Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of Talking Stick Learning Model on Student Learning Results in Basic Automotive Technology for Class X TKR Hydraulic System at SMK Negeri 1 Buntok on Academic Year 2017/2018. This research applied the Quasi - Experimental design based on the research design using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The initial test will be given before treatment while subsequently the final test is afterward. The population for this research is taken from TKR X and X class TSM State Vocational High School or SMK-1 Buntok as many as 56 people students. TKR X class denotes the experimental class with 28 students in which implementing the Talking Stick Learning Model. It is about 34 students used as the control class. The research result shows that the data on student learning outcomes by the Talking Stick learning model provided the average value on 78.64 students. According to the results of t test calculations, we obtained t count > t table, (6.24 > 2.005). However, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. This means that the applied learning method such as Talking Stick Learning Model can give the improvement effect on Student Learning Outcomes after implementing the study activity in formal class for Basic Automotive Technology of Hydraulic Systems.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of usage of labvolt hydraulics as a learning medium in the subjects of the basics of hydraulic systems taught in Class X motorcycle engineering and business in SMK 1 Palangka Raya. The method used in this study is based on experimental research by quasi experimental design. The experimental design in this research applies the method of none-equivalent control group design. Furthernore, the population was throughout students of Class X TBSM and X TKRO in SMK-1 Palangka Raya as many as 67. The samples of Class X TBSM as experimental class are about 33 students using multimedia labvolt hydraulics while class X TKRO as control class allocated around 34 participants. THB data collection instrument (test learning outcomes) is designed as the form of questions. This study addresses the following results; based on student learning outcomes for the data using labvolt hydraulics media, the average value of students is 70.75. As consequent, the goal of achieving KKM is successful and by the results of t test have obtained tcount> ttable with significance level about 5 %, namely 3.87 > 1.997. Thus it is concluded that hypothesis H0 is rejected H1 is accepted. Thus it can be concluded that there is the influence of the use of Labvolt Haydraulics as a Learning Media to Learning results of Class X Students of Motorcycle Engineering and Business in the Basics Hydraulic Systems at SMK-1 Palangka Raya at Academic Year 2017/2018. This is as well shown by the results of the average of experimental class post-test by reaching the average of KKM score compared to the results of control class average. Therefore, the use of multimedia labvolt hydraulics is noticeably successful in improving the student’s learning outcomes in the basics hydraulic system lesson.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the complete facilities of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Workshop Safety in accordance with school standards and the Compliance Level of Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) in Concrete Workshop, Building Construction, Sanitation and Maintenance (KGSP) SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya. Based on the results of the indicator achievement in the completeness of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Workshop Safety at Concrete Workshop, Department of Building Construction, Sanitation and Maintenance (KGSP) of SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya, it has 49.9% of achievement with less criteria. This will be the evaluation reference and the follow-up for workshops and schools to provide more attention on the protection facilities being more complete. Whereas the achievement of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System in the Concrete Workshop, Building, Sanitation and Maintenance (KGSP) Department which is 63.1% has entered into sufficient categories. Due to the implementation of K3 has been achieved, it is necessary to increase the implementation of K3 in accordance with the K3 management system.

Abstract

This research is carried out to investigate the effect of learning outcomes of students enter classes after applied NHT (Numbered Head Together) as type cooperative learning. The engineering subject such as component hydraulic system and compressors is planned being the class lesson for regarding study. This research implements True Experimental Design model based on the type of Posttest Control Design for 2 (two) groups. Each of them is selected randomly (R). The first group is given as treatment (x) while other does not be involved. The treated group is as the experimental group and subsequently the non-treated group is designed as the control group. After those implementations, the posttest denotes the experimental results in which the t-test with a significance level of ? = 0.05 has obtained a tcount of 8.99 while the ttable value was 2,000. Due to tcount > ttable, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using the NHT learning model (Numbered Head Together) on the student’s learning outcomes of class X TKRO 2 of SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya.

