Abstract

This article describes and analyzes the solidarity and competition among Gojek drivers in Yogyakarta. For data collection, it was carried out through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result shows that PT. Gojek Indonesia created groups based on their criteria. The groups formed by PT. Gojek were included in the office Whatsapp group. Arena, capital, and habitus are important elements to reveal that there is the classification of Gojek drivers' accounts based on priority, regular, and 'gagu'. In the Bourdieu paradigm, the cultural capital owned by Gojek drivers plays an important role in benefiting them in the arena, such as time discipline to find customers, driver performance, drivers who always accept incoming orders and never reject orders, customer rating, or good customer ratings, customer-friendly drivers, and smartphone proficiency that will give advantage in the competition. Thus, the result of mapping the arena of competition among Gojek drivers in Yogyakarta shows that drivers indirectly have to have some strategies in the 'game' of competition among Gojek drivers across several social arenas, namely economy, culture, and social.

Abstract

Turkey and the United States of America have long built cooperation in the security and defense sector since the Cold War. Turkey was a strategic region for the USA as a path to stick to the hegemony in the Middle East. The Weakening cooperation between Turkey and the USA happened since the USA was no longer on the same path as Turkey. The coup d’état that happened in Turkey was also one of the reasons for weakening cooperation between Turkey and the USA. Turkey then built cooperation with NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) and actively involved in the war against ISIS. The withdrawal of the USA’s Missiles from Turkey’s borders caused Turkey then bought missiles from Russia, which has been so only criticized by NATO and the USA. In the research, the writer analyzed the factor causing the weakening cooperation between Turkey and the USA in the security and defense field. The researcher used Neorealism theory, in which neorealism believed that anarchy in the international system would make a country build the relations of cooperation with another country, then the balance of power concept was also used to see the interest of the USA in building cooperation with Turkey

Abstract

Work from Home (WFH) is currently a popular term on social media, especially after the government officially urges businesses to assign employees to work from home. The appeal is related to efforts to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak. Against this background, the researcher conducted a study to see how reciprocal communication between superiors and subordinates occurs and how obstacles occur when working from home at PT Indonesia Comnets Plus (ICON+). This study uses the Post-Positive Paradigm and uses the Single Case method with a qualitative descriptive approach and research data obtained from interviews and observations and documentation. The research location was carried out at ICON+ in the Jakarta area. Managers and VPs are classified as superiors, while officers and staff are classified as subordinates. The results showed that the reciprocal communication between superiors and subordinates was dominated by using the written method. Communication barriers that occur between superiors and subordinates at ICON+ include semantic disruption, structural disruption, and behavioral disruption. The research findings say that the biggest obstacle experienced by superiors and subordinates at ICON+ is the frame of mind barrier, namely the difference in perception when the communication process occurs between superiors and subordinates. The overall communication barrier is more often experienced by subordinates than superiors.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether service quality and customer satisfaction have a positive and significant impact on repurchase decisions at Alfamart Sisingamangaraja 2 Medan. This study was conducted by using quantitative methods with several tests, they are: the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression, hypothesis testing and R2 test.  Based on the results of the regression obtained the equation: Y = 0.948 + 0.408 X1 + 0.349 X2. Based on these data, it can be determined that the tcount is 3.62 and it is known that the service quality variable (X1) has a ttable of 1.29 when compared to tcount, the result was 3.26>1.29, so it can be concluded that the service quality variable (X1) positive and significant effect on the repurchase decision variable (Y). The consumer satisfaction variable (X2) has a tcount of 8.78 when compared to ttable, the result was 8.78> 3.62, so it can be concluded that the consumer satisfaction variable (X2) has a positive and significant effect on the repurchase decision variable (Y). Simultaneously, the service quality and customer satisfaction variables have a positive and significant influence on the repurchase decision variable. This means that the hypothesis in this study is accepted, as evidenced by the value of Fcount > Ftable (59.890> 3.09). Service quality and customer satisfaction have an influence on the repurchase decision variable by 55.1%, while the remaining 44.9% was influenced by other variables not examined in this study.
