Abstract

This research event will by so many cases violance to Indonesian migrant worker in Saudi Arabia.The main factors that give rise to conflicts between the employer and the worker, one of which is language, as we know Indonesian migrant worker who sent abroad were mostly low educated and has minimal skill. This research focuses on the Indonesia Government policy in Indonesia to improve the quality of Indonesian migrant worker. Undeniable in establishing a foreign relations of mutual benefit and one sided, it takes an established human resource mnagement concepts nd theories X and Y as theoritical footing. While in this study researchers using qualitaive research methods. Data collectian techniques used in this research is a primary and secondary data obtained through the institution of direct or related data tahat comes from books, newspaper, magazines, journals and other study ever done before. After analysis, the policy of the government in improving the quality of TKI began experiencing improvement. It can be seen from the lack of news coverage about the Indonesia migrant worker suffered cases of violance in Saudi Arabia as well as a reduction in the number of informal migrant worker to Saudi Arabia. The policy products taken by Indonesia Government can look spurred the growth of human resources by means of the tightening in terms of bureaucracy bu gives maximum protection in accordance with the requirements of the tightening. The government also gives easy access to information to the public through a special and independent institution to be established in every region in Indonesia. It makes it easier for the public to search for information and the public can also monitor closely the performance of the government institution.

Abstract

This research tries to describe about type of human rights infraction which happen to Indonesian Comunist Party’s political captive on Buru Island who written by Pramoedya Ananta Toer on his book called The Mute’s Soliloquy. This captive is captured because their charge of involvement on G30S/PKI tragedy. During their isolation in Buru Island, the political captive treated inhumanly and out of bounds. The Mute’s Soliloquy is chosen because it was a note that written directly by Pramoedya Ananta Toer during his period as political captive on Buru Island. The theory which are used to explain the problems was theory about human rights which is based on the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. This covenant has already been ratified by almost member states on United Nation, including Indonesia that ratified this covenant through Law number 12 of 2005. The theory in used to see and analyze type of human rights infraction which happen to political captive on Buru Island. The method of research is qualitative study with descriptive study. The data was collected by library research method. Some type of human rights infraction which happen to political captive on Buru Island is; Right to liberty and security of person, describe about unprocedural arrest of political captive because the obscurity of infringe criminal act and not through a court. Right to hold opinions without interference, describe about limited information that received nor given by political captive. Right to not being held in slavery and hard labour, describe about hard labour which is conducted by political captive, the hard labour is obligation that must be done by political captive on Buru Island. Right to physical integrity, describe about torture that received by political captive, the torture is a sanction or spontaneous treatment by officers. Right to life, describe about death of 310 political captive during detention period on Buru Island with any reasons. After being release from Buru Island, the political captive still get some restriction as civil society.

