Abstract

Water pollution criteria are likely affecting the occurrence of water pollution indicators. Numerous factors could determine the river water pollution level. These determinant factors will eventually affect the river water pollution countermeasures. Responsibilities to reduce environmental degradation and improve environmental qualities belong to the government and the entire community. It is essential to perform collaborations among the stakeholders since pollution is derived from numerous sectors and activities. This study aims to scrutinize the associations among regulation, activity/business compliance, and public participation both partially and simultaneously towards river water pollution levels in Purbalingga Regency. In this study, 67 respondents were incorporated to take our surveys. The respondents were determined following the purposive sampling technique. Multiple regression analysis was applied through the partial regression coefficient test (τ test) and simultaneous regression coefficient test (F test). The result shows that the R-value of 0,963 could indicate a strong correlation between independent and dependent variables. Then adjust the R2 (R Square) value to 0,854. The activity and business obedience variable show a partially significant effect, which the significance probability level at α = 0.05 towards the level of river water pollution. Both regulation (X1) and activity and business obedience (X2) variables are significantly affecting the river water pollution level (Y), where Fhitung value = 12,707 and Ftabel = 2,74. The conclusion of this study is that the variation of independent variables used in the model could explain as much as 85,40% of the dependent variable variation (river water pollution level). While the rest, 14,60%, is influenced by external variables not applied in this study. On the other hand, the regulation and public participation variables are collectively observed as partially significant effects with a substantial probability level at α = 0.01.

Abstract

The Baturraden Botanical Garden is one of the developing destinations in Banyumas, and the increase can see this in visitors. The presence of visitors with all their activities will affect environmental conditions, so proper management is needed to reduce the negative impacts but can still provide visitors comfort and satisfaction. This study aims to determine the carrying capacity of ecotourism conservation in Baturraden Botanical Garden. The analysis technique to obtain carrying capacity is based on the modified Cifuentes formula (1992), consisting of physical carrying capacity/PCC, real carrying capacity/RCC, and effective carrying capacity/ECC. The method used the quantitative descriptive method, observation, questionnaires, interviews, and literature studies to collect data. The formulation of the development strategy was carried out utilizing SWOT analysis. The results of the calculation obtained a PCC value of 28,697 visitors/day/5,175 ha, an RCC value of 107 visitors/day/5,175 ha, an ECC value of 86 visitors/day/5,175 ha. The value of the conservation carrying capacity of the Baturraden Botanical Garden is currently not exceeded, can still accommodate visitors without causing environmental damage, and can be well served by the manager.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and examine the effect of people's business credit (KUR), financial literacy, and product innovation on the performance of convection SMEs in South Tangerang City. This study uses the Planned of Behavior (TPB) theory as the basis for submitting research hypotheses. The population in this study is convection SMEs in South Tangerang City, which is registered in the data of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling until 85 research samples were found. The results show that KUR and financial literacy affect the performance of SMEs, while product innovation does not affect the performance of SMEs. Among the independent variables, financial literacy turned out to be the dominant influence. This research theoretically supports TPB, where humans will do something as planned if the behavior is believed to provide benefits for themselves. The results of this study imply that convection SMEs are aware that their business performance will be better by having financial literacy. In terms of KUR, the low level of business actors in understanding KUR impacts low business performance. Meanwhile, innovation in the convection business does not affect performance because, until now, the government is still implementing import policies, so domestic production is indirectly still challenging to develop.

Abstract

Farmer regeneration aims to increase agricultural competitiveness due to the aging of farmers towards the existence of young farmers. The results of the 2018 inter-census survey showed that young farmers aged less than 35 were 11.66%. This situation encourages the importance of finding solutions to realize the regeneration of farmers. This study describes the existence of young farmers through increasing agricultural extension activities and the role of the family. The analysis used in this study is multiple linear regression, and the sample in this study amounted to 90 young farmers. The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of the role of agricultural extension workers and the level of regeneration on the existence of young farmers in Kecamatan Pacet. The results showed that agricultural extension activities and the level of regeneration had a positive and significant influence on the presence of young farmers, meaning that young farmers needed support to take action or behavior for their farming activities; the existence of young farmers could not be separated from the role of farmers in general who motivated them by introducing the function—farmer groups to develop sustainable agriculture.
