Abstract

Historical education in the context of learning must offer valuable solutions to overcoming character problems. This urgency should be understood by all history educators as a mandate that history is a heritage of values, it is necessary to absorb values, so that the goal of history in forming wise human beings will be achieved. Self-esteem is one aspect of personality that has an important role and has a major influence on individual attitudes and behavior. This value is very important to support the national identity and character of students. The dynamics of modernization requires a container of values in cultural transformation, so that students who are citizens have filters to sort out the impact of the current of modernization. The research method used is a qualitative paradigm (qualitative description). The results of the discussion: 1) Explanation of self-esteem in character building; 2) The position of learning history in growing self-esteem. The conclusions of this study include: 1) Self-esteem has a major influence on the formation of students' character; 2) History learning is a bridge for students' character growth; 3) Character building is very difficult in national education if learning is not oriented to certain values.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic that has plagued the world since its first case was discovered on 17 November 2019 and spread to Indonesia. Covid-19 not only caused casualties but changed the Indonesian education system. The Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and the Department of Education in various regions issue instructions to carry out learning that is initially in the classroom and becomes online. Various media such as the Zoom application, WhatsApp group, Google Classroom are used for online learning. The use of various media has become a challenge for history teachers and students, especially for schools in disadvantaged, outermost, and outermost (3T) areas such as SMAN 1 Rupat Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The challenge is not to support the internet network, if any, not all students have a smartphone. Even students who have smartphones are not always able to buy internet quota. Evaluation results, the percentage of students present when using; 29, 62 % application zoom, 48, 12% google classroom, and 81, 43% WhatsApp group.

Abstract

Students at SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta actually have sensitivity to the surrounding environment, not least in seeing and critically assessing the behavior of their peers in social media. It's just that students' concerns about Islamic ethics in social media need to be poured into positive things, such as writing a journal. This study aims to examine students' understanding of Islamic ethics and the challenges they face in writing scientific journals. The results of this study indicate the existence of an independent curriculum as a facilitator to encourage students to write scientific journals.

Abstract

Distance learning is one of the policies taken by the Indonesian government by studying it carefully as an effort to break the chain of the pandemic that is currently happening in the community, especially in the school environment. This policy is without social distancing that occurs in learning between teachers and students, which was originally a learning method mostly in the classroom meeting face to face, and now it is online-based learning. This writing uses the literacy study method, however, the implementation of online learning certainly has challenges/obstacles, both from the aspect of human resources, infrastructure, and technical implementation. With regard to this online learning policy, of course, all parties must understand well that online learning is an effective policy so that the learning outcomes of students during learning are not inferior to the results of face-to-face learning in the classroom as before the pandemic. Changes and developments in technology are very important for students in participating in online learning. Various platforms are used in online learning. Various positive responses were given by students regarding online learning. The competence and skills of teachers must be continuously updated and supported by school policies that encourage teachers to continue learning. Then it requires an evaluation related to online learning so that learning objectives can be achieved properly and maximally.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 telah mengubah paradigma kehidupan manusia. Pandemi juga mengubah cara belajar di sekolah yang awalnya hanya menggunakan metode konvensional menjadi digital. Perpaduan antara pembelajaran digital dan konvensional adalah definisi dari blended learning. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran campuran ada beberapa kendala yang dialami oleh guru selama proses pembelajaran di kelas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat implementasi dan implementasi blended learning, termasuk kendala yang dihadapi dan solusi yang diberikan oleh pihak sekolah dan guru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan tahapan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Fokus kajian penelitian ini adalah penerapan model blended learning pada guru sejarah SMA swasta di Kota Depok. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemahaman guru sejarah tentang pembelajaran campuran sudah baik, namun masih terdapat beberapa kendala dalam menerapkan model pembelajaran ini yang umumnya dihadapi oleh guru dan siswa. Berbagai pihak memiliki cara tersendiri untuk menyelesaikan masalah ini dengan berbagai strategi dan antisipasinya masing-masing.