Abstract

This research describes the relevance of Trisakti Soekarno concept with Nawacita initiated by the government of Joko Widodo and Jusuf Kalla (Jokowi-JK). “The General Elections” in 2014 for Jokowi and JK as President and Vice President of Indonesia for 2014 to 2019 period. In the current government, Jokowi-JK uses the concept of Trisakti Sukarno as an ideological way Indonesia, which implemented into 9 priorities agenda of their government called Nawacita. Trisakti as the ideological base for Nawacita is interesting to look further considering the conceptual Trisakti built 50 years ago. What was the relevance and significance of Trisakti with Nawacita int this current government, become for this research. In condition to answer that, the conceptual framework of the Trisakti is used to see the relevance with Nawacita Jokowi-JK. The Conceptual framework is also used to find the significance of the concept of Trisakti with current conditions. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this study was conducted using the research library or library study to obtain data through documents. Relevance of Trisakti with Nawacita as a priority program can be seen from the similarity of identifying problems that are rooted in three factors namely political, economic and cultural. However, when analyzed in depth there are fundamental differences between Nawacita with Trisakti such differences rooted in the socio-political and not attached to the anti Nekolim character in Nawacita. The signification of Trisakti concept can be seen as an attempt to reoriented the fields of politics, economy and culture of Indonesia at this stage of the Indonesian revolution is lost. Significance Trisakti ultimately worth taking a look back when it was compared with the era of globalization and the current conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategy of China's political economy in the era of Deng Xiaoping in China to build economic growth. Political economic strategy in question is related to the economic and political policies were implemented by the Chinese state in promoting economic growth of the country. In this case Deng Xiaoping as the pioneer of Chinese economic turnaround, do some political economic strategies showcased in Economic Reform policy at the plenary session of the third meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in December 1978. Theory used to describe the problem of this research is the theory of strategy, Paradigm and Political Economic System, Economic System Liberal Capitalist, Socialism and Communist (Radical Political Economy). In this study the authors used the method of writing the kind of descriptive writing with qualitative research. In writing this study the authors use secondary data obtained from the secondary data obtained from the literature and is written using deductive writing techniques. Results of this study indicate that the political economic strategy adopted Deng Xiaoping in building China 's economic growth is not done in a totalitarian economic and political structures, but in a way that carefully and gradually, it is done to see the effect of economic policy on economic growth. Political economic strategy is first applied to Deng Xiaoping's policy is to issue a removal of people's communes, both removal of state monopolies, opening up a third of the foreign capital, business and management liberalization fourth, fifth in international economic integration. This economic strategy eventually reapgreat result. The impact of the economic success of the strategy is then to change the political culture of the Chinese economy towards socialism communist capitalism.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out why Indonesia has become a transit country or traffic line for illegal immigrants and to find out the extent of Indonesia's efforts in addressing this problem. This research is descriptive explanative in nature. The data were collected through literature review, known as Library Research. The technique used in analyzing the data is qualitative analysis. The result showed that the primary purpose of these illegal immigrants is that they seek a better life and security. They are seeking asylum in another country because there is no more dream or hope for a decent life. They mostly come from countries at war. They want to open a new chapter for their generations. They assume that Indonesia is the most appropriate place for them which is more like a dreamland for them. In addition, they have a strong network such as the trilogy links. This network has been around for ten years and has acted as board of protection and apply fundamental rules of all the countries concerned.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) can be viewed as a rescue valve and recovery process as well as national economic development especially since the monetary crisis in 1998. The success of SMEs in Indonesia in it can not be separated by the important role of women who can improve the country's economy. Most SMEs are concentrated in the production and service sectors, one of which is the culinary sector that requires a lot of female workers, both for married and unmarried women (teenagers) and does not require high education with them. Work only with cooking skills. This research was conducted in Small and Medium Business Culinary in Kecamatan Medan Selayang. This study aims to find out and analyze how the profiles and factors that motivate female workers to work in the small business sector of culinary (studies in SME Kecamatan Medan Selayang). The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with indepth interview. Data collection techniques used were interviews and observation. The researcher chooses to determine the informant by using accidental sampling technique in which the sampling method by choosing who happens to be or found by the researcher. Based on the results of the analysis, the factors of female worker motivation in the Small and Medium Businesses in Medan Selayang District are due to the economic need or the desire to live decent, education level, leisure time, hobbies and skills, environment and financial flexibility. The profile of female workers in Small and Medium Enterprises of Culinary in Medan Sub-district, in terms of the average age of female workers aged 21 years up to 55 years, in terms of education the informants have different levels of education starting from elementary to graduate. When viewed in terms of marital status found 3 different types of status that is married and have children, not married, and have no husband (divorce live/death).

Abstract

This study tries to explain how the political role of UNHCR in addressing the Rohingya refugees. UNHCR is one of the international organizations engaged in the evacuation. Researchers try to explain how an international organization UNHCR to play its role as a political actor in carrying out the mandate given by the UN (United Nations). UNHCR in Indonesia, especially in Medan in running their political role is not alone, but in collaboration with various stakeholders, including IOM (International Organitation for Migration), Immigration, Government of Indonesia and other parties. This research is very interesting considering the issue of Rohingya refugees are talking about around the world. The problem in this research are researchers trying to see more detail how exactly the UNHCR as a political actor performing their duties. Does UNHCR has done its job well? How the processes undertaken by UNHCR in handling the Rohingya refugees? Already in accordance with the procedure or not the steps undertaken by UNHCR in its handling? This study is expected to answer questions about what role and how UNHCR's performance in handling the Rohingya refugees in Medan. In this research using descriptive qualitative method. Where the author will analyze the data obtained either from source books, magazines, legal documents, website pages and use the key informant interview techniques. The concept according to K.J Holsti in describing the role of politics and the use of methods of political analysis by Hudson used in this study.