Abstract

During Entering the 21st century, the globalization is more intensive than previous era for competition in the job market since confidently observed nowadays. In similar side, it is unpredictable and fluctuated following by market demand and market trend. Innovation and creativity are very necessary as the example of this phenomenon in development of science and technology. Some of them can be directly observed such as newest brand of domestic products, innovative services, communication modes, attitudes in communication, the delivery services, and so on. Therefore, the role of Vocational School is being crucial to give the output with standard qualification of alumnus who have experienced on job training in real industrial workplaces. Industrial Job Practices are part of the Dual System Education (PSG) as a joint program between Vocational High Schools and the Business World/Industrial World (DU/DI). The existence of industrial practice, will provide insight and knowledge to students about the real job markets. In addition, by the existence of Industrial Job Practices, students can apply the theories that have been obtained in formal class beforehand to shape their basic and intermediate industrial skills. Based on this background, this study aims to investigate and find out t how Industrial Job Practices might influence the student readiness in entering the real job field and job market by students in Class XII of Building construction engineering competency program in SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya at academic year 2018/2019. This research adopts the quantitative-descriptive study where is conducted at SMK N 1 Palangka Raya From 17 May 2019 to 11 June 2019. It is about 69 students of class XII Building Construction Engineering Field Program which is consisting ofrespectively 20 students majoring in Brick and Concrete Construction Engineering, 17 students majoring in Wood Construction Engineering, 32 students majoring in Civil Drawing Engineering. The technique of collecting data implements a closed questionnaire method (questionnaire) while the instrument validity test was carried out in class XII construction engineering competency Program at SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya using construct validity. The results of the instrument validity test produces 40 as the valid statement items and 0 being invalid statement which is counted to 40 instruments. In this research, the reliability testing applies Cronbach alpha formula that is followed by the descriptive data analysis technique. The research results showed that there is about 79.87% effecting the readiness of students entering the job field in the Department of Brick and Concrete Construction Engineering as the high category. Nonetheless, it is around 78.38% and 78.85% respectively for students of Wood Construction Engineering program positioning the high category as well.

Abstract

T This study aims to determine the influence of implementation of video learning media on the subject of motorcycle injection fuel systemtaught in class XI with vocational concentration is Motorcycle Business Engineering at SMK 1 Kahayan Hilir. The research is based on True Experimental Design by the Pretest - Postest type for Control Group Design. The study uses population of whole students in class XI TBSM as many as 38, in which the class XI TBSM-A is as a Control class with a total sample at about 18 participants using image media. Meanwhile Class XI TBSM-B becomes an experimental class target with a total sampleat around 20 students for video media model. Data collection is obtained from the pre-test and post-test sheet. Learning students’ result of Test Instrument (THB) contributes as the research instrument which is using the form of Multiple Choice Based on the results of pre-test data analysis, the average value of the experimental class reaches 59.60 while the control class provides 60 point. In the post-test, the experimental class gives 75.95 subsequently the control class is about 69.17. Therefore, the average of experimental class and control class show 5% in significant level by obtained the prices for ttable and t are respectively 2.028 and 5.55. Then, results depicts that there is 5.55 > 2,028. Thus it can be concluded that there is the influence of the use of video learning media on the learning students’ results of Class XI for the subject of motorbike fuel injection systems. This results informs us that the average value of experimental class for post-test is higher than the results of the average value for control class. As the consequent, the use of video media can contribute as the learning model to help the learning process in improving of students’ learning progress.

Abstract

The material of pictorial drawing projection (3D) relatively does not achieve the minimum passing grade at about 70. It can be observed from the student learning outcomes in the previous lecturing year that was only 27.27% which is able to reach the minimum criteria for completeness. Based on this background, this research implements a learning model by involving students to be active in the learning process. Then it is expected to improve the student’s learning outcome by using cooperative learning model-type of STAD. The purpose of this research is to improve the student’s learning progress after applying the cooperative learning model-type of STAD. Furthermore, this study is descriptive by the quantitative approach. Whole students of class X BPK SMK 1 Palangka Raya academic year on 2018/2019 is applied as Population of this research and using the total sampling technique based on about 29 students to be the sample. In order to obtain the data collection, it applies the writing test such essay model during last meeting. The item validition of the final test was verified by three academically professional in which consisting of a lecturer from Department of Construction Engineering Education in FKIP University of Palangka Raya and two vocational school teachers for technical drawing subject in SMK-1 Palangka Raya. Before the items were being validated, by around 25 questions have been proposed there were only 8 questions being approved. Meanwhile, in this research the student’s test result is organized being the data collection. Briefly, this study is able to show that the STAD type in learning model shows the positive progress due to technically vocational students could provide the active role in a group for each meeting, actively giving some questions and actively cooperating to each other to solve given problems. By 29 students, there were 27 students which obtained the final score at above 70 of the minimum completeness criteria. Nonetheless the students can perform the cognitive achievement level at 83% and 93% is for the classical completeness learning. Finally, students level achievement in psychomotor can reach 77% with the classical completeness learning on 100%.
