Abdimas Madani
Jurnal Kesehatan Medika Madani (JKMM) or Madani Medika Health Journal is a scientific media publication that publishes original research papers, review articles and case studies that focus on nursing, midwifery, pharmacy, public health and related topics, published by the Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM) of STIKES Madani Yogyakarta or Research and Community Service Unit of STIKES Madani Yogyakarta. JKMM is published twice in one year, namely in June and December. Madani Medika Health Journal accepts publications from universities, government agencies, institutions that have activities in research, science and technology. Manuscripts to be published are the results of selection by peer review using a blind review system and approved by the editorial board, and have never been published in other scientific journals. The scopes of the journal are: Nursing: including Pediatric, Management, Medical Surgical, Maternity, mental health, community, Geriatric, Emergency, Hemodialysis, Critical, Pre-operative, Family, complementary and holistic, health education, and palliative nursing. Midwifery: including pregnancy, childbirth, pathology midwifery, neonates, toddlers, community midwifery, reproductive health, family planning, complementary, and holistic midwifery Pharmacy: including pharmacology and toxicology, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical technology, community pharmacy, pharmaceutical chemistry, chemical analysis, pharmaceutical physics, natural products, pharmacy and hospital pharmacy practices, case studies and clinical trials Public Health: including Epidemiology, Environmental Health, Occupational Safety Health, Bio-statistics and Population, Health Promotion, Reproductive Health, Nutrition and Public Health, Mother and Child Health, Administrative and Health Policy and Health Management.

<![CDATA[Pencegahan penyakit dan promosi kesehatan merupakan upaya esensial disaat masih tingginya kejadian penyakit menular dan semakin meningkatnya penyakit tidak menular (PTM). Permasalahan yang terjadi di Desa Jepangrejo, Kecamatan Blora, Kabupaten Blora adalah kurangnya pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku tentang Gerakan Masyarakat Hidup Sehat (GERMAS) dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Hal inilah yang menjadi alasan dibuatnya program pengabdian masyarakat oleh mahasiswa beserta dosen yang dituangkan dalam beberapa kegiatan, yaitu : penyuluhan GERMAS, penyuluhan PHBS, kegiatan senam sehat, pemeriksaan tensi gratis, penyuluhan cuci tangan pakai sabun dan penyuluhan tentang pemenuhan gizi seimbang. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan warga tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dan kebersihan, meningkatkan sikap yang positif terhadap perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat, serta meningkatkan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penyuluhan, komunikasi persuasif dan demonstrasi. Dalam proses penyuluhan dilakukan evaluasi hasil penyuluhan dengan instrumen kuisioner tanya jawab, hasil kuisioner dianalisis deskriptif. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah meningkatnya pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku warga Desa Jepangrejo untuk menerapkan budaya hidup bersih dan sehat dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.]]>

<![CDATA[Keluarga Berencana sebagai salah satu upaya pemerintah dalam menurunkan AKI. Keluarga Berencana sebagai salah satu upaya pemerintah dalam menurunkan AKI. Tujuan pengabdian untuk meningkatkan kemandirian WUS dalam mendeteksi komplikasi penggunaan alat kontrasepsi.Pengabdian telah dilaksanakan di Kelompok ummahat Binbaz Islamic Centre, Desa Sitimulyo, Kecamatan Piyungan, Kabupaten Bantul, DIY. Pelaksanaan pengabdian selama dua bulan, yaitu Agustus-September 2018. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat dilihat pada antusiasme WUS untuk memahami tentang tugasnya menjaga kesehatan melalui pola makan, istirahat, personal hygiene selama menggunakan alkon, bagaimana mendeteksi kemungkinan efek samping yang dialami dari alkon yang digunakannya dan apa yang harus diputuskan jika tubuhnya mengalami gangguan dan efek samping dari alkon KB yang digunakannya. Kelompok ummahat Binbaz Islamic Cen Dedication has been carried out at the Binbaz Islamic Center ummahat group, Sitimulyo Village, Piyungan District, Bantul Regency, DIY. Implementation of service for two months, namely August-September 2018. The purpose of the service is to increase the independence of WUS in detecting complications of contraceptive use. The results of this dedication activity can be seen in the enthusiasm of WUS to understand its task of maintaining health through diet, rest, personal hygiene while using alkon, how to detect possible side effects experienced by the alkon used and what must be decided if the body experiences disturbances and effects side of the KB alkon used. <![CDATA[Food additives (BTP) are substances commonly used in processing food ingredients such as coloring, flavoring, developers, sweeteners, and preservatives. The purpose of the addition is to provide flavor, aroma, attractive appearance and food ingredients that are not easily damaged and last longer. Borax is one of the food additives that can improve the elasticity and good texture of food. Consumption of food containing borax continuously will have a negative impact on health. Therefore, borax is prohibited from being used as food additives. There are many studies that showed detection of borax uses extracts from natural product. Detection of borax can use hibiscus flower extract, turmeric, and infused water of peel of dragon fruit. This counseling aims to provide education detection of borax by using inexpensive materials, easy, and simple equipment. The results showed the participants were very enthusiastic about the subject that presented and received information about detection of borax in food in an easy, inexpensive and simple way.]]>

The golden period is a very vital period or something very important in a cycle. The golden period in children is an important period during which the child's brain or intelligence is very rapidly developing. Based on the servant's observations, some mothers in the Bintaran Kulon area still lack knowledge regarding the growth and development of babies and toddlers. Therefore, pengabdi tries to create an interactive class as a place for parents to pay attention to the development and growth of their children.. The model approach used to solve this problem is by approaching the community, especially mothers who have babies and toddlers. The method used is lectures, questions and answers and direct simulation in the implementation of growing back infants and toddlers.]]>

