Abstract

The development of technology is very fast, one of them is cloud computing. Cloud computing has been used from various circles and began to be developed. There are various problems that arise in cloud computing, such as problems from data, whether the data will be safe. To ensure that the data is safe, several methods or tools can be used. In this scientific work we use the Intrusion Detection System as an aid tool needed to access the network, including whether packages can protect data in cloud computing. Although the intrusion detection system there are still some shortcomings such as only being able to read some data and the performance will decrease the data very much. To overcome this it is necessary to use several additional tools such as the Intrusion Prevention System which is a refinement of the Intrusion Detection System and using the AES algorithm

Abstract

[Design of air conditioning system based on the energy and costs aspect of  hotel buildings in Semarang] Indonesia’s economic growth has been above 5% for the past few years. Tourism industry is one of the sectors that shows a significant progress. The improvement in tourism industry has to be supported with good hospitality industry as well. Air conditioning system is one of the main utilities in a hotel building. The design of the air conditioning system for a hotel building must pay close attention to the thermal comfort factor for the guests, safety factor, and energy and cost efficiency aspect of it. Air conditioning system design consists of cooling load calculation for the hotel, air conditioning system selection, energy and cost calculation using the life cycle cost analysis. The maximum cooling load in this hotel is 3.279 kW. From that cooling load, three alternative systems are being considered, which are the central air conditioning system using chiller machine that has constant flowrate, the central air conditioning system using chiller machine that has variable flowrate, and the split air conditioning system using VRF machine. Energy analysis and life cycle cost analysis for 20 years was performed to be able to decide the best system. From that energy and cost analysis it can be concluded that the second alternative, which is three units of chiller with variable discharge with a capacity of 1,100 kW for each chiller, is the best system for the hotel. This system has an energy consumption intensity value of 118 kWh/m2 per year and total cost of Rp. 87,707,416,390  for a period of 20 years.

Abstract

The subject of Ergonomics serves as an important part on the education for Product Design Engineering, in which it sets the fundamental understanding for future engineers over the human aspect in engineered a new product. The teaching method of Ergonomics using theoretical approach, followed by laboratory practice to simulate the approach on improving a product or system from the human point of view as user. However, in the context of Product Design Engineering that seeks an output in form of a product solution the approach used in Ergonomics teaching may not be reaching the level of prototyping that can represent a tangible solution. This paper is discussing an alternate approach of applying Project-based model for teaching Ergonomics with aim to produce an output of conceptual product to materialize the Ergonomics improvement parameters resulted from the theoretical and laboratory practice approach initially conducted from the previous approach. The adoption of Design Thinking method into the teaching plan was being introduced as a mean of allowing a direct and practical way of leading the process up to prototyping phase and thus setting up a platform for further improvement. The case study was deducted from the teaching subject of Human-Integrated Systems class by utilizing the ongoing teaching plan as the media for introducing the new approach.

Abstract

Semantic image segmentation is one of the fundamental applications of computer vision which can also be called pixel-level classification. Semantic image segmentation is the process of understanding the role of each pixel in an image. Over time, the model for completing Semantic Image Segmentation has developed very rapidly. Due to this rapid growth, many models related to Semantic Image Segmentation have been produced and have also been used or applied in many domains such as medical areas and intelligent transportation. Therefore, our motivation in making this paper is to contribute to the world of research by conducting a review of Semantic Image Segmentation which aims to provide a big picture related to the latest developments related to Semantic Image Segmentation. In addition, we also provide the results of performance measurements on each of the Semantic Image Segmentation methods that we discussed using the Intersectionover-Union (IoU) method. After that, we provide a comparison for each semantic image segmentation model that we discuss using the results of the IoU and then provide conclusions related to a model that has good performance. We hope this review paper can facilitate researchers in understanding the development of Semantic Image Segmentation in a shorter time, simplify understanding of the latest advancements in Semantic Image Segmentation, and can also be used as a reference for developing new Semantic Image Segmentation models in the future

Abstract

Abstract

This paper discusses about how to build a data warehouse (DW) in business intelligence (BI) for a typical marketing division in a university. This study uses a descriptive method that attempts to describe the object or subject under study as it is, with the aim of systematically describing the facts and characteristics of the object under study precisely. In the elaboration of the methodology, there are four phases that include the identification and source data collection phase, the analysis phase, the design phase, and then the results phase of each detail in accordance with the nine steps of Kimball’s data warehouse and the Pentaho Data Integration (PDI). The result is a tableau as a tool of BI that does not have complete ETL tools. So, the process approach in combining PDI and DW as a data source certainly makes a tableau as a BI tool more useful in presenting data thus minimizing the time needed to obtain strategic data from 2-3 weeks to 77 minutes.

Abstract

Jona Shop is located in Indonesia, Jakarta is currently having a problem. The problem is the shop’s owner thinks that the inventory costs are too big especially for a powdered drink which brand is “Nutrisari”. The author finishes an EOQ (Economic Order Quantity) model for minimize the inventory cost. EOQ model is an old model but a valid model which still used now. Even EOQ model is an old model, many researchers used EOQ model to minimize inventory cost until 50% or more than 50%. But the EOQ model has some assumptions and Jona Shop fulfilled all the assumptions in the EOQ model. The assumptions of EOQ model are demand is known and constant, the lead time is constant and known, only one product can be estimated, every order is accepted in one-time delivery and can be used right away, there is no backorder because run out stock, no discount, and the holding cost per year and the ordering cost per year are constant. The result of the EOQ model can save up to almost 90%.