Abstract

This article explains the values of moral education in the form of educational moral values contained in the history books of class X students. This research uses the bibliography method with a historical approach. The results of the study indicate that there are several values including 1) Divinity values, Divinity moral values include obedience and the moral values found by researchers regarding the value of obedience. Being obedient and obedient to the rules needs to be trained and applied; 2) The moral values contained in noble character are: honesty, namely a social law which states that every human being has a tendency, to be honest, and feels guilty if he is not honest. Patience must be cultivated. Patience is an attitude that naturally must exist and be grown in anyone. Patience can be interpreted as an attitude that is not weak, enthusiastic, and does not give up easily in the face of every test or trial given by the Almighty; 3) Moral values, relating to moral values, the next is the aspect of the character. Someone who has good character or behavior is a reflection of a person who is commendable, has character, is polite, has respect, tolerance, and so on; and 4) Personality values, including some values of independence and self-confidence. Independent and confident attitude. An independent attitude reflects that a person is able to maintain everything and his existence in life.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss how the mosque's economy is through Baitul Maal wa Tamwil (BMT) Solok City. Solok City BMT is a non-governmental organization in the economic field and has become an icon of Solok City in order to realize the mission of Solok City, which is to become the "Kota Beras Serambi Madinah". This article uses historical research methods with data collection techniques through heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results showed that the management of BMT was carried out voluntarily, institutionally this institution was not a legal entity and its members were active members of the local mosque. Regarding the activities of the Solok City BMT, it is only limited to borrowing and collecting funds and does not have financial service products like those of other microfinance institutions.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to obtain information and to see the effectiveness of Permata Bunda PKBM as a non-formal education institution in an effort to reduce nine-year compulsory education. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach, with a case study approach. This research was conducted at the Permata Bunda Community Learning Activity Center (PKBM), which is located in Jorong Bariang Nagari, Lubuk Gadang Utara, Sangir sub-district, South Solok Regency. The results showed that PKBM Permata Bunda has been effective as a non-formal educational institution in helping people who have dropped out of school, this can be seen from the educators and education staff who are set according to qualifications, the curriculum used, the learning process that makes it easier for citizens to learn, the curriculum that used and assessment in accordance with predetermined criteria. The existing facilities and infrastructure at Permata Bunda PKBM are adequate to carry out the learning process, such as the completion of learning facilities and buildings as well as secretarial facilities.

Abstract

This article aims to review efforts to overcome the difficulties of learning history during the COVID-19 pandemic through teaching materials in the form of hyper-content-based e-modules.  The Research qualitative methods, the main data is obtained from the results of in-depth interviews with key and core informants. Since mid-March 2020, face-to-face learning has been abolished and replaced by distance learning online. Teachers and students are forced to suddenly switch and adapt to using digital devices. This sudden change resulted in "uncertainty" in the process of implementing history learning. One of the reasons is that there are still many technologically stuttering students and teachers. For history teachers, one of the difficulties encountered during the pandemic was the difficulty of teaching the material completely. They also find it difficult to develop varied learning methods so that the material can be comprehensively understood so that students are able to interpret and use it in life. This is exacerbated by the difficulties and technical constraints often encountered in online learning. Alternative learning aids are needed to overcome this problem, especially regarding material and technical constraints. The development of hyper-content-based e-modules can be an alternative solution. Teaching materials in the form of hyper content-based e-modules are teaching materials consisting of text, images, sounds and hyperlinks packaged with a digital platform. Hypercontent-based e-modules have advantages: lightweight and easy access, so students can learn the material without being limited by space and time. In addition, hyper-content e-modules that are packaged are not only in the form of text but also include sound and images, making it easier for students to understand the material. The results showed that hyper content-based e-modules help students learn independently, can be done anytime and anywhere and lighten the burden of student learning.

Abstract

Sejarah lokal memberikan sumbangsih besar terhadap sejarah nasional. Namun, bukan berarti sejarah lokal selalu menjurus kearah politik. Sejarah lokal juga dapat dimaknai sebagai pengalaman berharga dalam penanaman nilai dan karakter bagi peserta didik. Maka dari itu, dibutuhkan peran optimal dari guru sejarah untuk merancang sebuah pembelajaran sejarah lokal yang dapat menjalankan fungsi enkulturasi berpikir kritis. Konsep berpikir kritis diharapkan mampu mengarahkan peserta didik untuk berpikir solusional pada saat yang tepat. Penulisan ini menggunakan paradigma kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur. Hasil penelitian meliputi: 1) Deteksi nilai filosofis dalam sejarah lokal; 2) Berpikir kritis dalam kajian sejarah lokal; 3) Metode aktivasi dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Kesimpulan yang di dapat yakni: 1) Nilai-nilai sejarah (historical value) yang terdapat pada sejarah lokal sangatlah penting untuk dijadikan refleksi dan imajinasi masa depan dalam berkehidupan dan berbangsa; 2) Pembelajaran sejarah lokal dapat menjadi lebih menarik jika dikontekstualisasikan dengan lingkungan sekitar; 3) Guru dapat leluasa untuk menggunakan berbagai model pembelajaran berbasis nilai pada materi sejarah lokal.
