Abstract

Air humidity is an important factor in human life, namely to maintain body health stability which will also affect work comfort. A sensor is needed to know the humidity in the room. A tool can be said to be a sensor if it has linearity and sensitivity, in this case optical fiber is suitable for sensors due to its natural ability to be resistant to electromagnetic interference, resistant to high temperatures, has high sensitivity and flexibility, and can be used for measurement and remote sensing. This study uses 2 singlemode SC-SC core patch cables connected to a fiber coupler that has been given a hole in the middle with a diameter of 1mm and the ferulle spacing is 0.3mm, 0.6mm, 0.8mm, 1mm. Optical light source is used to provide input with a value of -7dBm and the output value will be read by the Optical power meter which will later be processed into power loss then compared with the value from the Hygrometer and will obtain a linear equation. The measurement results, it is found that the farther the distance between the ferules, the longer the range obtained. The longest range is obtained at a distance measurement of 1mm with a power loss difference of 0.2dB and the shortest range is obtained at a measurement of 0.3mm with a power loss difference of 0.08dB.

Abstract

The existence of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) technology is used to create a system for monitoring gas levels at landfills, in particular, the three gases to be monitored, namely methane gas (CH4), ammonia gas (NH3) and carbon dioxide gas (CO2) which can cause disease. Respiratory tract infection. This monitoring system utilizes Wireless Sensor Network technology so that it can monitor a more comprehensive area using a large number of nodes. The results of communication using the nRF24L01 module from the sensor node to the server with a peer to peer communication model in Line of Sight conditions can communicate at a maximum distance of 120 meters with an average delay of 6.98s and packet loss when sending data as much as 14% which is included in the bad category according to ITU -T G.114. Then to determine the quality of the network when sending data from the server to firebase with Wireshark software, a delay of 261ms was obtained, then for packet loss, the value of 8.3% was found to be in a suitable category according to ITU-T G.114.

Abstract

Cicadas are a unique type of insect, have a distinctive sound and are active at night, Cicadas are widely cultivated by the community because they can support the community's economy both for pet feed, animal feed mixtures, food additives to cosmetic mixtures. Aspects that need to be considered in the cultivation of Cicadas, namely environmental factors that affect the life and growth of Cicadas daily are from sources of nutrition, temperature and humidity. DHT22 and RTC sensors to measure temperature and humidity in the cricket cage and RTC to detect time. The sensor data input will be processed by ESP32 which is a System on Chip with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, then detected by Fuzzy Logic to determine the activation output and when the Cicadas are harvested will be sent via the telegram application. The results of the system design for control and monitoring have been successfully implemented in the cricket cage based on temperature, humidity and time. The system can send output notifications and responses in accordance with predetermined conditions with the telegram application and data storage on the website. Testing the accuracy of the sensor gets a fairly accurate presentation of accuracy, that is, on average the percentage accuracy of temperature gets 98% and at humidity it gets a value of 97%, and Testing the results of the percentage of accuracy on the system and fuzzy simulation using telegram and matlab applications gets a percentage value 31.66% accuracy.

Abstract

The boarding house is a temporary residence and is used as a place to store valuables. One of the facilities that need to be improved is the security of the fence and door of the house, because houses are often targets for people who want to commit crimes, so a security system is needed. The majority of security systems on house door locks are currently manual security systems in the form of conventional padlocks. This study aims to develop a system to provide a better level of security accuracy on room doors and boarding house fences, and a payment reminder system so that boarding house payments are more controlled. To open the fence and door of the boarding house occupants, scan the QR code with the android application so that they can access the fence and door of the room. Status has not paid the rent will be given a warning in the form of a pop-up in the android application. The test results obtained are in the form of successful testing of the functionality of the miniature boarding house, testing the SmartKos application, firebase database, and the accuracy of data communication between firebase and NodeMCU in the form of delay with the worst value in the measurement. 3rd with a value of 3.89 s, the best throughput is in the 3rd measurement with a value of 43864 bps, packet loss in this study has an index of 4 because it has a packet loss value of 0%.

Abstract

Problems that are often faced by people with physical disabilities are those who have limited hands, one of which is when they will use the computer. His inability to grip and use the mouse is often a barrier in using the computer. The purpose of the design of the tool is to provide facilities for people with disabilities to be able to use a mouse that will be moved based on head movements without noise interference caused by the MPU-6050 sensor. The results of the tests carried out show that designing a mouse with the MPU-6050 sensor has been successfully carried out, the MPU-6050 sensor by implementing a kalman filter as a noise reducer on the X axis has an accuracy value with an average error percentage of 0.09% and at Y angle is 0.12%. Data transmission from the mouse to the computer is done wirelessly using bluetooth HC-05 can receive data well as far as 12.5 meters with an error percentage of 0%. The button on the mouse that functions to perform the left click function when the button is bitten 1x, right click when the button is bitten 2x and click and hold to do a left click 2x or double click can run according to the command, has a 100% success rate.

