The journal invites original research articles and not simultaneously submitted to another journal or conference. The whole spectrum of research in mathematics education are welcome, which includes, but is not limited to the following topics: Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) is a teaching and learning theory in mathematics education that was first introduced and developed by Freudenthal. Two of his important points of views are mathematics must be connected to reality and mathematics as human activity. RME is implemented following three principles, they are: (1) guided reinvention and progressive mathematizing, (2) didactical phenomenology, and (3) self-developed model. Furthermore, the practice of RME also has its own characteristics, they are: (1) phenomenological exploration or the use of contexts, (2) the use of models or bridging by vertical instruments, (3) the use of students own productions and constructions or students contribution, (4) the interactive character of the teaching process or interactivity, and (5) the intertwining of various learning strands. A paper is eligible to be included in this topic if the paper accommodates these three principles and these five characteristics. Design Research in Mathematics Education Educational design research is perceived as the systematic study of designing, developing and evaluating educational interventions (programs, teaching-learning strategies and materials, products, systems) as solutions to such problems. It also aims at advancing our knowledge about the characteristics of these interventions and the processes to design and develop them. Authors could submit their work, either a validation study or a development study in mathematics education, with a comprehensive description and analysis of every stage. Mathematics Ability Mathematics ability refers to the ability (a human construct) to obtain, to process, and to retain mathematical information (cognitive) and to solve mathematics problem (pragmatic). To maintain the focus of this journal, the scope of mathematics ability includes the following abilities: reasoning, connection, communication, representation, and problem-solving. A paper is eligible for this topic if it comprehensively discusses those abilities.

Abstract

The role of Science and Technology (IPTEK) in the development of the times has a significant contribution. In the midst of the development of educational technology, the education curriculum is also involved in the development of culture that is integrated in school learning with the aim that students can become a generation with character and able to maintain and preserve culture as the foundation of national character. The education curriculum is required to always develop in accordance with the progress of the times as well as cultural involvement in learning in schools in order for students to be able to recognize the culture of the ancestors who have character and able to maintain and preserve culture as the foundation of the nation's educational character. Cultural practice allows for the inculcation of mathematical concepts into reality. More specifically in the learning of mathematics there are factors that affect the learning achievement of learners. These factors are attached to the ability of learners in learning mathematics. The role of ethnomatics is able to evoke the understanding of learners in the process of learning mathematics is certainly related to the cultural treasures that are inherent in the society where learners and schools are located. Ethnomathematics brings out cultural wisdom so that it is able to motivate students in learning mathematics. The description of the study in this article includes the exploration of ethnomathematics from various areas that show the relationship between ethnomathematics and the basic concepts of mathematics learning

Abstract

Abstract The aim of the research is to improve skills in using audiovisual media for teachers at SDN 1 Babaktul. The research subjects were 6 teachers. Data collection techniques with observation and documentation techniques. Data validation with triangulation techniques. Qualitative data analysis method. The results showed that the teacher's skill in using audiovisual media in the initial conditions was 47.62 (LOW) and the first cycle was 69.35 (ENOUGH) and in the last cycle it was 91.07 (VERY GOOD). Classical completeness in the initial condition that no teacher has been declared complete increases to 3 teachers or 50% and in the last cycle to 6 teachers or 100%. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that conducting class visits is proven to improve the skills of teachers at SDN 1 Babaktul in using audiovisual media.

Abstract

The research aims to increase the interest and learning outcomes of class VI students at SDN 1 Kedungasem Sumber District semester 1 of the 2021/2022 academic year through the application of a group-based direct instruction model. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The research subjects were 15 students. Data collection techniques using tests, observation and documentation. Data validation with triangulation techniques. The analysis technique is descriptive quantitative and qualitative. The results showed an interest in learning the initial conditions of 3 students (20%), to 9 students (60%) in the first cycle, and 13 students (87.50%) in the second cycle. The increase in learning outcomes was 56.67, an increase of 66.67 and in the second cycle of 78.33, with the learning mastery of 3 students (20%) in the initial study, 60% or 9 students, and in the last cycle it became 87.50%, or 13 students out of 15 students.

Abstract

The aim of research is improve teachers' skills in making BDR LKPD through the implementation of Workshop activities. The research subjects 7 teachers. Data collection techniques with observation and documentation. Data analysis was performed using a comparative descriptive technique. The results of the assessment of the observation of discussion activities showed that in the initial conditions the score showed 47.14, increasing to 69.86 in the first cycle and 89.86 at the end of the second cycle. The explanation regarding the increase in teacher skills in making LKPD in the initial conditions was 50.38 in the first cycle the average value was 69.98 and at the end of the second cycle it increased to 84.85 In terms of improving individual teacher skills in the first cycle there were 4 teachers 57, 14% in the second cycle all teachers stated that their skills had improved with explanations from 4 teachers or 57.14% (VERY GOOD) and 3 teachers or 42.86% (GOOD).