Abstract

This research describes the roots of ethnic conflict in Myanmar and the impact of this conflict. This ethnic conflict involves two ethnicities, namely the Rohingya Muslim ethnicity and the Rakhine Buddhist ethnicity. This conflict causes thousands of people to try to flee every year to Bangladesh, Malaysia and Indonesia. They tried to run away because of their rights which were suppressed because of forced labor and persecution. The root of the problem of this ethnic conflict can be seen from three levels, namely the systemic level which states the attitude of the Myanmar government and the existence of conspiracy with foreign parties, the Domestic level which states the condition of the Myanmar government led by the military junta, and the level of perception which states that Rohingya ethnicities are similar to Bengalis. This conflict caused a massive wave of refugees and humanitarian problems and invited reactions from the international community and the United Nations who have intervened to help resolve ethnic conflicts that have been going on for quite a long time. This study uses a qualitative description research method. Secondary data is obtained through documentary studies, namely through magazines, newspapers, books and other sources related to this research topic.

Abstract

Aceh Party is a political party which is a local specialty party of former GAM’s combatant. After the determination the name of Dr. Zaini Abdullah and Muzakkir Manaf as Prospective Candidates for Governor and Vice Governor of Aceh’s Party in 2011, split within the Party of Aceh, immediately surfaced to the officials public of Aceh’s party, Kamaruddin and Sofyan Dawood in war opinion involved the mass opinion. the conflict between elite’s party occurs because the unilateral decision made in the Aceh’s Party leader Determination that both Dr. Zaini Abdullah and Muzakkir Manaf as Prospective Candidates for Governor and Vice Governor are not through the appropriate mechanisms of AD/ART (Charter/Bylaw). Therefore, the author is focused in the case of internal conflict in Aceh’s Party. This study aims to determine the cause of the conflict as well as describe and analyze the shape of the internal conflict in Aceh’s Party between senior and junior elite party. The results of this study indicate that the internal conflict in Aceh’s elite Party comes from differences nominations between senior and junior elite party to become candidates in Governor and Vice Governor of Aceh. The conflict in DPA’s (Central Area) level of Aceh’s Party creep up to the DPW’s (Board Area) perhaps creep up to the public level with a change of central area, some of board area’s Chairman and Aceh Party cadres are considered partial to junior’s elite. This conflict is also due to the divergence of interests between the elites residing in Aceh’ Party, as well as the internal factionalism bipolar stronghold of the senior and junior elite’s faction that formed because of differing views on the establishment of Candidates for Governor and Deputy Governor from the Aceh’s Party. This conflict including into realistic and latent conflict because the roots are shallow rooted and do not arise simply because of a misunderstanding about something that can be overcome by using communication.

Abstract

This research tries to describe and analyze how woman's role in North Sumatra HMI Badko organization. There is a semi-autonomous institution in HMI organization that put its woman's cadres in a special position. The semi-autonomous institution called Kohati. Kohati was formed as a forum to facilitate women cadres in order their contribution to the HMI greater. Additionally, Kohati shaped to women cadres in the organization do not feel marginalized its existence by a cadre of men who are more numerous than the women cadres This is a descriptive study with the aim to give an overview of the situation by using qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques used in this research is the data collection techniques derived directly from the source through the results of interviews with researchers using primary data sources and supported by secondary data. The theory used in this study is the role of theory, the theory of cadres, gender theory and organizational theory. Role theory is used to position a person in accordance with a given social position either formally or informally. Cadres theory is used to fully understand the policy and ideological struggle of the organization to be able to implement a consistent struggle at all times, situations and places. The gender theory is used to identify the difference of male and female is viewed in terms of social and cultural conditions, values ​​and behavior, mentality and emotions as well as other nonbiological factors. Organizational theory can be used as a political system because the organization is made up of internal support that attempts to control the decision-making process in order to improve their position. The results of this study are conducted by empowerment Kohati in improving the quality of life of women, especially the quality of its cadres. Empowerment done through the provision of access to lectures, seminars on women, cadre training and leadership training. Kohati also examines gender issues that exist in society. In addition to improving the quality of women's roles, Kohati roles in increasing women's economies and political. Gender equality in North Sumatra HMI Badko organization has manifested itself in the division of roles and structural positions. But gender equality happens only superficially. Women only occupy positions such as treasurer and secretary. In addition, the role of women in decision-making was assessed as weak because the number of women in this organization is still small.