Abstract

Mini computers are now advanced enough to be used in various fields. One of the mini computers that used is the Raspberry Pi 3. The Raspberry Pi 3 is a mini computer that has a feature for a wireless LAN. The wireless LAN feature on a mini computer can be used as a Wireless Access Point. The Raspberry Pi 3 can be an alternative to Wireless Access Point. However, mini computers have different capabilities with Wireless Access Points in general because they have different specifications. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of the Raspberry Pi 3 based Wireless Access Point. The Raspberry Pi 3 is connected to a laptop that already connected to the internet via a LAN cable . Raspberry Pi 3 is configured as a Wireless Access Point (WAP) and programmed for data retrieval and monitoring in the form of traffic and user information displayed in a web display. In this study, the Raspberry Pi 3 was tested as a Wireless Access Point. The ability of the Raspberry Pi 3 as a Wireless Access Point is greatly influenced by the traffic carried out by the user. According to the test results, the Raspberry Pi 3 as a Wireless Access Point has a maximum limit of 13 users with high traffic loads, 17 users with medium loads and 27 with low loads. This shows that the Raspberry Pi 3 is worthy of being used as a Wireless Access point on a small scale.

Abstract

The increase in private vehicles number will also increase the number of crimes such as vehicle theft. So the owner must have a garage to increase security. However, generally security systems still use standard security. So, a system was developed to improve security and make it easier to be more effective using the ESP32 microcontroller to process the user's distance and speed values ??to control the rolling door using fuzzy logic, monitor whether or not vehicles are in the garage through a smartphone application, manage the queuing system on the smartphone application and find out the quality of the network used. Data retrieval is done by testing the hardware performance, namely the MG996R Servo Motor, ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04, Magnetic Switch MC-38, Infrared Sensor, Buzzer Module, and 1W HPL LED and the performance of smartphone application software made using Android Studio. From the test results, the speed of the servo motor with forward rotation is obtained from fuzzy logic processing to get the maximum and minimum values. A monitoring system to determine the presence or absence of a car in the garage by utilizing the color change of the view on the smartphone application. In automatic mode the smartphone application uses a queue system, where only one user can use the application, so other users cannot access the smartphone application and receive notifications. Based on the ITU-T standard, network quality testing (QOS) using wireshark software with parameters delay, packet loss and throughput gets a very good category value.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country known for its aquaculture. Regular feeding is influential in a good farming management system to obtain quality fish. However, the feeding system is still oriented to human resources that are still manual, resulting in an erratic feeding schedule and size, making it different for each feeding. Feeding planning must be precise so that fish growth is fast. In this research, an automatic fish feeder called "smart fish feeder" was made. This tool uses a microcontroller-based control system that is connected to the internet and an android application. In the control system circuit using the Arduino Uno connected to the ESP32 to be connected to the internet, there are also several actuator and sensor components. The control system gets input to adjust the smart fish feeder device through a smartphone with the smart fish feeder application installed. Based on the results of the tests carried out, for the ultrasonic sensor, the average error value is 6, the error percentage is 0.896%, and the accuracy is 99.104% with a measurement distance of 5-25cm. The loadcell sensor obtained an average error value of 2.8, a percentage error of 0.067%, and an accuracy of 99.933%.

Abstract

Due to the length of the plant area on the road, usually many plants witheror are damaged due to uncontrolled watering. Watering staff on the street usually water the plants periodically. Watering the road plants sometimes causes small congestion and there are parts of the plants that are not watered because it is done manually.The purpose of this research is to create a design of road plant wateringcontrol system humidity-based using a soil moisture sensor, nodeMCU, relaymodule, voltage regulator, and dynamo sprayer. The results of the performance of this device are influenced by the time of the watering schedule and the soil moisture content of the plants.  The results of the design and testing of the tool obtained an automatic plant watering system design and can monitor plant soil moisture with the Thingspeak platform via a web browser. Watering will be done automatically when the time of the watering schedule is entered and the soil moisture is dry. The resultsof the soil sensor readings on soil moisture form an ADC value range of 500 - 900 when the sensor is wet, while 901 - 1023 when the sensor is dry. The delay value for sending data from the soil moisture monitoring system is 0.473 ms at node 1, 0.433 ms at node 2, and 0.245 at node 3. Where the delay value for each node is categorized as good (0 - 150 ms) according to ITUT standards.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to design a capacitive sensor system to investigate the effect of Dampit coffee roasting on the relative permeability of coffee. Where this relative permeability value will be used as a reference to determine the level of Dampit coffee roasting. The method used is to design an oscillator circuit, where a capacitive sensor is used as a component of the oscillator. The capacitive sensor is composed of 2 square copper plates with a side length of 10 cm. The distance between the copper plates varies from 2 cm, 3 cm, 4 cm, and 5 cm. The type of oscillator used in this study is an RC oscillator with 4049 CMOS IC. The results of this study indicate that dark roasted coffee has the highest frequency, the largest capacitor value, and the smallest permeability value. Increasing the distance between the copper plates increases the output frequency of the capacitive sensor. The average relative permeativity of dark coffee is 10.92; medium coffee of 12.45; and light coffee of 14.4.
