Abstract

In this era of globalization, technological developments are very rapid penetrated in all fields in particular. in the food and beverage sector..During a pandemic like this, as entrepreneurs, food and drink must adapt. Adaptation in question is hygiene in the process of making drinks and food. One example. it is an automatic drink making machine. that can help in the process. make drinks more practical and hygienic to keep more sterile. when making drinks in terms of blending drink ingredients. the process of stirring and pouring hot water. In an automatic drink making machine, in a supermarket there are still many weaknesses. ie the user is still making physical contact, such as approaching and selecting the menu and waiting for the process to complete. Based on the problems that exist among the general public, an idea was formed to design and manufacture an Internet of Things (IOT) based automatic drinking machine. which can help users in terms of making a drink. Users only need to select the drink menu that they want to make on the Android smartphone application that is connected to the access point, then the machine will carry out the process of making drinks. according to the menu selected in the application. The user only takes drinks to the places that are available. Based on the results of testing and analysis carried out on a machine this helps users to place orders and can enjoy drinks that are processed automatically.

Abstract

Security at the door is very important for everyone. because the door acts as access to enter or exit a private room. Therefore, the key as a door security plays an important role in implementing the security system. With the frequent occurrence of key loss and also the rise of increasingly sophisticated crime rates in breaking into or destroying conventional keys, it becomes a thought for the author to develop a security system that is more private in nature. That is by using an application that is expected to be a security in the form of a password which will certainly be more profitable. The design of this tool is made with Arduino as a processing center and a servo motor to function to move the doorlock. The next stage Arduino will give a command to the servo to open the door. Only certain people who have access passwords can open doors in rooms that use voice recognition. Meanwhile, those who do not have an access password will not be able to unlock the door in the server room. So that the design of a smart door lock tool that uses Arduino-based voice recognition will provide a more computerized level of security and access

Abstract

Abstract - Overhead crane is a lifting tool used by almost all industries, ports, warehouses, workshops, and others. In general, the overhead crane control system is less effective and efficient because the operator still follows the direction of the crane's speed. In this case, problems often occur because the pendant switch which functions as a controller still uses a cable as a connector to the overhead crane panel. Various problems that often occur include cables breaking frequently due to being hit by a load lifted by the hoist, operators having difficulty setting a safe distance because they are limited by the length of the pendant switch cable. Based on the background of the problem, a control system is made which is expected to be able to control the overhead crane effectively and efficiently without using a cable as a connector but using an android smartphone. Control with an android smartphone using an android application with a wifi connection and an arduino uno R3 microcontroller. Based on the test results on this control system, device control can be controlled at a maximum distance of ± 100 meters as long as the device is still within wifi range. The control system can function optimally and the application can be installed on Android OS 4.0 (Jelly Bean) smartphones. Therefore, the use of a cable can be replaced with a wifi connection system to reduce friction with the cable and so that the operator can maintain a safe distance from the load to be moved because it is no longer limited by the length of the cable.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The process of winding fiber optic cable rolls takes a long time because it is done manually or conventionally. One of the tools in winding is a FO cable roller. This tool is designed to be able to roll fiber optic cables, but the limitations of this tool are still done manually, FO cables are rolled by hand like pedaling a bicycle on the pedals, the speed is set based on the speed of the rotation of the hand and it all depends on the human factor. Therefore, there is a need for an Automatic Fiber Optic Cable Winder Using NodeMCU ESP8266 and using Iot (Web of Things) to be more efficient and better in cable winding expositions.

Abstract

The development of renewable energy is growing rapidly along with technological developments. One application of renewable energy is hydroelectric power (Water Turbine Generator). This study aims to design and manufacture a MHP using a permanent magnet generator with a screw type turbine and determine the output power generated from a MHP generator using a screw type turbine. In this research, an efficient and efficient MHP with screw type turbine will be developed. This research will be implemented in Doplang Tretek, Prambon Subdistrict, Sidoarjo Regency. MHP is a power plant whose driving force comes from water flowing from the highlands to the lowlands. By utilizing the water discharge PLTMH can function to produce electricity which is driven through a turbine and rotates a generator. The main components of MHP are turbine, generator, and water discharge. If one of these components is not present, the MHP cannot function. By utilizing MHP we can enjoy electricity for free, the power generated by MHP is still small <0.5-100kW. From the design of the PLTMH generator using a screw type turbine the output voltage is 9 volts with a water flow of 557 m3/s. The greater the flow of water flowing in the cross section of the turbine, the faster the resulting rpm.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the usage of electrical energy is still poorly handled. Few people realize how important it is to conserve electricity. Electricity waste, such as the usage of air conditoner (AC) and lighting, is more common in public buildings. Few People realize how important it is to conserve electricity. Electricity waste, such as the usage of air conditioners (AC) and lighting, is more common in public buildings. The goal of this study is to find a way to reduce electricity waste. The HCSR04 Ultrasonic sensor is used to detect things in this system, and the signal from the sensor is received by Arduino Uno and processed into data. Following the processing of the data, the Arduino Uno instructs the AC and lights to turn on, as well as the LCD to display the identified items. This system is put on a table near the room’s door for use. The system as a whole can function well after testing.

Abstract

Currently, there are still many street lighting systems with electrical resources that use a full power system or a time system to regulate the power issued by the lamp so that in terms of the costs incurred for the lamp, it is also quite large. And in terms of maintenance, for now the problematic street lighting is still using conventional methods, namely waiting for damage reports from the field directly so that the handling of damaged lamps is very slow. Based on these problems, a street lighting lamp with automatic control will be designed that can adjust the light intensity and report the status of the lamp online through the Internet of Things (IoT) website which can be accessed using a smartphone or PC connected to the internet so that energy use and handling actions will be carried out. damage is more efficient. In this study, an automatic PJU was designed with a Passive Infrared Receiver (PIR) sensor to detect the presence or absence of objects around the lamp and an ESP module to connect the hardware to the internet network via a Wi-Fi connection . For the automatic system of turning on and off the lights based on bright and dark conditions of sunlight using a Photocell containing a Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) . With the use of this system, it can be proven that the use of Passive Infrared Receiver (PIR) sensors and Thingspeak website-based monitoring can streamline spending on electricity financing and accelerate the handling of lamp damage.

Abstract

One of the natural resources in Indonesia, especially Tarakan City, is the coconut plant. Coconut shells in Tarakan City are usually used for charcoal to be burned directly as an alternative fuel. This study aims to process charcoal from coconut shells into a more efficient fuel, that’s is biomass briquettes. Biomass briquettes from coconut shells are processed from charcoal making, milling, dough making, molding and drying. Coconut shell charcoal is mashed manually and combined with adhesive from tapioca flour with a ratio of coconut shell charcoal powder to tapioca flour powder is 5:1. Briquettes are printed in the form of tubes with a diameter of 4 cm and a length of 3 cm. The briquettes that have been molded are then dried in an oven at 110oC for 24 hours to remove the moisture content in the briquettes. In the study of application, it takes 10 minutes to cook 2 liters of water to a boil, which is equivalent to using a PGN gas stove with a medium flame setting, and in the process of cooking 2 liters of water it uses 602.8 grams of fuel with 390.2 grams of remaining fuel, and the efficiency is 37.14 %
