Abstract

This research focused on the difficulty of students doing interaction activities in learning mathematics in school. Sometimes even smart students will get used to silence in class. Students are not accustomed to actively interacting, even though student activities are very important in the process of learning mathematics. Activities that occur in learning, include several aspects such as listening to the teacher's explanation, asking if there is something that has not been understood, answering the question of the teacher or other friends, having active discussions if allowed group work, solving practice questions if they are given by the teacher and so on. The activities included in it are interactive activities. Interaction in this research is an activity that occurs about the needs of the learning process, namely the relationship between teacher and student, student and teacher, student and student, and student and learning resources. The method used in this research is how the interaction that occurs is related to the interaction model. The expected results of this study are students can actively interact in every learning process in school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe an increase in the ability to understand mathematical concepts, teaching skills of teachers in managing mathematics learning and student learning activities using contextual learning models through marble games. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The subjects of the research were 15-grade students of SDI Tetandara. The data collection techniques used were observation, interview, test, and documentation. The instrument in this study used test questions, observation sheets, and interview sheets. Data analysis in this research is quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) the increase in teacher activity from pre-cycle to cycle I am 15.75%, cycle I to cycle II is 17.45%. (2) Student activity has increased from the pre-cycle to cycle I by 27%, and cycle I to cycle II by 26%. (3) Increased understanding of the multiplication concept of students in the pre-cycle to cycle I amounted to 26.66% for indicator 1, 20% for indicator 2, 6.67% for indicator 3, and 33.34% for indicator 4. As for the first cycle to cycle II has increased by 26.67% for indicator 1, 26.66% for indicator 2, 33.33% for indicator 3, and 26.66% for indicator 4.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of students' critical thinking in solving realistic mathematical problems of geometry material in terms of learning styles. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Critical thinking in this study refers to critical thinking with FRISCO criteria. In this study, subjects were taken from students of class VII SMP N 2 Ende Selatan. Each student's research subjects have visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. Data collection is done by providing a Problem Solving Test (TPM) and an interview. The results obtained, subjects who have a visual learning style, critical thinking processes in solving realistic mathematical problems, able to understand problems, the subject has not been able to determine ways to solve problems, the subject has not been able to carry out the settlement and the subject does not re-examine. Subjects who have auditory learning styles, critical thinking profiles in solving realistic mathematical problems are able to understand problems, but the subject does not re-examine. Subjects who have kinesthetic learning styles of critical thinking processes in solving realistic mathematical problems are able to understand problems, are able to plan problems, subjects can carry out well and check the results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning media on student learning outcomes in mathematics education study programs. The method chosen in this study was a survey with a quantitative approach, and 40 students were randomly selected for the spatial geometry subject in the mathematics education program of the University of Flores. The Likert scale is used in the data collection technique instrument. Quantitative analysis was used with descriptive statistics, and involved Bivariate Correlation (Pearson), Classical Assumption Test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the learning media (X1) was seen as having a positive effect on learning outcomes (Y), this can be seen through the correlation analysis for R recruitment for X1 to Y of 0.529 and the significance value between X1 to Y two asterisks (**) so that there are positive influence with a significance level of 1%. In other words, the more or better the learning media, the student learning outcomes will increase and the better.

Abstract

This study purpose to determine the effect of the application of cooperative learning type STAD on student mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research used an experiment with Perdiktor variable: X is the result of the students' pre-test. Response Variable: Y is the change that occurs between the pretest and posttest values. The sample consisted of 20 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Ende Selatan. Based on the analysis of covariance, it shows that F (count =) 32.95 is greater than F (table =) 4.38 with dk numerator = 1 and dk denominator = 19 which gives a significant value, indicating that the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Using question card media can improving student learning outcome results for Two-Variable Linear Equation System Material in Class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Ende Selatan for academic Year 2019/2020.

