Abstract

The ability to think in humans are naturally including the ability to think mathematically. Many activities conducted in the thought process among others see the possibilities that exist, making analysis and synthesis to reason or draw conclusions from the existing premises, weigh adan decided. Thinking activities in this section is closely associated with the process of probabilistic thinking. The thought process is one of the high-level thinking skills. However, there are still many students who have not been able to develop thinking skills to solve problems probabilistic.This caused one of them is still weak reasoning ability of students, especially in solving problems such as permutation and combination opportunities. In addressing this issue, we need a good analysis and the whole picture, so that it can provide the right solution. The analysis can give an overview to the problem is to consider the level of probabilistic thinking as developed by Jones were split into four levels of thinking that is subjective, transitional, informal quantitative and numerical. The results obtained from the test sheets and interviews show that the thinking of students Class XI SMA Negeri 9 of Bengkulu in resolving the permutations and combinations in general are still at the level of the transitional thinking. Students are still experiencing a process of change of the thought process based on his experience of being thought processes of quantification. Keywords: probabilistic thinking process, permutations, combinations

Abstract

In this research aims to see the difference of mathematical problem solving students with Guided Inquiry learning model and Means Ends Analysis (MEA) learning model. This research was a quasi-experimental research in SMPN 14 Kota Bengkulu. The population of this research is all of VIII class students, with the sample of research is VIII I class as the experimental class I that given using guided inquiry model treatment, students of class VIII 3 as the experimental class II that given Means Ends Analysis model treatment, students of class VIII 2 as the control class that given conventional model treatment. The data collection of students result study using mathematical problem solving skills test consists of pre-test and post-test. The data obtained were analyzed using one path ANAVA and continued with BNT test. Based on the ANAVA result there is a difference between students' mathematical problem solving abilities in experimental class I, experimental class II and control class. From the BNT test that the treatment between experimental class I given the Guided Inquiry, Experimental class II treatment given the Means Ends Analysis  treatment no difference in mathematical problem solving ability, while experimental class I (Guided Inquiry) with control and experimental class II Means Ends Analysis with the control there is a difference in problem solving abilities mathematically and the highest average score was obtained in the students treated with the Guided Inquiry model.  Keywords : Ability of Mathematical Problem Solving Students, Guided Inquiry Model, Means Ends Analysis Model

Abstract

One of purposes that want get in the mathematics lesson, According to Permendikbud Number 58, 2014 is ability of mathematical communication. The ability of mathematical communication can be facilitated on learning model of ELPSA (Experiences, Language, Pictures, Symbols, Application). Kinds of this research is descriptive, which aims to describe students mathematical communication abilities based on indicators on the ELPSA  learning model in grade VIIIA Junior Hight School number 10 south Bengkulu. The data obtained through skills test, mathematical communication and interview. Then, it analysis with some steps such as, data reduction, presentation of data, verify data dan draw condutions. The result of this research show that it has been able to achieve three indicators which are desired that is express the ideas and mathematic information on understand and evaluation the mathematic ideas, using terms, mathematical notations its structure, and present ideas. Keywords: Mathematical Communication Skill, ELPSA Model

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dari permasalahan siswa dalam belajar matematika, seperti siswa beranggapan bahwa matematika merupakan mata pelajaran yang sulit dan kurang diminati. Anggapan tersebut muncul karena siswa kurang aktif, tidak serius dalam mengerjakan soal dan rasa ingin tahu yang kurang serta banyak memilih bermain dalam belajar matematika. Disaat pembelajaran berlangsung ditemukan siswa yang tertawa karena sibuk dengan aktivitasnya sendiri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ada peningkatan pemahaman konsep matematika melalui penggunaan Alat Peraga Dakon. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes pemahaman konsep matematika dan observasi.  Dari hasil tes yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa persentase ketuntasan 83,87% dengan target ketuntasan 75%. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan alat peraga dakon matematika dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika siswa.Kata kunci: penggunaan dakon matematika, pemahaman konsep matematika

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research aims to study enhancement of solving ability of student SMP Negeri 3 Muara Enim  through Situation Based Learning (SBL) system. The method of this research is quasi experiment with pretest and posttest group design. Pupulation in this research that is  all class VIII  SMP N 3 Muara Enim, taken sample taken of two classed that class VIII.D many as 28 students as a class of experiment  that  get Situation Based Learning (SBL) system, and class VIII.C as much  29 students as a control class get conventional learning system. The instrument used in this study it test mathematical problem solving abilities in the form of essay questions that have been empirically validated. Data analysis uses N-Gain test and T test (Independent Sample t-Tes), with a prerequisite test first namely the test for normality and homogeneity. Based on the analysis of the data, the results obtained in this study stated that an increase in mathematical problem solving abilities of student of SMP Negeri 3 Muara Enim who obtained a Situation Based Learning (SBL) system was higher than students who received conventional learning. Keywords :Situation Based Learning (SBL), Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine an effect of the application of the social media-based learning community learning model on the learning outcomes of class XII students of SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu for the 2018/2019 academic year. The research method used is a pure experimental method with a research design form Posttest Only Control Design. The T-test results obtained by an average attitude assessment learning result are as follows: the value of spiritual attitudes between the experimental class and the control class assuming homogeneous data (Equal variances assumed) is obtained a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 0.05, with tcount = 6.652 1.668 = ttable (0.05: 67). Assessment of social attitudes obtained a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0,000 0.05, with tcount = 3,742 1,668 = ttable (0.05: 67). Comparison of the average learning outcomes of the knowledge value with the assumption of homogeneous data, the sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.000 0.05, with tcount = 5.477 1.669 = ttable (0.05: 65). While the assessment of skills obtained a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.002 0.05, with t = 2.469 1.668 = ttable (0.05: 67). Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded "There is a significant difference in the application of the learning learning model. social media-based community on student learning outcomes in class XII at SMA Negeri 7 Bengkulu City.Keywords: Learning community, schoology, learning achievement

Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in learning outcomes of class VIII.F SMP Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu in the academic year 2017-2018 in solving questions on SPLDV material through the implementation of cooperative learning with peer tutors.The subjects of this study were 34 students of VIII.F  of SMP Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu. Data collected includes: student learning outcomes, teacher observation results, student observation results. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle includes 4 (four) stages, namely: planning, action, observation (observation) and reflection. In this study it is said to be successful if at least 75% of students get a value of ≥60.The results of this study shows that the first cycle of learning outcomes is not yet appropriate with the expectation. There are only 55,88% of students who reach completeness. It means that the indicator of success has not been achieved, while in cycle II shows thatlearning outcomes are in line with expectations. There are 88,24% of students who reach completeness. It means that indicators of success have been achieved.Based on the analysis of the research results it can be concluded that through the implementation of cooperative learning with peer tutors can improve the learning outcomes of grade VIII.F SMP Negeri 2 Kota Bengkulu in the school year 2017-2018 in solving questions on SPLDV material. Thus it is recommended that Mathematics teacher associates in the teaching and learning process use cooperative learning models with peer tutors so that student learning outcomes are better. Keywords: learning outcome, peer tutors

Abstract

Mathematical creative thinking ability is the ability of students in generating new ideas to solve mathematical problems. To develop mathematical creative thinking abilities of students, teachers must have and implement a learning model that fits in the learning process. Learning model that can be used to measure students' ability to think creatively mathematical namely the model of inquiry learning and teaching model . This study aims to determine whether the inquiry learning model in individually and together better than conventional. This research is a quasi experimental research with the population of students class X SMAN 01 Mukomuko The sample in this study is student class X 3 and class X 1 as a class experiment and X 2 as a class control. This study was conducted in April-May 2015. Data was collected using a mathematical creative thinking ability test. Data were analyzed using statistical tests Anova test of the lanes and the Advanced Test (BNT). Based on calculations obtained Anava no difference mathematically creative thinking abilities of students in class experimen I, experiment II, and class control. Based on the test of Least Significant Difference (LSD) showed that three treatments give different results. Based average value the final test learning  and conventional learning in develop student to think creatively mathematical good to teacher or a student. Keywords : Creative Thinking Mathematically, Inquiry

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Realistic Mathematics Education models on the ability of mathematics literacy of fifth grade students of the XIV Cluster Elementary School in Bengkulu City. This research is a quantitative research. The method used is quasy experimental with desigen type is the matching only pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this study was the elementary school cluster XIV Bengkulu City. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The sample in this study was class V at SDN 42 Bengkulu City as an experimental class and class V at SDN 24 Bengkulu City as a control class. The research instrument used in the form of a test sheet in the form of a description of 4 squestions. Taking the test twice, namely before and after learning takes place in the experimental and control classes. Based on the t-test calculation of the students' posttest results, where tcount= 4.09 and ttable = 2.07. Because tcountttable, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference on the use of realistic mathematics education models on the ability of mathematics literacy of fifth grade students in the XIV group of Bengkulu city.Keywords: Realistic Mathematics Education, Mathematical Literacy Ability

Abstract

The Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) learning model is a learning model that has the design of constructing students' abilities by connecting and organizing knowledge, then rethinking the concept being studied. The purpose of this study is to find out whether or not the influence of the learning model Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending the ability of mathematical connections, and to find out the motivation of students learning at SMK YP Gajah Mada Palembang. The population in this study were all students of class XI, amounting to 420. The sample taken in this study was class XI TITL 4, totaling 30 students as an experimental class taught using the CORE learning model and class XI TPM totaling 27 people as a control class taught using conventional learning. The design of the experimental method used is Posttest-Only Control Design. Data collection techniques using test and non-test techniques. Data were analyzed using an independent sample t test, with a significance level of 5%. The results of this study are that there is a significant influence between the learning models of Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending (CORE) on the ability of mathematical connections and motivation to learn students of SMK YP Gajah Mada Palembang.  Keywords: CORE, Mathematical connection, learning motivation