<![CDATA[Childhood is a very important period for growth and development. Children under the age of five need to do early detection of growth and development deviations, so that they can be detected early and can be handled with better results. Early childhood education (PAUD) in Karangploso Hamlet has not regularly carried out growth and development screenings. This community service activity aims to screen the growth and development of toddlers in PAUD Dusun Karangploso. The method used by examining toddlers using the DDST II instrument. The results of the screening for the growth and development of toddlers in PAUD Karannploso village, almost 100% of the toddlers who attended had normal growth and development. The conclusion in this activity is by implementing growth and development screening with DDST II, no one has detected a deviation in growth and development and parents know the stages of child development according to their age.]]>

<![CDATA[Hands are the part of our body that most often come into contact with objects around us, and we don't know for sure whether the things we touch are guaranteed clean. Because of this, we do not know whether our hands have germs attached due to the small size of the germs. The limbs that are most often in direct contact with our hands are the mouth and nose. The schoolchildren period includes the time when they like to hold various objects for toys and then put their hands in. The aim of the dedication is to improve the hand washing skills of children in RA Tahfidzul Quran Jamilurrahman. The method used in this community service is counseling with the lecture method and hand washing demonstrations. The results of this service activity were said to be successful by showing the skills of children in RA Tahfidzul Quran being able to wash their hands properly.]]>

<![CDATA[Every parent wants children who are healthy, smart, quality and successful in the future, as well as every nation wants to have a next generation that is able to compete and excel amid the highly competitive global competition. The first five years of a child's life (infancy) is the most rapid growth and development of the human brain and a very sensitive period for the child's brain to receive various inputs from the surrounding environment. Early detection of growth and developmental deviations is an effort to prevent, stimulate and heal and recover. The purpose of this activity is to increase the participation of parents in the detection of growth and development of infants. The method used by conducting counseling, discussion and examination of child development. Counseling is done using the LCD and growth and development checks using a card to the health card (KMS) according to the sex of toddlers. The results of community service activities are there is an increase in understanding and awareness of parents in the early detection of growth and development in children and the results of 100% growth and development of toddlers in the normal category.]]>

<![CDATA[Hipertensi merupakan salah satu penyakit tidak menular yang membutuhkan penanganan yang tepat. Berbagai komplikasi hipertensi dapat terjadi seperti stroke, edema paru, serangan jantung, maupun gagal ginjal sehingga pencegahan dan penatalaksanaan hipertensi menjadi sangat penting. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman tentang penyakit hipertensi sehingga lansia dapat melakukan tindakan pencegahan sejak dini. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan metode observasional analitik dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 25 orang pasien hipertensi di desa Ubung Lombok Tengah. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan pada bulan Juli tahun 2020. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan berdasarkan total sampling. Pengambilan data primer diawali dengan membagikan kuesioner pengetahuan lansia tentang hipertensi. Selanjutnya kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan penyampaian materi melalui leaflet dan banner. Hasil kegiatan didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang hipertensi, sebelum dilakuan edukasi hipertensi dengan pengetahuan kurang 40%, cukup 60%, dan setelah dilakukan edukasi hipertensi dengan pengetahuan cukup 16%, baik 84%. Diharapkan kepada tenaga kesehatan untuk terus melakukan edukasi sehingga dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat terkait penyakit hipertensi dan pencegahannya.]]>

<![CDATA[Resistensi mikroorganisme penyebab infeksi terhadap antibiotik merupakan salah satu risiko paling besar. Kuman resisten antibiotik tersebut terjadi akibat penggunaan antibiotik yang tidak bijak dan penerapan kewaspadaan standar (standard precaution) yang tidak benar di fasilitas pelayanan kesehatan. Beberapa kuman resisten antibiotik sudah banyak ditemukan di seluruh dunia, yaitu Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA), Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococci (VRE), Penicillin- Resistant Pneumococci, Klebsiella pneumoniae yang menghasilkan Extended-Spectrum Beta-Lactamase (ESBL), Carbapenem-Resistant Acinetobacter baumannii dan Multiresistant Mycobacterium tuberculosis. SMK adalah sekolah menengah yang mendidik siswanya memiliki kompetensi dan pengetahuan khusus dibidangnya. Siswa yang bersekolah di SMK kesehatan mendapatkan materi tentang kesehatan lebih banyak dibandingkan siswa SMK non kesehatan. Pendekatan kegiatan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini melalui metode ceramah dan diskusi. Teknis pelaksanaannya dilakukan dalam satu waktu yaitu pada tanggal 08 Oktober 2020. Hasil dari kegiatan yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas X SMK Kesehatan Bantul yang menjadi objek kegiatan, selama ini belum sepenuhnya memahami antibiotik dan penggunaannya. Selain itu peserta kegiatan sangat terbantu dengan pemberian penyuluhan untuk mengingatkan hal penting yang dilakukan sebagai upaya penggunaan antibiotik yang rasional.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract Starting at the right time, solid complementary feeding will be very beneficial for meeting the nutritional needs and growth of the baby. Inappropriate complementary feeding of breastfeeding is one of the causes of malnutrition in toddlers. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the knowledge and abilities of mothers in giving complementary breastfeeding. The target of this activity is mothers in the Posyandu Harapan Dusun Trukan Pleret who have toddlers. The activity method is to conduct lectures, simulation and supervision. The lecture was held for 1 hour and 30 minutes using power point media, after which a practice or simulation of making complementary feeding schedules was carried out. After that, supervision is carried out to help mothers when practicing it at home. When giving the material, the participants focused on paying attention and some of them asked questions and conveyed their experiences in giving complementary foods to their babies. There was an increase in the score of knowledge and skills related to complementary feeding. The conclusion is that this community service activity is effective in increasing the understanding and ability of mothers to provide complementary foods.]]>
