5 classes. The sample of the research was chosen at randomly that VIII A was given a learning model cooperative jigsaw type, and class VIII D was given a conventional learning model. Mathematical ability of the students gathered with mathematical communication ability test, This test consists of pre-test and post-test. The data was analyzed with one-way ANOVA, followed by BNT test. The results showed that there were differences between students' mathematical communication skills in PBL models,jigsaw models and conventional models. The test was results further suggested was not the difference in the ability of the differences between PBL with Jigsaw. While conventional and jigsaw, PBL with conventional differences.based on the average score of the three models of mathematical communication skills learning, PBL learning model provides results of mathematical communication skills was better. Keywords: communication ability, problem based learning, jigsaw

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of students' understanding of mathematical concepts to learning mathematics. Therefore, it is necessary to use a model that is capable of learning to improve students' understanding of mathematical concepts one of which is a cooperative learning model make a match. This study aims to determine the activity of students and teachers in the learning process and to determine the improvement of students' comprehension of mathematical concepts using cooperative learning model make a match. This study was conducted on 10 April to 10 May 2014 in the Junior High School 13, the city of Bengkulu. Research subjects of this study were all students of class VII C to determine the increase in activity and the ability of understanding the concept of using observation sheets of students and teachers to see what students and teachers during the learning process, then performed a pre-test to determine the ability of beginning students and post-test to determine the ability of the student understanding of mathematical concepts as applied to cooperative learning model make a match on each cycle. Based  results of data analysis it can be concluded that an increase in student activity, the activity of the teacher in the learning process and the increasing ability of understanding mathematical concepts students each cycle.Keywords:understanding the concept, make a match

Abstract

This study aims to (1) find out the activities of teachers and students during the implementation of mathematics learning activities by applying Think Pair Share (TPS) learning model, (2) knowing the improvement of students' mathematical communication skills on geometry. Based on the results of observations made by researchers, the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share (TPS) type has been going well. Teacher activities and student activities are in a good category, this can be seen from the average score of teacher activity in the first cycle reached 20.75 (good), in the second cycle to 23.25 (good). While the average observation score of students in the first cycle reached 13.75 (enough), in the second cycle it increased to 19.5 (good). The results of the communication skills test in the first cycle were in the adequate category (55.56% of 36 students) and in the next cycle increased to a good category (72.22% of 36 students). From the results of the tests in the second cycle, the study was stopped because it had reached the expected criteria, namely the number of students in good category ≥ 70% of 36 students. Thus it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model of the Think Pair Share (TPS) type can improve the mathematical communication skills of students in class X MIPA 1 of SMAN 7 Bengkulu City.Keywords : Think Pair Share Learning Model, Mathematical Communication Ability

Abstract

The objective at this research was there were any impact teaching model  IMPROVE with  Accelerated Learning Method toward students’ ability in understanding the concept of mathematics at grade VIII MTs Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau in academic years 2019/2020. The method at this research was True Eksperimental Design. The population was all students grade VII that consist of 288 students and the sample as exsperimental class VIII.1 and as the class control was VIII.3. In collecting the data the researcher used test. The data that was collected, it was analysed by t-test. The result showed that level of sicnificances  = 0,05, it can be concluded that there were impact teaching model IMPROVE with Accelerated Learning Method toward students’ ability in understanding the concept of mathematics at grade VIII MTs Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau in academic yeas 2019/2020. The avarage of students’ score in understanding the concept of mathematics after giving threatment in the class experiment were 56.40 and control class was 40,90.