Abstract

This study aims to produce cooperative learning tools type Numbered Head Together (NHT) for Relationship and Function Material in class VIII students of SMPN 3 Mauponggo Satap 2019/2020 and to find out learning outcomes through the application of cooperative learning type of NHT, Relation and Function for students of SMPN 3 Satap Mauponggo. This research used in this research is experimental research. This study is the change that occurs between the pre-test and post-test values. Concomitant variable (Accompaniment): Student's pre-test score that must be reduced by covariance analysis. A sample is a portion (subsets) of a population. The sample in this study was 24 students of class VIII SMPN 3 Mauponggo Satap. The data analysis technique was obtained from the implementation stage using covariance analysis. Based on the results of the covariance analysis, it shows that F count = 67.35 is greater than F table = 4.28 with dk counting = 1 and dk denominator = 23 giving a significant value, indicating that cooperative learning type Numbered Head Together (NHT) is considered to improve learning outcomes for related material and functions class VIII students of SMPN 3 Satap Mauponggo 2019/2020.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the activities and learning outcomes of students on integer operating materials using beaded props. The type of research used is PTK research. The population used is all students of Grade Vll Grade SMP Sokoria, and the sample in this study was 20 Students of Class Vll SMP Negri Sokoria. The data analysis technique used is a descriptive statistic analysis. Based on activities in cycle I and cycle II, the percentage of students' learning outcomes increased, namely cycle I students who completed only 13 people or with a percentage of 65% while those who had not completed 7 people or with a percentage of 35%. While in cycle II students completed 20 people or with a percentage of 100%. From cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that the percentage of students' learning outcomes increase from 13 complete people to 20, complete people. All students sampled in this study achieved KKM scores.

Abstract

This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Ende in the 2018/2019 school year. The purpose of this study was to describe: the ability to think in solving geometry problems in class VIII students using Bloom's taxonomy in the cognitive domain, the ability to think in solving geometric problems in class VIII students using Bloom's taxonomy in the affective domain, the ability to think in solving geometric problems in class VIII students using Bloom's taxonomy. psychomotor realm. This type of research is a descriptive study using qualitative methods. Data collection techniques using written tests, interviews, observation, and documentation. The subjects in this study were six students who were selected based on 3 groups of ability, namely high, medium, and low. The selection of research subjects was based on written test results. The results showed that based on Bloom's taxonomy, the thinking abilities of class VIII A students of SMP Negeri 2 Ende in solving geometry problems were as follows: in the higher thinking group the ability to think was at the level of analysis. Students in the medium ability group are at the application level and students in the low ability group are at the knowledge level.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study was to determine student learning outcomes using the type of jigsaw cooperative learning model for relation and function material in class VIII students of SMPK Swadaya Maukaro in the 2019/2020 academic year. The type of research used is experimental research with a quantitative approach that begins with the preparation of a Learning Implementation Plan (RPP), Student Worksheets (LKS), and Learning Outcomes Test (THB). In this study, the population was all class VIII A students of SMPK Swadaya Maukaro Ende Tahin Ajaran 2019/2020. The sample taken was 20 students of class VIII with the technique used was simple random sampling (simple random technique). Data collected through tests of student learning outcomes. The data analysis technique used is covariance analysis (ANAKOVA) to determine the validity of the author's learning tools using the product-moment correlation formula. The results of the preparation of the type of jigsaw cooperative learning device produce good/valid learning tools. In this case, supported by analysis of covariance (ANAKOVA) with the results obtained by statistical F-count - 15.26179 and F - table- 4.15, it gives a significant value so it can be said that the type of jigsaw cooperative learning can improve student learning outcomes for relation and function material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) Guide Note Taking (GNT) learning tools on a two-variable linear equation system in class VIII students of SMPK Swadaya Maukaro in the 2018/2019. (2) Learning outcomes through learning Guide Note strategies Taking (GNT) material on the two-variable linear equation system for class VIII SMPK Swadaya Maukaro in the 2018/2019. This type of research used in this research is experimental research with the approach used is a quantitative approach. The subjects in this study were 20 students of class VIII SMPK Swadaya Maukaro. The research result states that the results of the preparation of the Guide Note Taking learning tool for the two-variable linear equation system material produce a good learning tool because it meets the requirements based on validity, reliability, and sensitivity. Results of covariance data analysis obtained f-count = 5.241> f table = 4.45 or it can be seen that with dk numerator 1 and dk denominator 19, giving a significant value, then this shows that learning guide note taking is considered to be able to improve learning outcomes for the material of two-variable linear equation systems in class VIII students of SMPK Swadaya Maukaro.
