Habitus Aquatica : Journal of Aquatic Resources and Fisheries Management (Habitus Aqua J; e-ISSN 2721-1525) is published by Department of Aquatic Resource Management, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, IPB University. Habitus Aquatica is published periodically twice a year, containing the peer reviewed publication of basic and applied research articles in a broad range of subject areas relevant to aquatic and fisheries science. The journal publishes articles, short communications, and reviews that contribute to a scientific understanding in the areas of Aquatic Science including and related to structure and dynamics of aquatic ecosystems, impacts and adaptations to pollution and global changes, socio-economical analysis of environmental benefits, impacts and bioconservation, ecosystems restoration and ecological engineering; and Fisheries Science including fisheries biology, aquaculture, environment, chemistry and biochemistry.

Abstract

Macrozoobenthos is one of the biological indicators that can be used in environmental quality assessment in various aquatic ecosystems. The objective of this study was to determine the water quality in Pengujan Village based on macrozoobenthos biological indicators. This research was conducted in January-February 2021 located in Pengujan Village, Bintan Regency. Sampling was done by purposive sampling method in 5 observation stations. Macrozoobenthos was collected used a quadrant transect (1x1 m2). Parameters observed included water quality (physical and chemical parameters), as well as the type and density of macrozoobenthos. Physical and chemical parameters of the waters were compared to the value of the Quality Standards based on PP RI No. 22 of 2021, while AMBI (A Marine Biotic Index) analysis is used to determine water quality based on the presence of macrozoobenthos. The results of the measurement of water parameters are meet of the quality standard of PP RI No. 22 of 2021, except for the nitrate and phosphate parameters that do not meet the quality standards at each station. The highest density of macrozoobenthos is at station 3 which is in the dock area, while the lowest density is at station 5 which is in the barking snail catching area. Water quality based on macrozoobenthos as a water bioindicator with AMBI index all stations are included in the slightly polluted category.

Abstract

Long whiskers fish (Macrones gulio) has an important economically value and commonly utilized as food resources for people. Study on food habit and reproduction the fish as base for resource management is limited. This study aims to assess food habits and reproduction of the fish including food kind, food abundance, sex ratio, gonad maturity, size of first mature gonads, gonad somatic index, fecundity and oocyte diameter. Study was carried out for three months, from December 2014 to February 2015. Total number of the observed fish was 201 individuals, consisted of 98 male and 103female. This result shows that the fish was omnivore tend to carnivore with crustacean as a main food. The sex ratio of male and female was 1,0:1,1. The mature female gonad was earlier than male one. Fecundity of the fish was 3100–24459 oocytes with the two modes, indicating a partial spawner.

Abstract

Ikan selar tetengkek atau ikan tetengkek (Megalaspis cordyla) adalah salah satu sumberdaya ikan yang dapat ditemui dan didaratkan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai (PPP) Labuan Banten. Peningkatan upaya penangkapan ikan tetengkek dapat mengakibatkan ancaman terhadap keberadaan stok ikan di perairan. Tujuan penelitian ini fokus kepada kajian dinamika populasi ikan tetengkek di perairan Selat Sunda yang didaratkan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Pantai Labuan Banten. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada April hingga Agustus 2015. Ikan tetengkek yang teramati memiliki sebaran frekuensi panjang 96–450 mm. Panjang pertama kali matang gonad (Lm) ikan betina dan jantan masing-masing yakni 373 mm dan 418 mm. Panjang ikan pertama kali ditangkap (Lc) betina dan jantan adalah 242 mm dan 221 mm. Nilai panjang asymptotic (L∞) sebesar 468,3 mm. Laju eksploitasi ikan tetengkek betina dan jantan yaitu sebesar 0,92 dan 0,80. Nilai ini mengidikasikan bahwa sumberdaya ikan tetengkek telah mengalami tangkap lebih.

Abstract

Kabupaten Pulau Morotai merupakan wilayah pesisir dan pulau-pulau kecil termasuk ke dalam bagian Provinsi Maluku Utara, yang berbatasan dengan Samudera Pasifik Barat. Wilayah ini merupakan yang cukup strategis di wilayah Timur Indonesia untuk mendukung posisi strategis, maka pemerintah melalui Direktorat Perencanaan Ruang Laut menyusun laporan Prototipe Model Blue Ekonomy dalam Perencanaan Zona Pembangunan Pelabuhan Perikanan Tahun 2021 di Kabupaten Morotai. Mengingat sifat dari sumberdaya laut yang bersifat open acces memiliki karakter yang rentan terhadap perubahan lingkungan karena pemanfaatannya dapat diakses secara bebas. Menjawab bagaimana konflik kepentingan yang terjadi dalam memperebutkan ruang laut tersebut berlangsung perlu memperhatikan hubungan praktik spasial dimana sosio-spasial mampu menjelaskan situasi sosial tersebut. Tujuan dari penulisan ini untuk menambah sudut pandang lain dalam pembuatan perencanaan zona pembangunan perikanan. Penulisan ini menggunakan metoda kualitatif deskriptif. Data primer dan data sekunder khususnya bersumber dari laporan Prototipe Model Blue Economy Perencanaan Zona Pembangunan Pelabuhan Perikanan Tahun 2021 di Kabupaten Morotai, Provinsi Maluku Utara, yang dikeluarkan oleh Direktorat Perencanaan Ruang Laut Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikanan. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah; (1) Secara konseptual laporan perencanaan zona pembangunan pelabuhan perikanan Tahun 2021 telah memperhatikan prinsip blue economy; (2) Pemanfaatan wilayah pesisir untuk kepentingan nelayan tangkap, budidaya dan pariwisata bahari di Kepulauan Morotai belum maksimal; (3) Konflik, kontestasi, dan negosiasi perebutan ruang spasial belum terlihat mengingat masih rendahnya pemanfaatan potensi wilayah pesisir dan sarana, prasarana infrastruktur, utilitas, serta aksesabilitas manusia yang belum optimal; (4) Perlu mempertimbangkan laporan dari sudut pandang sosio-spasial.

Abstract

Pulau Ujung Perling berada di wilayah Kota Langsa merupakan daerah pesisir yang menjadi tempat bagi biota laut untuk mencari makan (feeding ground) dan melakukan pemijahan (nursery ground). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan juni 2020 di wilayah perairan pulau Ujung Perling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif eksploratif. Titik pengambilan data dibagi menjadi 4 stasiun, setiap stasiun diambil sebanyak 3 kali ulangan pada pagi, siang dan sore hari. Pengambilan data kualitas air yaitu pH, suhu, dan oksigen terlarut menggunakan multicheker parameter, kedalaman dan kecerahan menggunakan secchi disk, dan salinitas menggunakan refractometer. Pengambilan data seluruh parameter dengan frekuensi seminggu sekali selama 1 bulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu suhu air berkisar antara 27–30ºC, salinitas berkisar antara 30,1–32 ppt, kedalaman berkisar antara 0,5–5 m, pH 7–8,1, dan DO 5,1–8,2 mg/L.
